It sure is hot here in Florida! Waiting for my coworker to arrive.

Cooling down here again tonight. We just got back from a baseball game. Good sleeping weather with the windows open tonght.

Wonder what weather Marita got this week?

Warming up here. It is nice to see the sun too.

I have been running around this morning trying to locate Nicholas Grad pictures. The school told me to call the Image place and they said they didn't even get an order from us. I know I send in a cheque on time for them.

The image place said I can re order on the phone , okay but I need to see the proofs since there was 4 to choice from. They say sorry can't show them to you , you have to go to the school and get a student number and go on line. School says I shouldn't give them that number because of privacy issues. They gave me a letter code instead for the school.

They are going to check Nicholas desk and the teachers desk to see if the order is there. Then at least I can see the proofs , rip up the check and pay on line with the proof number. This was sent back to the school in April. The teacher thinks it could very well be on his desk.

One more week of school for Nicholas.....he also hurt his ankle some how doing a dance this morning. :sad2: Year can't end soon enough for me.

:yay: , moo girl.....yes i can see why. however, the things i learned
{ by gluing all the posts/& reports together}, painted an accurate
picture of "what we have & how to used it..without being taken
advantage of.

i was so happy to see you guys still keeping in touch~ hope for the world.

have you see the reports from the fla. mom's trial? they are using
"reality orientation" to prove the state case. she is in a sad, sad mess.

wonder if alaska will be cold?

* now back to the osu coach. i read /hear that only die-hard
fans are supporting him?! of course, that's expected because
they are anticipating /expecting those reactions & "in case"
of legal actions. so isn't that an easy "defensive" on their part?
let's projects & make up our own story so we can keep it
going.

i am no die hard fan but this type of manipulation i am very familiar
with. and i know the feeling of being wronged by those with
authority that thinks nothing of using it for their personal benefits.

i am shocked how much the writers made up without so little proof.
[ they took a few facts & built a story to destroy a person. ] some
of the proof is how far they went to explain things by citing opinions
& then adding people names . then they went all the way back to
younstown.....to validate /builds their wrongful intent, as if they
had written official guide exposing a corrupt preacher. [ but as
one might be wise to recall..those that live by the sword , will
perish by it.]

yes, i think what has been done to the person is sinful. under
giving "false witness". { we see this all the time, people using
a fact or a few facts, then running away from reality.]

the nca ought to be ashamed of their "ethics". and the conduct
tolerated as long as "it" doesn't have to do with $. just liked
the sports writers & everyone else using the few facts to make
money off of.

did you read sports ill.? really? they just had that story ready when he
resigned? they thought nothing about comparing his personal ethics
with all those players/boosters/university officials - so forth ,& so forth.

since they are so eager to evulated him as a person , let's them be
honest & placed theirs in the same article? !

oh, they're pretty good @ throwing stones...let see if they can catch
them?!

how much you wanta bet sports il. had that made up story [ yes, it
contains a few facts ] sitting & waiting for his resignation. if they had any
guts- why didn't they published it while he was still coach? why in~deeds?!

"timing" can also be very revealing...especially how far they went back
to find & reworked every little mistake he ever admitted to. what merits
do these people bring to the table? at least he had the guts & decency
to admitted when he made mistakes..and that pattern over the years
reveal a person who practices what he preaches. i can see why they
didn't like him since they make their living by taking advantage of
these kids, year after year!

after going back to 1985- 17 years before osu, i am surprise they didn't
cite his grade school "friends?!

also the "timing" of the article can proved they already knew his past
for years & yet, decided right after he resigned to put forward?
hymmmm- what does that tells us the type of people going after
this person?

maybe because he could have defended himself with a slam dunk
slander law suit? and now look @ all the $ they are making off
this? i like to remind them, he is a human being & not an object.

