She didn't give him anything. We have to start with diet.

His issue is not the typical stuff. He likes pancakes, waffles, sweets for breakfast. He loves mac and cheese. He will eat veggies provided I make them and put them on his plate. He doesn't balance his meals. He'd be happy to eat 2 hot dogs and be done. Or 6-8 chicken nuggests. That's when I let them make thier own meals. Which is sometimes.

I feel we have become so non active that is the real cause. I wish I could rip out the TV's in my house. I am also guilty about my laptop. School, web classes, and homework doesn't help.

Special occasions bring pop into the house, otherwise I don't purchase it. My mom on the other hand, does like to spoil her grand kids. I will have to put my foot down there.

I restricted Milk to just at breakfast (DH) included, he can drink 1/2 gallon himself a day. I never put the salt shaker on the table. I have a bunch of spices to use to season instead of salt. I looked up some ideas on the web to help.

I personally want to look into weight watches, but money is tight. So, I hope I can do this with common sense.

Moo- Yeah, I'm surprised LilG hasn't popped in yet. Hope you're not a fan 'cause our Tide is rollin' all over them! Plus they are all dripping with sweat. I'm sure they aren't used to that kind of heat.

LOL, Allie - I'm not particularly an MSU fan (my DD went to University of Michigan) . . . but I couldn't figure out how to watch the game here without going to my room because my hubby isn't home and he has the Tivos programmed to record stuff and I don't know how to watch live TV without messing up his recording. So I just decided to keep reading my library book

Mony - You might do well to just let Zack follow a low carb diet. It's pretty amazing how that can lower BP and cholesterol even though you wouldn't think that would be the case eating so much meat.

Good luck with the diet, Mony.
I'm surprised Lil G hasn't popped in too.

Here is a thread to make you happy you were not at DIsney this week:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2623840

Reminder, Ophra's new network started today. Some pretty interesting shows. Of course I always do anything BUT pay attention to TV, LOL. Right now is an ancestry research show where people find their family, later a show about unexplained events.

Still havent figured out what to do with my food processor, it requires an actual meal to go with it, LOL. Also, Nicole just brought out her slow cooker, so I was thinking, AHA, maybe swedish meatballs, I can chop the onion. Of course, that wouldn't do much good tonight, LOL, plus I dont have the meat in the house and have no desire to go shopping. Guess it's fend for yourself time again in the BG household, LOL. I think I'll go drop off my winter wear donations and pick up some Tacos for myself maybe.

Couldn't do much around these parts , no shopping , etc. Everything is shut down. To tired to go anywhere anyway. We did go to church because Nicholas had his job to do. So now it feels like Sunday. Be like the movie Ground Hogs Day because tomorrow we will do the same only this time it will be Sunday.

So stayed in, read the fourth book of the Wedding Quartet by Nora Roberts.

Marita-- I was looking forward to watching OWN today only to find out us Canadians can not get the network until March 1. :confused3

Mony-- We should be more active too, we eat out way to much too. Nicholas is good at eating everything but Hannah is a carb freak and pretty well only eats that if you don't push her to eat other stuff.

Just remembered to update our thread name to 2011 Edition . . . I had intended to do that last night around midnight!

THANK GOODNESS .....ITS ALL OVER.
we had an awesome time and still have food in the fridge....my two little grandkids had a great time and got their Christmas gifts today from us and his two uncles and families....They did good with selections for the kids too..alot of books and toys taht use imagination...we did get some doll for Megan and it giggles and laughs and says words....drives me nuts.....it went home...

I am going to go and put my feet up and watch some tv......to tired to do another thing...

Moo, yes, a low key year for the Moovers for sure. Maybe it will pick up a bit in 2011, if Allie posts more.

Everyone, please remember to update your bookmarks!

I asked Nicole want if anything she want for dinner tomorrow. At first she went for Stuffed Peppers, then just for the cucumber salad my mom used to make, so I guess I will make both. ( I hate cucumber salad, plus it involves raw onions that I abhor. However, I can use the food processor to chop onions, slice cucumber, and chop part of the peppers, woohoo!)
I always have great ambitions and then fizzle out, LOL, especially since it involves going to the grocery store.

Im going to make some fettucine alfredo for myself tonight, with some fresh spinach mixed in and maybe some canned mushroom (inspired by the make to order choice at POR, but sans shrimp, since I dont have any). A slice of texas toast on the side. Either that or nothing, I'm gaining too much weight anyway. I had a lovely dream about smoking in a conference room at Coronado last night, LOL, they had ashtrays set all over.... sigh!!!

Hmm, I don't think people will need to re-bookmark the thread because it was just a name change rather than starting a new one.

OH OH OH....I have shrimp ......frozen in the freezer.......

I love the thought of now going to bed.......night night everyone

Aww my nice weather has gone away. I knew it couldn't last but I was hoping for a few more nice ones so Hubby could get the Christmas lights down outside.

It definitely is quiet around here this year. But it still is nice to see people come and go. I really don't do FB unless someone mentions something to see. I do go on Hubby all the time because my family is there.

Time to start taking stuff down, we too were late putting stuff up. It will take a few days I am sure. The big tree will be the last I will start in the living room and kitchen. My advent wreath is dropping all over the floor in there.

