Peej: Very nice to see you over here once again.

You want to know why I am grumpy? The real reason?

This is very babyish and embarrassing, but I can't help it.

DH is going to Orlando next week for meetings. I found airfare R/T 140.00. He said NO! Besides the hotel was 12 miles away from WDW and we didn't have the money for me to go and he would be busy in meetings all day.

I was pissed one because it was a apportunity for me to get a small break, we could spend our evenings together, I could relax and do nothing (or maybe visit 1 or 2 parks during the day). It was a less expensive alternative of getting to Orlando for us, just us. He flat out said no.

Last night he brought his laptop over to me and said look at this. It was a map of his hotel, RIGHT ON WDW PROPERTY. One of the non owned by disney but still on sight ones.

So I will be all pouty and sulking for the next few days. But trying to hide it because he points out how my mood effects everyone.

Mony, That would really tick me off too. Not sure I could let that one go, especially with that low airfare! I won't try to tell you to find the bright side, since I'm not sure I could if it were me. So just this: :hug:

School was canceled again today while the town digs itself out. Our total snowfall was 24.5 inches. Urgh. DH got home from work at 7ish last night, ate his supper and went right out to use the snowblower. He was out there until 10:45! The snow was so wet and heavy that I never could have shoveled it, so he had to do it all with the snowblower. He had to clear out our 2 cars, plus my mom's, and the walkway to the front door/mailbox, plus the side door, as well as a path for both the propane tank and the oil tank, which are on opposite sides of the house. :sad2: Thank heavens for the snowblower!

Pumba, YAY for your weight loss! Even better is the effect that your healthy eating will have on your blood sugar! My mom has diabetes too, but she doesn't follow her doctor's advice well at all. She has already had one heart attack (more than 10 years ago), so I really wish she'd make more of an effort to take care of herself!

Off to do some of this--->:laundy:

Enjoy your day, friends!

Pumba-- :yay: for the 3 pounds lost and throwing the fudge away. My hubby would say just give it to him to eat. He could lose a few too.

Mony-- I thought you were upset about the loveseat. I would be that is for sure but the other thing beats that. What is his reason for you not going since you found a cheap flight.:confused3

Lynette-- heavy wet snow is hard on a snowblower too, it cloggs up. I can see why it took so long. We have been lucky in the snow department the last few years. Sometimes with the really cold weather we been having snow would be good, it has to be warmer then what we been having to snow.

P.J-- What a nice present! Hope to see you more around here. And Happy Belated Birthday!

Moo-- did you watch Biggest Loser the other night. I am really liking this season so far. There is really no evil team yet. Feel bad for the black member who's son left because of his weight then his wife blames him for that.

Marita-- do you have it heating up for me yet? Less the two weeks now.

I have been trying to get our clothes together. Bought Nicholas new casual pants at Costco last night only to find out he went up a size, and the polo type shirts just fit so back I have to go. Trying to pack as light as I can but man it is hard with good clothes, casual clothes and everyday clothes and don't get me started on the shoes.

I was really thinking I was being a baby over this, come on I'm a grown woman right? But I can't get this thing out of my head. They used to go to Houston to meetings once a year. A resort type thing. Real nice. I remember him telling some guys would bring their wives and they would just hang out.

I was able to get some venting time with my BFF. She suggested Taco Bell and a Casino tomorrow night.

I guess it would have been cheaper to take me to FL.

I have a bunch of theroies in my head, but I am not ready to bring them to the surface. I don't know. He is a selfish person by nature and most of our years has taken me and the kids for granted. I try so hard to over look that. You would think with his second chance at life he would change or want to change at least. I bust my butt for this family. I am hurt, but I heal.

He knows it. I know he knows it.

Thanks for the shoulder. I'm done.

Mony - I don't blame you, I would be hurt too. Like NAB said, why did he say no, or did he just shoot it down with no explanation?

Lynt - Poor guy! Yes, thank goodness he didn't have to use my redneck snow shovel! ;) :rotfl2:

Peej
- You moved?? Your Christmas card from the Allie family may be stuck in a big pile of snow somewhere in between me and you! You could get a new username, but we will still use the old one ya' know.

WE ARE OUT AGAIN TOMORROW!!! Ok, I apologize for wishing for lots of snow. :headache:

They always say watch what you wish for Allie. :lmao:

It is so cold here , they say this is not normal for this time of year either.