worst of all, that fired me up [ not as fan but as a person], was how they
threw "in there"- that he made sure the raffle was designed to reward
the top recruits and "steal" from the poor kids.?!!!! these people are
disgusting and should be "recognized" the same way they do to others.

they may be throwing dirt, but the mud is covering them , from head to
toes. let's se them defend how they cheat players , like the texas
game...the list is long and full of hipocrisy.

ps when they started spewing out their crazy explanations that
had little logic....& going way , way back - the indicator is quite clear
of wrong doing. what the nca & sports ill. really "need" is a good
psych. professional to "redirect" them back to reality. this is really
sick! and sad @ the same time because they have an authority and
not a clue how to used it. [ for the benefit of all the players,
families, the colleges, and their supporters.] but they will never
seek professional assistance because they would have to look
in the same window & "see" their reality for what it really is.

think how many kids these big org.. are hurting. as paul harvey used
to observed.."the rest of story."

moo? who should seen the fun i had with some of the msu students
& football players...this past christmas....it seem liked every time we
go- they're there. oh, my neighbor, born, raised in ohio ..is still a
michig. fan....told him his meds are not working,

now you know how a professional health care provider thinks about
of this sports junk. :scared1:

wow, maybe i should look into advisor position since i can retire now?
sure hate to become lazy & bored, as it is evident they need some help.
[ was anyone as shocked...how far they went , against one person?
they followed no rules...really, 1985. wonder how many were even born?
:rolleyes1,

back to packing, :thumbsup2

Lil'g -- You totally lose me on sports talk....have no idea who you were talking aout. Not sure how cold it would be in Alaska. My guess would be yes!

Moo-- how is your mini work vacation going? Still hot? It is getting hotter here too.

Need to get out and get a few Father's Day cards, we have a postal strike going on here to so not sure when it would get there.

This month is flying by so fast, Grad is next week already for Nicholas. I am not ready.

The school found Nicholas's grad proofs! Now I don't have to cancel a cheque and find a way to see the proofs again to re order.

The lady at the picture place was really nice. Started out that I would have to pay $20. shipping fee by UPS or $10 by Canada Post ( they are are on strike now too) I told her I was going to go ask the school if they would pay the shipping since it was not my fault. The lady then said it would take 6-8 weeks to process the order. So I told her then I don't want them sent to the school. She went to talk to someone and said they would charge me only $10 for UPS or nothing by mail. So I told her that I really didn't want to pay shipping at all and I guess I could wait out the mail and the strike. She asked when he was graduating and I told her next Thursday. Next thing she told me was she would meet me half way and charge me $5. for shipping and rush them to me by his graduation. :woohoo: I am getting my pictures!!

Now I need to run out and get Father's Day card for FIL , 18th birthday and Grad for Niece ( Godchild) , card/gift for Nicholas grad . I am going to be broke this month.

sorry nabby, football is sorta like hockey in canada. but the
topic isn't about "sports", except those using it as a format to
singled out & harm others.

...fyi, sports ill. did the so called investigation, & as soon as the coach
resigned, they attacked him & the program. the ways they did it
was very intrusive and they published their rationalization- by "building"
their case ...by validating their intentions/rationalizations on a few
opinions & "resourcing " their facts on incidents that were not
related to current events. [ we see this same type of behaviors
from drug seekers trying to manipulate their "wants" instead
of their "needs". some are trying to get them so they can re-sale them.
some times it is very over the top, like demanding morphine
for a "scratch" , that they are saying is a pain level of "10". but five
minutes earlier, they were laughing or doing push ups..so forth.

and while most are not fans outside, in the real world, many "think"
these people in authority positions [ mag. writers/college officials]
are experts.

the reason this whole thing has my "attentions" has to do when i ran
my local derby race. in the beginning, i was the "whole" committee
& my task was give our community a children program that had
objectives to provided them the benefits & their families,
just by participating.

in the end, it was my success that spell doom. ( i ran it for 10 years.]