The kids don't have school until Thursday so we can sleep in tomorrow. Have been up late the last few nights and up early for church so it will be nice to know I can sleep in.

No post but mine today....

Good news is the main floor is all clear of Christmas stuff the bad new is it sits down stair waiting to be put back in the closet under the stairs. It has to go in just right and I haven't put anything back in boxes down there yet so they sit.

The hardest job was trying to get the naitivity set back in the box, it was tight and the advent wreath really made a mess taking out the bows etc. But it really smelt nice with the pine boughs .

Off to make supper.... what who knows Maybe eggs and bacon. That is pretty easy or pancakes.

I'm here too, Nabbie! Just didn't feel like posting earlier so I went out and did a little shopping and picked up some sushi for my dinner. Brrr, it's really cold again here as well.

I bought some new sheets, but decided I didn't like the color once I got them home, so I'll have to exchange them after work tomorrow.

I'm still debating whether I want to take the decorations off the Christmas tree today.

Moo-- Don't take the tree down it is too much work.

Just started the wash machine since we have off peak hours on the weekends. I don't now I will have to wait until after 9:00pm tomorrow to wash and stay up all night. I hate smart meters.

I am going to dust my family room then sit for the night ,well inbetween wash loads. I want to watch Undercover Boss ...I think they are on a cruise ship tonight, just caught a little of the preview the other day. And Housewives is new again tonight. It ended off good before Christmas.

tree is gone.......a stray silver mess here and there......but house is back to NORMAL......I have the table cloth to put away after it dries and the two Xmas dish towels and then voila....2010 is a done deal...

My post from earlier today is GONE....I said I slept until past nine cause I was so dang tired...someone steals our posts and puts them someplace else ...I know it I JUST KNOW IT......

Today is another day that I could stand in Maine.......very mild and snow is melting...Hubby and I said we could stand this for sure...

I am going to go and try my new wii games that our kids got us.....Mine is pinballs cause I love pinball machines....then we got something with Disney and Mickey.....will find out what that is or what it does later.....then we got a Cabelas hunting one......this should be fun I think...

Nab....I will pray for your sister's recovery......My sister had lung cancer and they removed her lung and didnt do chemo or anything and it showed up in her bones.....it is a sad disease and I pray for all cancer victims every day.

MARITA.....have I told you how proud I am of your ceasing of SMOKING....you have done so good and it makes me HAPPY......and yes once in a while I too dream of smoking.....I wake up COUGHING...HAHAHHA..
Please continue to do such a great job....it is an on going thing to keep from picking it up

Well, true to form, I got nothing done again today. I am such a miserable couch potatoe, it's not even funny. Except I did get a load of work clothes in the washer, that I need to hang up soon.
Luckily I still have tomorrow off, but first results of actuals for the month will be posted, so I will be sure to be working some. Also really have to get an oil change and nails done. Last 2 pieces of acrylic nails are stuck, and still hints of red on nails, and it need at least some polish, so I need to hit the nail place either way.

My tree is still up. I took down the stuff from the fireplace a couple of days ago, but that is still sitting on a chair, waiting to be put away. But it will be February again

Mony, saw over yonder you signed up with WW, good for you, hope it works for your family!

Put the new sheets on the bed that hubby gave me, wow, they are slick. As in slippery silky slick (but not silk). I didnt look at the thread count, I should have. Not soft, just slippery, LOL.

Careful or you will slide right out of bed. :rotfl2: Maybe that will be your wake up call in the morning. But won't get anymore wrinkles because your face will glide on the pillow now. At least that is what they say.

Speaking of sheets . . .

I went out and bought some new sheets this afternoon because my bottom sheet on my favorite set started disintegrating, but I went and returned them because I didn't like the color when I held them up to my comforter. Of course, they didn't have ivory sheets in that style so I couldn't do a direct exchange, so I had to get the more expensive, higher threadcount ones (800)! I am washing them now. I may not have the gumption to put them on the bed until tomorrow night.

AND I didn't undecorate the tree yet. You're right, Nabbie. Too much work!!! That'll probably wait until next weekend.

I have to tell you guys a story.

One year hubby got us silk sheets for the water bed and silk pillowcases.
I went to bed and kept on sliding off my pillow ...it kept on going on the floor....so I grabbed a hold of the pillow with one hand and put it under my other arm and held on for dear life......two days later those silk pillow cases and sheets were history......we got good ol' fashion sheets and pillowcases.......it was our 35 wedding anniversary gift.....we figured we would make it to our 36th if we got rid of those ....ROFL.

we got sick of finger rolls so we had pizza for supper..so in order to make 2011 healthy.
I just did thirty minutes of wii workout.......tennis bowling and then pinball (new game that doesnt take much effort) and then JUST DANCE......I was soaking wet from sweat.....worked my butt off.......

night friends

Funny story, Pumba!

Well, good thing I got the new sheets tonight because the one little worn spot was just the beginning -- the bottom sheet pretty much shredded when I pulled it off tonight! It's history now!!! I guess adding more water to the waterbed must have put too much strain on the fabric. The new sheets seem to be much thicker and the bottom sheet is not anywhere as tight a fit.

Hopefully they'll be comfy and not slippery