I hate clothes shopping. Nothing is fitting anyone. I bring home clothes they don't fit. Or try on something at the store and think that looks pretty good until I get it home in my own mirrors and lights and say what was I thinking. :sad2:

I went downstairs today and weighed myself and I have lost 3 lbs official now...I have a scale that is upright and then I balance the thingie.....it was in tune with the doctors office a week ago Tuesday.......so I hope that I keep it up.......of course last night I was sooooo hungry.......I could of eaten some peanut butter fudge ......BUTTTTTTTTTTT I put it in the trash;....I promise not to make some for a few months....maybe after we get back from the House of the Mouse..
You put fudge in the trash?! I feel confused!!!!! Good job on the weight loss though. :)

I'd be bummed too. Hopefully you and the kids can do something fun while he's gone so it's not such a downer. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks!!!! I'm so jealous of your cruise!! Are you doing WDW before/after, or just cruising? Either way, sounds GREAT!

I moved in the beginning of August. Oops!! Oh well, it's all good!

It was just me and 28 of my best friends today...I'm out an assistant again. The highlights of the day included: a child singing Feliz Navidad at top volume in the middle of the floor and refusing to stop and another child walking around the room squirting hand sanitizer in kids eyes. Good times! I was supposed to go to the store and the gym tonight, but here I sit! I did laundry, that counts for something, right? ;)

Teen Mom, anyone? This show is frightening me.

.

No WDW this time. We are doing Universal for two days prior. Nicholas is a huge Harry Potter fan. I hear it is crazy busy there though.

I'm sure you can make it manageable. My sister went a couple months ago, and she LOVED it. She's a huge Harry Potter fan. I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies. Not so much my thing. I bet Nicholas will be in heaven!

I thought I was the last person on earth who hadn't seen any of the movies or read any of the books. Boris just finished the last one a few months ago, and he's been following me around the house with the first book ever since, insisting that I have to read the series. Not really my cup of tea.

However, I have read 2 of the 3 Kingdom Keepers books, which I
REALLY liked! The kids and I read them right before we went to WDW last summer. There's another one scheduled to be released in April.

Anywayyyyyyy, I am off to watch Grey's Anatomy. TTFN!

I can see me reading them if I was reading to the kids, but I think they're too much for the age I teach. I can't see me just picking up a Harry Potter book, though. So many people swear by them! I meant to buy a Kingdom Keeper's book. We're always in the market for a great chapter book. Could a 1st/2nd grader follow them?

They are just a bit beyond 1st/2nd graders. Some of the descriptions in the storylines are just complex enough to be over their heads. They're actually meant for ages 12+, I think. But I really enjoyed them. :rotfl:

Mony - I'm sure that I would be feeling exactly the same way if my hubby pulled that on me :grouphug: The only thing that came to my mind was that he might have been concerned about you missing school???

Nabbie - I am also liking this season of BL so far :goodvibes I especially like Courtney on the aqua team (aqua is so much better than white as a shirt color this time around!). But I'm feeling kind of bummed about not being able to chat about it with my friend since she was the one who talked me into watching it last year. I felt bad for the guy on the black team as well.

Lynette - I had trouble getting into the Kingdom Keeper book - have only read the first one. I enjoyed listening to the HP books on CD much more than reading them . . .

Sorry to everyone who has been inundated with snow. I had a slow drive home from work tonight, but at least they were out salting the freeway!!!

Mony, wow, that sucks. PM me next time something like this comes up.

Pumba, I found the 3 pounds you lost, please take them back! TYWM! And probably a few other people's too.

NAB, even you're not a Potter fan, the park section looks really cool and I never any of the books either. I've never been to any Universal park, EVAH! But I'd like to go see that sometime, like when the crowds are really low, in say like January 2015?

PJ, sounds like fun was had at your place today. Getting :laundy: done is an accomplishment! I hate it...

My day today included a repeat of yesterdays tour, this time with the analyst from Allstar, showing him around on yet another COLD morning. This was followed by lunch at the Food Court, where I bought yet another (fattening) Shrimp Fettucini Alfredo. BUT, that was not the end of my fattening diet, oh no!!
The manager of food and beverage for Port, OKW and Saratoga is leaving the company, and he is very popular. So they had this going away party for him. The GM's (both women) dressed up as Princesses from Universal (i.e. trashy), as did their assistants and 2 other women, because the manager was a huge princess fan, and the Disney princesses were not available. Anyway, lots of fun. However, this gathering also involved lots of food!!! After I was already stuffed from the fettucini, I consumed more food! I will blow up and need a new wardrobe and complain like NAB that nothing fits anymore! I'm already getting there.... At least I was too full to eat dinner tonight.

