Moo'vers 2012 Edition! come on in!

Slow weekend around here! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend :goodvibes

Hubby and I took a little road trip to Ann Arbor Friday evening so I could stock up on the tea I like and do a little shopping at Trader Joe's. We also stopped for a nice dinner on the way home. It was nice to get out of the house for a few hours!!!

I just hung around home the rest of the weekend until today. I was out and about returning my coworker's shower chair and doing a bit of shopping and ended up having car trouble. My car just conked out :( Don had to come rescue me and we'll have to have my car towed to the repair shop tomorrow -- a guy stopped to help and they were able to push my car into a parking lot behind a restaurant. Grrr. Not sure what happened, but the oil and engine lights both came on. Sure hope it's nothing major.

Wow, Moo, that majorly sucks about your car. Glad hubby was able to rescue you. Glad you got our some this weekend.

I once again did nothing this weekend, despite having Friday off.:( Stil no haircut. At this rate I could just dye my hair blonde and apply to be Rapunzel, LOL.

Heading to Allstar tomorrow for my first official day there (except for a couple of meetings before). But I plan on cutting out about 3:30 and go back to Port so I dont have to deal with all the extra traffic/distance driving home. If you mess with my drive time/getting home on time, I get very unhappy!!

Ok I know it is April and we can still get pretty cold temps. but snow really.....So far haven't seen any but to the east and north of us they are getting hit with a couple of inches.

Moo-- Hope it isn't something big that went wrong with your car. I fear this all the time when we are driving on the busy highway. Wouldn't want to break down there.

Marita-- Blonde might be a nice change for you....:rotfl: I go a long time between haircuts too. If I have to I trim my own bangs just so I can put it off longer.

Pumba-- How did your hubby's surgery go? Hope he has a speedy recovery.

hello...
I think we had a weekend...I am not sure...hahaha....Hubby was home a few hours after his surgery on Friday and was ..I think still is doing okey...its not bleeding right now...
We had a major weekend...first I get a message to go to the nursing home to see someone that is dying...she was our neighbor for many years at the other house...I wish now that I hadnt gone...very sad ...brought back memories of mama and my MIL and my sister trying so hard to breathe...broke my heart...

Then Megara kept us up all night Saturday night into Sunday morning and at five am she let lose and had the runs all over the carpet in the bedroom...She is so sick...She didnt eat or drink anything from Saturday evening till we went to the ER Sunday night at nine pm...she had some IV's and meds...and xray for her stomach to make sure it wasnt twisted...We naturally had to get her there in the pouring rain that is upon us still...Monsoon season I think...She had the runs this morning but not to much on the carpet...WHY OH WHY is this house going to be carpeted...at least the new carpet isnt here yet...she is sleeping now..

Our daughters Rotti Dazee...is at a clinic and had three major seizures yesterday...she was going to spend the night on a new med and if no seizures then able to come home today...fingers crossed for poor Crazy Dazee...

I guess that is all for now...pooped for us and hubby is probably snoozing upstairs at the kitchen table where I left him...

Yikes, Pubma, not a fun day at all!

Nothing much to report here. I went to All star today. Fixed up a couple of reports, got some soup at Music Food Court for lunch and left at 4:40 to try out traffic from here to home. It's 5-7 miles more for me. With no traffic, it took me an extra 12 minutes, which , when tacked onto 45, is still way too much!X

Marita...that is a long time to commute...Have you been to the food court at Movies...we always liked that one better...
We are staying this time at Pop Century...will be ready let me tell you that...we had monsoons the last day and a half...torrential downpours and flooding every where...but Maine was in danger zones of fires again...so it was needed..

Megara slept all night and so did WE....she slept most of yesterday too...the meds are helping and she hasnt had any "episodes" since yesterday morning at seven am...

Yesterday was Megaras 8th birthday...cant believe we have had her almost 8 years...time sure flies...we were thinking last night of not having another dog...we get so caught up in them and when they are sick (or dying like Jasmine)...we are so sad...but they give us so much joy (and cleaning)...dont know if we will do this again...
Also yesterday ...Mrs. B passed away ...I am glad that she is not suffering anymore...she had 14 kids and what a family...enjoyed them as neighbors for a long long time...
ALSO yesterday...Indy the Beta fish died ...he was 5ish...he was a good ol' fish ...I didnt have the heart to flush him the last few weeks so I let him die on his own terms.....he only had one fin ..he lost it a few months ago...poor Indy...he will be missed...;)

Hope you all have a great day...Rains have stopped and we didnt need the ark after all...

morning..

