Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Nabbie - Sorry to hear about your sister's MIL. :grouphug:

Low key weekend here. I'm trying to psych myself up about going back to work tomorrow, but it has been hard! At least it will be nice to see my work friends again.

I sure am ready to be over this congestion and coughing.

Thanks Moo it has been really hard on their family.

Hope your first day back is an easy one and pain free one. Sorry to hear you have a cold now. I can feel the allergies coming on. But I do love the trees budding , I have a flowering tree in the back yard and it is beautiful right now with all it's pink flowers.

Nicholas birthday is tomorrow, he says he wants nothing and that is what we have so far....:lmao: He is really hard to buy for right now. Everything is way to expensive that he may like. He would like a tv for his room but then we have to worry about him staying up all night. Hasn't said if he wants a cookie or a cake either. Will have to make that tomorrow I guess. Have to go shopping today.

Hi everyone, thought I better check in here.

Moo, glad you are finally able to be well enough to return to work (even if you dont want to, LOL)

Nothing to report here, same old, which I guess is a good thing, no news is good news. Tomorrow I have a cardilogist appt to see if indeed I may have had a heart attack I never knew I had. Even if I did, I dont know what they would do about it. I guess I'll find out tomorrow (or in a few weeks and several hundred dollars later.

Have a good day, everyone!

and Happy Birthday to Nicholas! I hear you on the gifts, it only gets harder from here....

Playing with WDW numbers. I can't just walk away from a WDW 30% off code good for any room, in my case rooms. So far the best deal is two rooms at ASMu. Plus I have limited dates to work with. I have to use it by by June 14 and travel by Dec 23. Well since I am student teaching this fall I have to used it by Aug 26. So I am looking at Aug 14-20. IF we go we would most likely drive and I have to have a couple days at the end to get us back home, and recover before I start school. This is all a HUGE one big MAYBE.

I just need to find something to hoc! I have an idea, but I can't find it, so I am tearing the house apart today.

Finally got approved to sub in my kids district. My phone is ringing like crazy every morning to sub. With Maddy home in the mornings I can't sub every day but I average 2 a week.

Moo: Hope your knee is not giving you too much trouble.
BG: Maybe they will put you on something to help prevent you from having another if that is the case. My mom had triple by pass last September and then had to have one of the bypass veins reopened last month. Scary stuff. Praying you are fine.

 Nab and Pumba!

day 2 of having a headache, yuck.

Have a great day!

Mony-- I have had a headache for two days too but I blame it on the strange weather. You must be having a fun subbing kids. Sometimes I think Hannah has a sub more then her regular teacher. :lmao:

Marita-- How did you make at the Doctors yesterday?

Moo-- Is your knee holding up , do you have to use a cane?

The sun is trying to shine :goodvibes

Have to go drop of hubby's truck today for repairs. He has to leave it there so that means dropping it off and taking him to pick it back up. Have also go scout out where Hannah has to go on Saturday for her Guides It is in another town over and we have to be there early so I like to be prepared and know where I am going.

Mony - Congrats on all your subbing calls and keep finagling for that trip! ;)

My knee is holding up OK but I do need to elevate it during the work day.

Still wishing I'd stayed off work for another week or two! Mainly because I'm still hacking up a lung.

Hi all,

Mony, great your are getting sub deals now. Good luck on your DIsney hunt!

Moo, I have a question for you. I know you have a recumbent bike. Did you use it much (probably not now with your knee issues). I am thinking of getting one to get some excercise, and I know I will not go to a gym or for walks, but I need to do something.

The cardialogist went fine, just a general exam. He said I maybe possibly have had some issue, but he wants me to come in for a stress test and and a sonogram next month. My prediction: nothing wrong after paying at least $500 after insurance :(

PS: Is Pumba at Disney now?

