Moo-- I hear you on the injury part and Nicholas is prone to injuries. He never metions basketball but people are always asking him if he plays because of his height.

He told me this morning gym and football are taking a toll on his body. He is sore and tired today. But he is so excited when he comes home and tells us about it , that makes me happy. Plus to play football you have to keep you marks up too I believe so that it a bonus for me. Another bonus is doesn't argue about going to bed early either. :thumbsup2

We have a party to go to tomorrow. One of the boys on Nicholas baseball team is having a last hurrah kind of thing for the team. Have to go out and get stuff for a veggie tray I told them I would bring. Everything else was taken, I just wanted to bring chips and salsa because I already had them here. Would have been cheaper too.

Nabbie - Please keep us posted on Nicholas's football stuff. I know that keeping the grades up was challenging at times for my nephew.

Have you gotten any further on travel plans for the cruise or deciding whether you're going to be at WDW before or after? You can PM me if you prefer.

As of now, my friend and I will be there two nights before and one night after the cruise. We're about six weeks out from our payoff date :scared1: From what I've been reading on the DCL board, I'm not all that interested in a Nassau excursion because they seem to be pretty expensive, but I'm pretty sure I want to get a Rainforest pass for the spa. Also, we're planning to book Palo for dinner one evening, but not Remy.

I've been reading about all these people who book the cabanas on Castaway Cay. Yikes, they sure are pricey!!!

I am exhuasted...but missed his part of my day..
we got internet, phone and cable back today.......over a week with nothing
we watched a few dvds...and it is so quiet out here....just birds and crickets..will be backin full force...
missed you all...

OK, I have to do one here, no other place is deserving!

Of course I still say the DIs added at least 5,000 to my actual count.

So, this is it, 10,000!

Marita we would miss you if you didn't come here my friend even if you feel like you have nothing to say ....that is me some days. I do not have an exciting life. You get to do so many cool things at work and you have a great sense of humour! You make me laugh.

Congrats on your HUGE post count Marita! That is a whole lotta DIS posts.

WOW Marita...fantastic ...I think.
Today is another day...
Called the tree service and they are waiting for the grounds to be drier.......come on ......the stupid tree is laying over the diving board and is on the water top of the pool...I will be glad when they come.....it is not something I want to look at all the time..

WOW Marita...fantastic ...I think.

Pumba, I agree, not such a great thing, I have no life!:sad2:

I was thinking though I might have gotten some posts from playing games, which I don't think is much better, LOL.

Hope your tree gets moved soon, im sure the swimming season is coming to an end soon up there.

Still bored to tears...

Pumba- That can't be good for the diving board either if the tree is heavy. Hope you get some dry weather soon.

Marita-- boring around here too, even though I am doing a lot of running around for the kids.

Today is the first mass at the school , so I am heading over there this morning. Really would like to go back to bed.

I am staying up to late at night reading and getting up way to early now. Funny part is I don't have to go anywhere and am up trying to get everyone else moving and not go back to sleep. Lunches and breakfast made and send them out the door.

oh Marita...it means I love to read your stuff.......you and the others are BASICALLY the only posts I search out on the CB...
I have alot too.
I got the top posts when I had to post a chat post to tell people to COME TO MY CHAT...almost three or so nights a week.......I did anything Disney and then Disney FOOD.......good lordy I love that one..

so posted one post and then I would bump it up so others could read it..

After hubby gets back from work, we take The doggie to the vet to get her nails done......they are way to long....and she clicks and clacks as she walks on that dang laminate floors....click clack.

Have to do some more change of address stuff and I will see ya later gators..

Nabbie - Had a bit of a curve ball today. My friend who I booked the cruise with is concerned that she may not be feeling up to our trip since she might need radiation and chemo :( We still have a few weeks to decide and I'm hoping that she has a chance to see how she feels before our final payment is due. She suggested that maybe Don could go with me instead, but he absolutely will not cruise.

So . . . I may need to see if I can find someone else who can share a room with me, figure out if I can afford to go solo (:scared1:), or (WAAHHH!) I might need to cancel :sad1: I'll keep you posted.

Marita (or others!) - Any chance you might want to cruise with me if my friend has to bail??!

Pumba - Hope you get your tree problem solved in short order :goodvibes

Moo, I might be interested... I'd have to chat with hubby though, since we'll be paying for DD's grad school then.

Send me the details please?

Also, maybe Cel might want to go since she just had to cancel her cruise?

Still absolutely nothing to report here, yawn!!!