SUN IS FINALLY OUT....thank goodness...yesterday it was a mixture of clouds, sun, sprinkles and COLD WIND...

Megara is doing better...she is sleeping upstairs in her sunbeam...the meds seems to be working and she hasnt done the deed since Monday AM..Will be glad to see something NORMAL outside...

Kaitlynn's beau is coming to visit for a few hours while he waits for his interview in another town close by ...
Kt also is waiting for her finals...always a scary part..learning all the meds and what they do and dont do...even though the pharmacists now a days do computer checking...but they have to know quite a bit of stuff...she also did a presentation on a research that she did with two professors on Cancer...it was impressive even if I didnt understand ONE WORD...hahaha..
She also received a grad scholorship..which is great...not many go around ..
Have a good day and maybe I will be back to visit today..

STILL WAITING FOR THE PLACE TO SAY...we can do the floors and rugs...but noooooooooooooo

Pumba-- we had everything yesterday weather wise but snow. Did get hail though while the sun was shining. Glad the pup is feeling better.

Nicholas is having girlfriend troubles again. He broke up with her and she wheeled him back in. I told him to not look at her venting on FB and it will die down well he talked to her yesterday and now it seems they are going out again. The problem is he wants to talk to other girls , maybe even date them which I said was ok just as long as you break up with this one. Which he did...:headache: This one has them married off after high school for petesake. Not much I can do if he doesn't listen to my advice. :sad2:

Moo--Did you watch BL. Can't believe Mike let go. I did not want Jermey to be in the final three after that all he deserves it because everyone went home crap. Sure don't want Conda to win either.

Nabbie - Yeah, I wasn't too happy with how BL ended up either. I was rooting for Mike too! I am so tired of Conda and Jeremy's whining and statements about their entitlement.

Pumba - Congrats on your granddaughter's wonderful accomplishment!!! Glad to hear Megara is doing better. I had to give both of our dogs baths last night to get some cling ons off their rear ends. Yuck. I think our boy dog especially gets stressed when our daughter brings her dog and he tends to get the runs when he's stressed. At least we didn't have any accidents to clean up in the house this time!

Well, my car repair is finished and I will hopefully be getting it back this afternoon. Because we have our repair work done at my hubby's uncle's shop, they are going to drop it off for me. Not looking forward to getting the bill :( Plus I am still waiting for the bill for the previous repair.

Nab, the trial of tribulations of teen dating:eek: I remember when I was about 16 wanting to die when my then BF broke up with me (funny thing, I dont even remember that act, just that I was very depressed). How does one forget such a monumental occasion? :confused3

Moo, I hear you on the car repairs. My car has a warning light on for the last few weeks. I hate to get a new car with payments. I am soo cheap, LOL.

Pumba, good luck to your GD's beau, interviewing is so stressful!

I was feeling brave last night and sent hubby an email that I changed my mind and would join them for horseback riding in Yellowstone. He wrote back it was 2+ hours followed by 2+ hours of whitewater rafting, but he could arrange for me for a nice ride on a river or something. I declined, 2+ hours on a horse sounds like torture to me, so I will just spend the day at the hotel (hopefully with WIFI), but I will have "The Hunger Games" and "The Help" books lined up as well.

Marita-- Have been on a horse before? I have never and I can't swim so neither of those things interest me. Are you staying at a hotel with a spa...maybe that would be better.

Moo-- Did you get your car back? Hopefully with out to bad of a bill. What was wrong with it ?

Didn't sleep well last night because Hannah crawled in with us because she had a bad dream. We only have a queen bed and Hubby and I are not small people. Should have been smart and one of us should have crawled in hers. There was no way she was going back, sometimes we let her stay for a few minutes and send her back and she will go not this time.