Other than that, thank God tomorrow is Friday!

I posted a long reply this morning complete with quotes, bold names and smilies. It seems to have POOFEd. What the hay?

Maybe it is me. All rusty on my posting skillz. :confused3

Everyone- thanks for being interested in my update even though I have been MIA for so long.

Pumba- I thought about joshing you all with fake baby news. But. I am too angelic. Pretty sure the Princess is the LAST BABY. For realz. I have mixed feelings about that.

Lynt- I hope your unemployment stuff gets straightened out. Crazybossman. Nuff said.

Peej- I think about you all the time. Mainly while I am singing Single Ladies. Or watching my twins do the various and sundry projects (bug collection, the planets, the ME poster, the manatee poster)..... they certainly take a more is more approach to visual presentation.

Mony- is there still time to go? if the airfare is still available I would book it. Even if you can't go to the parks and if your husband is too busy with work stuff to do anything, you could lounge by the pool, read books, enjoy some alone time. I would love a day to myself!!! I bet you would too. Back in the day when I had a career, I went to a conferance in Salt Lake City. My dh came and was the "wife"... I went to meetings. He toured the city. He had the best time. I hope to someday get the chance to do the same.

you all know I am OLD....well one day I didnt have any reading material and my granddaughter (21 years old) said.....Gramma....read this and it was the first Harry Potter....I thought geesh....not my bag......but I was in a reading frenzy (right now out of it) and I had to read something....so I read it....and geesh I liked it...then book two and on and on and then she didnt have the last two of those and I had to get them from my neighbor........Yup I read them all....

Then there were these other books......twilight series....I thought good lordy I dont like vampire books but I was AGAIN bookless (I had plenty of re reads to do) so my neighbor said oh read this and this.....well geesh I read them all too.....I loved those and the reading was so good....I love to read I guess.....My favorite is Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston ones.....try those and you will be hooked too..

Last night hubby and I went to Margaritas for supper....yup I blew my diet but today back on it....I had a gc from Ava to go there.....so we ate until we popped.....this is so good and the atmosphere is like being in Mexico Pavilion...in fact a few years back said that they all got their furnishings from the same place that epcot did.....go figure.....beautiful and we enjoyed the meals....

see you later gators ...sun is shining on my monitor and I have to move me.

I stayed home sick today with a cold so I could get some extra rest. Sure hope it's not a sinus infection. Too much stress lately, I guess, combined with missing my vitamins for a few days.

Hubby went to the grocery store and picked up the ingredients for chicken rice soup. It's bubbling away on the stove. He has a cold too :(

whenever one goes off the diet.....the next day can start all over.....so I did this morning....had my egg sandwich ...then for lunch I had half peanut butter and banana (one half of the banana) and was full......I drank my liquids necessary....then I had a half of a naval orange.....for snack...tonight I made home made pizza and a big big salad.......so I am full.....just had sugar free jello and some squirt out of a can whipped cream.......good going PUMBA........hahaha..

I am sorry you have a cold moo......how about some OJ and then some more OJ and nasal spray........I cant take over the counter meds but that works for me on the spray......then I can sleep and breathe..

YES FOR THE WEEKEND.......have a good one my friends

Thanks, Pumba! Good for you for getting right back on the diet wagon.

I'm taking Airborne and Vitamin C pills instead of drinking OJ. I'd rather spend my carbs on a little wine tonight, LOL!!! My chicken rice soup was tasty (not SO plugged up that I have lost my sense of taste thus far).

My hubby swears by nasal spray, but I'm trying to hold off. Hoping to feel better tomorrow.

Moo-- hope you feel better soon. Colds are the worse especially if you have a cough with it.

Are you getting hit by all this snow. Woke up to it and it is still going pretty good out there. Shoveled once already but will need it again but hubby will snowblow that when the plows go by. Pretty to look at since we are in for the day. Kids have to finish up projects before we go away. What they really want to do is get out there in the snow...

Pumba -- I wish I would have done that instead of gaining all the weight back each time. Each time I said I wouldn't gain it back. It is a cycle for me and I know that isn't good for you either. YO YO dieting is bad. :sad2: Keep up the good work.