some of the things i did, every year the kids got to be on the radio
& saw how it operated. they got to participated in an official all-
american soap box derby. i design all the jersey's & caps, all
the awards , and the trophies. we had local support from major
businesses & the local paper did several stories per year.

all the trophies -from first to the end, were the same & really :cool2:,
based on what the kids told me. why? becasue the purpose wasn't
to make one child/family feel more important than another, but
to give the parents a good reason to be proud of their child. the fact is,
even if you didn't win a single "heat", you were special because you was
a part of an all-american race. [ since 1933-less than 50,000 kids have
been able to ] when we raced our boys , we didn't win in the beginning
so we when did, it was a big deal to celebrate , or have family time.we
also practiced as a family. we made tons of friends. & we made great
family memories.

when i turned over the program, some of the officials were in it
for themselves and did not recognized the big picture. they cut the costs
and made it into "us" vs. them. the other families pulled out. and that
was that.

while we were just small community event, the "value system" extend
to all organize sporting events. to see wrong doing, will harm those
that are or will be participating. i really don't see the main values
in sports being the total of points.

anytime i see some body "building an argument" on doing a history
of unrelated "facts", [ instead of letting the facts
of the case proving their "points"] , is a red flag. but the one
point that really got my attention was when they claimed "what a
hipo-c. ", taking advantage of children & their grass-cutting
money, by rewarding the ones he was interested in recruiting.
it be liked me , using all the enterance fees & just recognizing
those i liked, not the whole group. especially all he had to do was
to buy & give all the kids rewards for participating. what they
claimed makes no sense. but unless the readers "think" about it,
they will missed the "real" reality.

oh, talked about double talk , they defend themselves from anyone
questioning them , citing that only die hard fans will not "recognized"
their truths. well, that works both ways.....how about all the rest
[ all the other colleges fans ] that root againt osu? the fact that
they presented this , is another big red flag ....that they know they
are doing wrong doing.

see? it isn't about football or any type of sports directly. instead
it's about how some want to control instead of influence the
college scene. why? because, human dynamics 101, the best way
to influence others is not a negative approach, but positive.

this also hurts those supporting the age old-game between
mich. & osu esp. the mich. fans....they removed the key person
so they will never get another chance of defeating- osu @ their
best. you don't think, that my neighbor haven't been waiting
when his team up north beat the coach, that have won the last
7 games? sadly this is a story that will never have an ending.
it just liked when they forced bobby b. from fla. state, it will
take years to rebuild what was lost.

so sorry nabby, as i know sports can be so boring. however, that
isn't the message i was trying to express. what i have learn through
my career that the value of any human activity- even going to
disney, the most one can get out of it depends on "doing" it
right.

reality- so many times, we are required to help those with functioning
deficits , based on their ways of thinking. so i needed to defined
"it" in terms that they could "see" the best ways to help themselves.
reality is true, no matter the past, future or current definition.
it is always suspicious when someone try to win their argument
by saying they are "right" because the other person is "bad".
in that article they made that a point by first citing all the good things
he was , to "set" up just how 'bad" he is. and they could have
done it before he resigned but they knew they would be sued so they
waited when he couldn't defend himself. very one sided. why? this
is how they sales their opinions for $$$. sad. very sad.

lucky for sports mag., i don't own a mag, or there would be a new
story.

by the way nabby, we going to canada, & the disney cruise .
how the kids? getting bigger? our lil'girl is almost as tall as her
daddy., :sad1:

Lil'g -- I am meeting up with Moo in Jan on the Disney Dream. So it will be new for both of us since this ship is different from the Magic. Glad you get to come to Canada.

Not proud of our Canadian's out west right now with riots they had last night after the hockey game when Boston won. :sad2:

Nabbie - Having a great time here this evening. My coworker and I sat out on the beach for a couple hours before dinner (too hot at the pool). We had dinner with a conference attendee from Minnesota who we have been hanging out with, then walked out on the pier. I posted some photos over yonder. Pretty hot, but there was a good breeze off the water. WDW tomorrow!!!