You know what a goog mom does? She searches for sub jobs so she can sub for her teenagers and not tell them and surprises them. That is what a goog mom does. Z is lucky I couldn't work today, or I would have been his language arts teacher today. Insert evil laugh!

High School scares me. I haven't subbed for one yet. I prefer the preschoolers over them any day! Have an ECDD preschool job lined up for tomorrow (Early Childhood Development Delay).

I think I need an early childhood endorsement to add to my degree. That should be easy with my background. Makes you more marketable.

Looks like a super sunshiney day!

Prayers to you all!

Sunny but really windy today.

Spend 5 hours of it in rush hour traffic. There and back from my mom's. Went to show support to my BIL and his family at the funeral. I knew my mom wanted a ride but when I got there I had to pick up my other sister and sister in law too. Not sure why I had to do the driving when they are only 1/2 away from the funeral...my gas I guess. :confused3 My leg is sore from all the stop and go on the highway. Would not want to commute everyday like that , but a lot of people do.

I got to give my mom her Mother's day flowers in person this year. Plus since they are a few days early she can admire them before the rest come on the weekend. :lmao:

Mony-- I would not want to sub for teenagers. :scared1: I would stick to the little ones too.

Marita - I have a Schwinn recumbent bike that has various programs on it (ride in the park, interval training, hills course, etc., or I can just ride it at my own speed). I used it quite a bit while I was losing weight after my weight loss surgery, then I didn't use it much prior to surgery when my knee was really hurting. However, I can use it now and have been riding it quite a bit lately to keep my knees limber. They have me ride a bike at PT before I do my exercises. I like having one at home because you can watch TV or read while you're exercising. I would definitely recommend getting the recumbent type because of having a back rest. I'd also suggest looking for one with arm rests, which the bike at my gym has but mine does not. It makes it easier to ride for a longer period of time!

Mony - I also agree with sticking with the younger kids!!! I'm sure it would be mortifying for your sons to have you sub in their classes, LOL!

Nabbie - I'm sure your family appreciated your being there for them! And it was nice for you to be able to get flowers to your mom before Sunday! Mari asked my hubby about a Mothers Day gift for me and I told him to let her know that I just wanted a one-on-one phone call, so we chatted for over an hour tonight by ourselves about wedding planning stuff. I loved it!!! Of course, I filled my hubby in on the important stuff afterward.

Hey y'all!
There's no one at work today, so I figured I'd goof off a bit.
Evil web marketing has been rubbing Disney deals in my face, so the imaginary trip won't go away! :hyper:
It'll probably happen if things with this guy work out.
His name is Wes and he's really sweet, but he lives 3 hours away.

So what's new with everyone?

Marita - what resort are you at? I want to know where I can meet you for my imaginary trip at the end of September. :rotfl2:
(You guys know it's totally not imaginary, right?)

I'm still at Port Orleans, but also splitting time at All Star, Hope your trip (guy) works out :thumbsup2

"Happy Mother's Day !!!!!"

Hope all the wonderful mothers out there have a great day!

Hubby and the kids got me another charm for my pandora bracelet that says MOM and has three pink stones, a hidden mickey if you will. Hannah made a few crafts for me and wrote me a poem. Nicholas gave me a nice hug and wished me Happy Mothers Day. From a teenager I will gladly take that.

hello ...I have missed you all...
The weather in Disney was unbelievable....HOT....we arrived last Saturday to the temps of the low 90's...quite a change from 40's in Maine...BUT didnt miss the cold....We stayed at Pop Century and it was very nice...I did miss Port Orleans French Quarter...but we were 7 in our family so Pop it was...and We couldnt get ressies in Movies for that time frame...

We had breakfast at Norway Princess's and omg that was awesome...that was on the next morning of course...we still were dragging our buns as we got up at two thirty am to get our stuff ready and pick up our daughter (whose husband I mentioned before is Disney challenged)..She had a great time with us and our son and dil and two rug rats....they were totally awesome ...