Marita.....first I read her trip report and then her Irene report......My heart breaks for them all......they are some of the lucky ones I guess.......they got their family and their furbaby's out.......that is all that matters...they are safe..

Made me feel guilty for a stinking tree laying over my pool...and I complained about it.....shame on me...
thanks for posting the link

Scary stuff indeed, I hope they make out ok in the end.

Well, here is my one lame story for today. This week is National Housekeepers week, so all week they do treats for the team like ice cream, cookies, drawing for prizes, competitions for bedmaking, etc, and today was the big day with a lunch. Burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad, corn and water melon, plus the prize drawings and a special pin. This all over Disney and presumably nationwide.

Anyway, so Khaki and I and our boss volunteered to serve lunch. I did the corn, Khaki did potato salad, and the boss did baked beans and some others did other stuff, and the Housekeeping managers mingled. It was kind of fun, plus we got fed at the end. I must say, those burger buns really do suck!

honest...i am trying to keep up, but this has been a very
busy year.

speaking of keeping up...does utahm. or wheat t. ever drop by ?

twice this week, i had 2 more experiences @ work that really
showed how important we are to those we're taking care of.

...it also show some of the new staff are lacking. they even admitted
they are confused. well when you have a drug seeker attempting
to "kill" just to get drugs, should be a clue. a single pt. grabbed him
& told him he won't be doing that. [ i could not get around the
desk in time.]

now i had to call my dr. office because wallgreens would not refilled
my tramdol rx. a few days early. see? they don't know or either
don't care about the major differences regarding rx. abusers.
@ work they throw the tramdol @ us, demanding the real nacrotics.
these people are dangerous but are easy to id because they
have lost most of their human being. we shouldn't be the only
ones that can tell the difference?
* we going on the members cruise & wdw so i need to do it
early.

did you see about that one pharmacist who shot one of the drug
robbers? again wallgreens making a life/death error. these rx. drug
abusers have lost their human being. they are not trying to get
away & will not stop until they can get their nacrotics. they
will think of nothing wrong killing any person trying to stop them.

while there are differences in the "levels" of addiction, they
follow specific behavioral patterns that anyone can see a mile
away.

the other reminder came as neat surprise. she was here before, and
she has ongoing mental issues. just like you see on these boards,
some so called normal people have no ethics in putting them down.
because of that, we go out our way to demonstrate respect
for their well being. i must have really hit home last time,
because this admisison, she came up to me and was asking
how i was doing? that made my day!

fyi...our goal is actual not to establish any type of connections , to be
as nuteral , so they do not become dependant on us or used our value
sytems for their own. we want them to chose their own goals &
lifestyles that they can reach on their own potential. we just trying
to help them recover where they sorta lost tracks. ( yes, i am
making a broad reference.) but because the staff are human too,
it is nice they want us to know how important they feel about us.

ever see the rn on one who's flew? everyone makes fun of her. in
reality, she was an outstanding. except one area. she wanted
her pts. to live life the ways she felt instead of recognizing they
had different value systems.

many think those with mental issues or problems or diseases are
less than smart. in reality, it is the opposite. because i knew this long
before working psych.., i cannot begin to tell some of the wonderful
things my patients have taught me. all i had to do was listened.

our goal is to support their recovery, not to take over their lives.

some good health advice. * take care of oyur mouth will protect
your heart & prevent heart problems. wash your hands as often
as you need to & then some. fight depression. take time every
day to enjoy soemthing that yuo know will make you feel
happy, even eating a favorite candy bar or hugging someone.
last year, i told you about what maturity gives one. since that
time i ahve shared it with many, and not one disagreed. must be
something to it...remembering all the good things one has been bless with.

i know most think a person does not brings anything into the next world.
but man has been wrong before. just saying, i think every person does, it
just isn't something so evident. also it tied to something we share
while on earth, and we leave behind. my clue came from all the names
listed before going into the different chapters. of course, i don't think
no body lives a long life- 100 years, isn't that long comparing to
other dynamics. still there is something very special to be gain by
the enrichment process that has been provided. and if one
ponders the reasons for our actions , with the outcomes...then the
meaning for life is reveling.

accident or great knowledge? the three forms we know to exist-
gas, liquids & solids were also required for life to be. no more,
& no less...sorta a bit telling of a superior being.

have you seen the previews for the new horror film /virus. i could be
wrong but based on human anatomy, the types that poses the most
threat to life will be the water borne carriers.