Looks like rain again but the day is early...the last few days have been crazy. It did warm up yesterday in the afternoon though.

our daughter was a crawl in our bed kid....some nights we didnt know she did ...so the doctor said to put her back in her bed each time (now how can I do this if she is so quiet and good at this)...so finally put her back each night it happened....THEN we had a hard time finding her...she would end up on the floor next to our bed...or if it was cold she would be in the living room on the carpet...if it was hot she would be under the coffee table on the floor....I figured it would be better to know where she was then NOT...
We finally got her a full size bed and that was the end of her jumping in ours...she didnt like the twin ...
SUN IS OUT...yes...Waiting for the outdoor man to finish up the list of our check list...and get the trash out..

getting closer to Disney...I am ready today ...but will wait another week...

I got my car back yesterday in time to make it to PT. It was the timing belt that went out. I will just wait for them to bill me for this repair along with the previous one. I have some money set aside. Sure hope it is enough!!! If not, I will make payments.

Like Marita, I really don't want car payments right now, but I will probably need to get a new car before I retire in a few years. I will be eligible for full retirement at the end of July, but we have a lot of repairs we need to do on the house once it is paid off next year, so our money that we would normally put toward the mortgage will go toward new flooring, windows, etc. for a few years.

Marita - I think I would also pass on the horseback riding! Although I would like to try rafting some day.

nope to rafting but I may sit on a horse for a little while...but not LONG ..Marita..take your camera and go looking at stuff that Florida doesnt have...I could do that...BUTTTTTTTTTTTT>...those two books you have lined up are great...I think you will enjoy the HELP ...I couldnt put it down...

We decided that a new vehicle and payments was better then FIXING up the other truck...takes more money then its worth...Hope your car lasts longer now..

Good Evening.....

I know it is April but I want the warm weather back. Had my winter coat back on today. Did all my running around today so I don't have to on the weekend.

Even found time to make brownies. Nicholas has been bugging me to make some. It does make the house smell good.

He is off volunteering at the dance tonight. He has almost all his volunteer hours he needs to graduate... They have to have 40 hours by grade 12 , he will have 39.5 after tonight. I think they get a certificate if you have 40 by grade 10. I think you get something if you have 100 by grade 12 but not sure on that one.

Can't believe it is going to be May next week already. Where did this month go.

Pumba-- wish I was going to WDW in another week. Hope it is nice and warm for you.

I thought we would get blown off our little hill today....The wind was so unreal...Peoples waste cans were blowing down the street and I put our neighbors can and recycle bin into his alcove...then someone elses that lives way up the street wsa down by our yard...Oh Well...I am Freezing too...had the door open because they were fixing the trim and the sill...another OY OY OY..

we are waiting for them to leave so we can go and do our grocery (usually last nights duty)...shopping and also go to Walmart and get some travel size stuff...
I dont know what else is on my agenda...just simple stuff I think...

we had venison tonight for supper...Our son got his deer in November and it was DELICIOUS...I love it more then moose...HONEST...but the 300 or so lbs of that is still in the freezers....another OY OY OY

hope I can sleep a little tomorrow...I would love that...:goodvibes

Well, if anyone wants warm weather, come on down, upper 80's here, ughhh!

I put a stop to the horseback riding. Hubby said 2+ hours, that is way too long for me! So I will stay at the hotel (Best Western, but with free wifi) and read online or books or watch TV. We are spending (as of now) 5 days in Yellowstone  I predict that will change,,,,

I finally got some Walmart shopping done for new lounging shorts and pants. Dang, just remembered I forgot face cream! Hopefully sometime this weekend I will get a haircut and nails done. I am pathetic, I keep putting it off week after week!

Not much to report today. PT is still going OK. I'm getting cortisone in my other knee Monday and requesting a return to work slip for 5/7 :( Not really looking forward to going back to work, but I suppose I need to. I checked today and it sounds like I'll probably need to continue PT for at least a couple more weeks once I'm back to work.

What I really dislike about work is the drive. If it were 10 or 15 mins away, I wouldnt mind working another 5 years to 65, but 45 minutes each way is really grinding on me. and Now add on All Star a couple of days a weekm that adds another 10 minutes!! So almost an hour each way, YUCK!!!