We also had dinner at Crystal Palace and they had a platter with chocolate decorated strawberries and six candies and written in chocolate Congratulations on 45th anniversary...very very surprised and happy...As always CP is great...love the food ..the selections and great service too..

Biergarten also recognized our 45th and the Oompa Band said it ...Surprised again...

We were disappointed in some of the counter service foods....heck I wanted white buns on my burger so it wouldnt fall apart...and no spaghetti and meatball meals anywheres...
We had a great time and as always...glad to get back in my own bed and my own house and weather...we need to work up to 90s ...HAHAHA...

Oh yah...My daughter and I went to Japan and got to do the pearl thingie...then we both got the little pendant to go on our chains at home...I had mine with my birthstone next to the pearl...it was gorgeous and we had fun doing this...Some young boy picked out an oyster for his mama and got a twin silver pearls ...that was totally unreal and they were gorgeous...

But my doggie is home and she keeps on making sure we are here...we missed her and she is happy to be home with her mama and papa....

Missed you all and I will read backwards later...still doing LAUNDRY..hahaha..

Welcome Home Pumba! :goodvibes

Have been having nice weather here, not 90's but sunny and warm enought to go out without a coat or sweater.

Had a late brunch after church so not sure when supper will be tonight. We will probably graze while watching to much tv. Survivor finale is on tonight with the Series end of Housewives and Celebrity Apprentice. I am a reality junky...:happytv:

Baseball starts up this week, Tuesday and Thursday. Good thing hubby is home to go to one because Hannah has her moving up ceremony for Guides. She will get her pin and the rest of her badges. Not sure if she is going to do Pathfinders or not. They have a new one starting called Trek too for more outdoor adventures. Don't have to decide right now.

Can't believe how these months are flying by, summer will be here before we know it.

I wont cry I wont cry I WONT CRY.......THE MAN CAME oops ...to do the kitchen and dining room.......he did the pulling up of the defective flooring and then layers of gross smelling stuff....and then he undid the vinyl and OMG the same thing.....indented places every so many inches and right straight thru...the top of the vinyl and the bottom of the vinyl ...which was very thick...he showed me then went out to call the company..then hubby was outside and he saw it.....I cannot believe this is happening...it will be another special order and then how long for this one to come.....I am very upset....SO we are going back to home depot after my rug rat leaves and pick out another style or color...I am not going to get this one cause three strikes it is out...not taking another chance to make it three strikes......or I could say third works like a charm....

SOOOOOO ...good bye cause I am going to go and take some tylenol...right now...

Pumba, nothing ever goes right for us when we purchase an appliance or have work done.

I have the longest story about a dishwasher. It was aweful!!!!

Another time perhaps.

Welcome back, we have a code and it's driving me mad! Trying so hard to "find" some money so we can go back.

Hi Cel! I am trying to make an imaginary trip happen.

My kids and I spent Mother's Day going to church, selling carnation for Right to Life, purchasing project materials, making projects, making Dole Whips, and playing Scene-It Disney. It was a great day!

I hope you all had a nice Mother's Day too!

Today cleaning cleaning cleaning to get ready for the Communion Party on Sunday. I see they are calling for high of 79 and 10% rain. I'll take it! I can put the big tent up in the yard and keep everyone outside! Hope that forcast is accurate.

Needed a little break and stopped in to say HI!

Well, imaginary trip is booked. Eep!
All star music.
woo!
Savings of $630.
Double woo!

YAY, Cel! :cool1:

Does this mean you are coming with Wes? Inquiting minds want to know...

Pumba, that story about you floor sucks, so sorry:hug:

I had a most boring day at work today. I broke it up a lttle bit by driving to the Contemp to get a haircut. I swear in all the time I work there I never saw a single person walk in. But they were booked up for another 40 minutes and I didnt want to wait, so I'll try again tomorrow, this time I have an appt for 1pm. I haven't had a hair cut in ages, and it shows.....