Moo-- Saw your pictures. Looks like a really nice beach. So that means you are at WDW right now. Are you using a scooter this time? Have fun.

I need to run out again today and pick up things for Nicholas Grad.

Hannah has a field trip today and is complaining her t-shirts are too short ,they are going to a Gymnastic place.

Looks like rain right now too....and I think it will because I feel a headache comng my way.

morning friends..

I am sitting here ...it is muggy again today but HECK I will take it over five days of rain and 40's and 50's temps...

Tomorrow night is the moose lottery.....I am anxious and would love to have another chance at getting a moose for the freezers......cause one person (it is to much) so we share between three or four familys.....I love meat......and remember all.......deer and moose are vegetarians.......hahaha....but I am not..

Ava is watching her program and this gives me a few to myself answering emails and looking at the Moovers........

Hope that Marita is having a good time and....CONGRATS to NABS son.

Moo-- Are you going to be there for the weekend or just a day? It is getting humid here again but I bet it is hotter there.

Pumba-- is this lottery to hunt next fall or something else?

Well I think I got all the gifts, and cards for the upcoming events. That was exhausting when you don't know what your looking for.....

But I am in for the afternoon now, might need to have a nap. Still have this headache nagging at me.

Seriously, NO posts? ! I'm back at Epcot today to ride Soarin'. Having "lunch" at La Cava de Tequila ; )

Moo......hope you are having a great time.......I love OFF KILTER and have one of their CD's so I can listen to their music once in a while..

GUESS WHAT MOOVERS.

WE HAVE A HOUSE.......we put an offer in a week ago Saturday and then our realtor found out that the listing person didnt send out the correct papers...so our realtor got on her phone and for two days did all that needed to be done with the government (because the previous owners were deployed out of the local base)...the government takes over and sells the house.....SO they accepted our offer. We found out Friday morning.....yesterday we had fathers day here for hubby and we are just thrilled...we should close this week or next week...all the paper work is almost done for the title search or title insurance if that is what it is called....and then all we do is sign and its ours......then we can go in and paint what needs to be painted and clean the rugs and the floors...it has an in ground pool but we will be to busy this next few months to do any swimming or tending to it.....so we will wait until next summer to do it...
it is a big house for an old couple like us (:rotfl:), but we are ready to have a HOUSE...
thanks for putting up with my ups and downs the last few months....it is very stressful waiting for the perfect one......even if we have to do some work.......next spring we will put on vinyl siding and will be happy little homeowners..

ALMOST FORGOT.

Grand daughter Kt got a moose permit..........she is in Salt Lake city with 30 other pharmacy students taking a week class ...two professors too are there..

Pumba, congrats on your new house, how exciting! It sure has been a long time looking. Tell us all about it!!!

We got back last night about 12:30 AM. Had a wonderful vacation with the kids. Tons of pictures of mountains, LOL, but I have yet to sort through them. Great Falls is a lovely little town, small town America. I wouldnt mind living there if it weren't for the brutal winters 9 months of the year. :sad2: DS has a nice house, built in the 60's, but on a hill overlooking the town below and mountains in the distance, very nice view sitting on the sofa looking out of the big window.

Remember that we were having the second bathroom done while we were gone, so it would all be finished when we got home? Well, HAH! The bathtub and vanity are in, the tiling and floor are done, but not grouted, but most importantly, NO TOILET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! This means I have to go to the master bath trough hubby's bedroom who is asleep very early while I am a nigtowl. I told hubby i dont care what the guy does tomorrow as long as the toilet is installed. Oh, and hubby got a whirlpool tub! I said why??? He said he tought I would enjoy it. I havent taken a bathtub bath in over 20 years!!!!! UGHHHH! I said DD would enjoy it, but he said he didnt think she would move back home...

Anyway, we had a great trip. Went to see where DS hangs out when he has to go on alert underground with the missiles. Amazing, a capsule within a capsule so that if a big tremor (or bomb) hits, it just reverberates in the capsule. Elevator going underground with doors that lower from above, then you have to traverse a little bridge to go to the suspended capsule. The bases themselves are pretty small, maybe 8 or 10 people at a time, including 2 cooks, some security people and some facility management people. The soldiers have to pay for their foold, but its very cheap. Basically an extensive fast food menu, but calories and fat content are posted everywhere.

We also went to see the Great falls of Great falls, impressive waterfall that Lewis and Clark discovered, and another one that involved some very scary roads going downhill and uphill with steep curves.

Then we went to Glacier nat'l park for 2 days. The road we were planning to take from our hotel to the horseback ride and boat ride was closed still, so we ended up driving an extra 200 miles or so. DS just picked up his brand new car on Saturday morning with 9 miles on it, and by the end of the trip it was almost 1000 miles and very dirty. He was not a happy camper about that. Anyway, out hotel room was beautiful, 2 queens, a sofa, an electric fireplace, a wet bar, a jacuzzi tub (that DD ran to after dinner the first night) and best of all a balcony overlooking several ice covered mountains and a raging white water river between rocks below. Awesome!
Hubby and the kids went for 2 hikes, i only made it on one part of the way and opted to go back to the car and listen to XM radio (Dr. Laura and the trial) and do logic puzzles and read lol.
Anyway, it was a great trip, but good to be home again. Much work ahead with budgets, but I'm looking forward to that too.

MOO, glad you are having a good trip. Good Lord, was it hot last night when we got home (at midnight even) We had 45-50 degrees in the mountains, but 60's in Great Falls. Not looking forward to all this hot humid weather here.

Nab, glad you got all your chores done, hope you get to relax

OHHH, one last thing. DS's new car came with a built-in GPS, so I got his old one, nick-named Heidi. I'm excited. I won't need it much, but when I do, it will come in handy (such as the time recently when I missed the turn to the dentist and drove aimlessly through suburbs totally lost or the time I couldnt find the bowling alley for the company bowl). I have to go check out Heidi now, :)

welcome home Marita.......glad that you had a good time...its funny about Heidi...Our GPS is Clint.......as in Clint Eastwood......he keeps saying you have reached your destination punk....hahaha..

okey the house is a split ranch.....upstairs are three bedrooms...bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub...two sinks.(YES)...plenty of closet space and a pantry for food in the kitchen with bar into the dining room...that has a half wall into the living room with a fireplace..off the dining room are sliding glass doors to the upstairs deck.....then down stairs is the family room and the master bedroom.....a wet room for coming in from the pool area.......another bathroom with a walkin shower......then a washingroom area for clothes and then the room with the furnace in it........there is another outside deck near the pool and plenty of space around it for Megara.......the outside of the house needs paint but we are going to opt for a vinyl siding next spring.......other then that we are in good shape.......EXCITED......I didnt sleep last week cause it took five days to get the okey we got the house and they accepted our bid.....our realtor called and said..get your butt up to the credit union and get the bank check for the earnest money cause the government doesnt take personal checks.......YES YES YES.....I am wicked excited..
phewwwww.....guess I will go and eat supper now..

again welcome home

Pumba, sounds fabulous, can't wait to see some pics. When do you think you will move?

Welcome home Marita!

Sounds like you had a great time. At first I thought your son gave you his old car. The GPS has been a life saver for us when we are traveling. It has been wrong a few times but we watch for signs too.

Pumba-- Congrats on the new house. And your Granddaughters future Moose.

Moo-- Saw your pick with Winnie the Pooh, very cute.

I was away all weekend delivering my nephew our table and chairs and visiting my mom. Then we had baseball tonight. It was there best game they had so far.

Now I am trying to get caught up on :laundy:
