morning everyone.

Earl was a rain maker and that was it......Thank you God....We needed the rain badly as most of Maine is in a drought situation...We went to bed last night and the rain just started...woke up to the sun....I did sleep in until 8 and it was just wonderful..
Finished folding some clothes and put the comforters in from our bed. They are needed because Megara gets on and she sheds like a banshee.

Today is Saturday and I have until Tuesday to relax and enjoy ourselves......Hubby said he was going to unplug the pool today or tomorrow as the temps are now going to be in the 60s during the day.....FINE WITH ME.
After this past heat wave we need some air....

Megara and hubby are snoozing......they got up early....hubby is on the floor and megara is in my big chair........shhhhhhhhh dont tell them I told you..ROFL

Well we are home now thank goodness.

We played two games and were out today. But it was freezing...rain , wind. Felt so bad for the guys because they had to play with no coats just there uniforms. They were soaked and miserable. They won a t-shirt and a patch to put on there baseball bags saying they played in the Provincials. They were happy with that they did not want to play another game tonight. It is 55 degrees out there with off and on rain. Not good.

Now I am nice and warm and watching Camp Rock 2 with Hannah. She watched it last night with her grandparents too. Can't have enough Jonas Brothers.:lmao:

Pumba -- glad you only got rain over night and nothing major.

Mony-- I remember Hannah riding for the first time too. We waited her out too. Then when she wanted to ride herself her dad was taking to long to come out so she did it herself. Way to go Mal.

We have to wait for the first day of school for the teachers. They had a note on the school door. They weren't sure how many teacher they were going to have the budget for so hopefully we have a lot of new students , that means more money and more teachers. They said if not there would be a lot of spilt classes. :sad2:

I totally over did it being on my feet today. But my entire 2nd floor is clean.

I usually go through something like this before a school semester starts, because I know how busy I'm gonna be.

Then I started pulled some done plants/flowers outside which moved to the garden. But at least its done and I don't have to worry about it later.

Then I finally went grocery shopping.

Did I mention Tim and I have been sick since we came home from vacation? Me more than him. Sneezing my head off and blowing my nose like crazy. Zack went to bed saying he thinks he is sick, got some chills going on. Let's just hope with him, its nothing. Remember he got pneumonia last fall? That was horrible for him.

Two more days and then it will be like the running of the bulls over here. Let me tell you, I'm gonna cherish these next two days.

Church in the morning and I'm hoping I can convince this family to put away the clean laundry from yesterday while I take in a movie or two!

Nab, I can't believe it's so cold up in your parts already, brrrr! Even in Montana today it was 79 Chris said. Disney (at least Contemporary, i am sure others too) were showing Camp Rock 2 on the free movie screen under the stars tonight. I missed it on TV

Mony, hope you all feel better/don't get sick, eek! Sounds awfully busy for you coming up, no fun!

I went to bed a 2am last night, looking forward to listening to Kim Kommando show on the radio which is only on Saturday nights, but instead was this polital talking head. I was only Friday night ! 3 more days off to go:goodvibes

Today I woke up to the dishwasher repairman working, yay!! Finally it's fixed, under warranty. And DH cleaned the beige stove top! Spent a few hours doing work work, and no time doing house work, LOL. But that is going to change tomorrow!!

I'm thinking of starting a container garden. Some flowers I think, herbs wont do much good for me.
Also haven't colored my hair yet or gotten nails done :rolleyes1 I always have these grand plans and then just end up being a couch potato, sigh!!

I am reading this thread on the CB about Disney sins confessions and just had to post this one, never heard of this before:

We've made a redneck salad from the hamburger fixings at a couple of CS places (you know, eat some of your burger and fries, use the space on your tray to make a big salad).

oh, i 'm still around & getting rounder too, :rolleyes1

nabby, you're a regular jet setter!

well, ever wonder if mental health specialists need to be @ least

a lil' looney tunes ? well i "think" it helps...:yay:

and you know all my troubles last year & my penchant for advise?

our hospital had a wonderful visit from joint comm., psst they ain't
no tooth fairy. no matter, gave "us" as prefect score. &
wanta know "who" documentation they checked on? clue, has a
real "grumpy" personality. not only that....they went out of
their way to let us know, they had "no recommendations" for us.
do you know ? we get the privilege of receiving pts. all over the
country. especially those that are violent & assaulted many.
[ one guy beaten up many troopers & was in restraints for
weeks.] not only did i do the receiving ..i had no male staff.
but you already know a lil' about the "tools" i used. psst, our
biggest problem is getting them out the door, not keeping them.
think about it....as for my other lil'problem, let just say, he
sure has been behaving this year. probably not by choice but
behaving no less.

mental health..isn't about being crazy but finding out the secrets
on living life well. and it isn't anything like "normal" people think.
[ in reality, you be surprised how many here { the'boards} are posting
real serious s/s of mental health deficits. then maybe not.

oh, backie ? don't think for a second that i am not using my skills
for dvc problem solving. if you had to work with these people, i
can see..many , many headaches. make no mistake about it!
we are very , very disappointed in the ways the dvc ignoring
many problems & they way we were dumped! fyi, don't think just
because we received some corrective actions, does not mean
i don't realized they "cover up" some real wrongdoings. and of
course, they having to deal with me asking questions ,

good news, i see disney going to do rescue rangers as a comic series.
tell ship & dale..there's lots of nuts in dvc,

this has been a very good year for us. we getting ready for a cruise
& a wdw stop. my lil' princess:, isn't a baby no more- :sad1:
but she is pretty-darn beautiful. needless to say, her daddy has gotten
a few new guns. still have my conceal carry...

sad that they closed the "waking tinker~bell experience." last year, it was
my favorite memory, even though my baby girl informed me, " i'm
too old daddy". but when i told her i do it, she just had to help,

" a philosophy is nothing more than a feeling we believe in." came across
some of my original pt. ed. notes that i used when i first recognized
the need for helping patients understand there were ways to regain
their good feelings back---it was dated , 17 years ago. ,
back them , i was still a kid! [ well , in my ways of thinking, today.]

if you got to be something, why not happy? [ could have told you all
i am getting better- looking, skillful, or wiser , but that be lying.

I have seen this done......:lmao:

Yay for the dishwasher dude to show up and hubby cleaning the stove for you.

It was still cold today but not as wind so it seemed warmer today. Now they are calling for humid weather for back to school on Tuesday. Everyone is going to be sick with this crazy weather.

Mony--I am like that I go go go and then pay for it the next day. Enjoy tomorrow.....

Lil'g -- nice to see you around again. Glad you got to see the pics. Your cruising soon? We still have one sitting there that we booked last time we were on. But now they are giving Canadians 25% of DLC for Jan -Feb so hubby is thing of putting that one off again and just getting a new for then ...let see if I can make that happen....

I found a thread on the CB about how to clean a white cooktop!

Gonna try magic eraser tomorrow

hello.
yesterday hubby and our son went up north almost to Canada looking for the moose that they will be hunting in a few weeks.......Daughter in law and the two rugrats and myself went to Story Land in NH....it is a good ride there and traffic jams because it is in the White Mts....what a great day..and my legs and feet were SORE....they have alot of rides and stories for the kids and some rides are a notch below Disneys...nothing is as good as disney......the hamburger I got there was EXPENSIVE......give me Disney hamburg and fries ......we had a great time and got home at 8 pm .......we left our area at 7:30 AM......
Hope you all have a great last day before TUesday:lmao:

Pumba-- sounds like you are having a nice weekend.

Marita-- Yay for cleaning tips. Those magic eraser things clean lots of stuff. Love them. Did you sleep in this morning?

I did , everyone did.... Now they are louging around in pajamas, one playing games, the other watching cartoon and Disney show after another. You think this is the last time they can do these things.

Me I am doing this :laundy: Hubby is sleeping because he has to go into work tonight.

Hannah is really excited about school tomorrow and seeing her friends. I was alwasy excited for school too. Nicholas not so much....

I slept in this morning too, after seeing Mari off at about 7:30 :( We're hoping to hear soon that she made it back to NC safely. I've had a relaxing day at home, mostly just reading and playing with the pups. We went wine tasting in Southwest Michigan. That was lots of fun . . . I picked up several bottles of wine for myself and a few bottles for Mari and Don got some beer for himself and Mari's boyfriend at one of the wineries that also had a brewery.

Hope everyone has had a nice Labor Day weekend! And I hope that back to school time tomorrow, for those whose kids are just going back, goes well!!!

Marita - I've used a Magic Eraser before and it's great for removing hard water stains and soup scum in the bathtub and sink. Never tried it on the stove, but I don't have a smooth cook top.

Moo-- have you been in the wine...or do you always have soup in the bathtub.:lmao: Sorry couldn't resist.

Hope Mari gets home safe. How long does it take to drive to N.C ?

My house smells like brownies. Made them for the kids first day of school.

Trying to get them to bed early tonight , Hannah is already there , Nicholas will go at 10:00

Nabbie - Ha! Yes, that would be soAp scum, LOL! And I plead the fifth on the wine . . .

Brownies sound yummy.

Mari messaged me around 8:30 that she had made it back to NC safely. Yay! It's about a 13 hour drive. She said she was a bit stiff and tense from all the driving, but sounded very glad to be home.

I think they are all finally asleep! Good God I should be too, 5am is gonna come early!

Spent this evening in the ER with Malorie. She is gonna be trouble for us. Fell off of her bike, standing, not riding it, and fell onto her arm. She was walking around this house holding her arm and wouldn't move it much. Especially rotate it. I thought I'd give her time to see if she just bruised it.

So at 7ish I took her in and they aren't convinced its not broken or fractured, so they splinted it (hard cast on the underside of the arm) with a cloth splint to rest it in. She's to keep it like that until Wednesday. I take off the splint and see how it feels for her to move it. If its not better I take her to the specialist.

I just shake my head and smile.

Nope they aren't sleeping one just came down and tattled on the other. Lovely!

Mony-- Poor Mal. Hope she heals fast.

Nicholas was still up at 12:30 which means I was too telling him to go to bed a million times. Of course this morning he wouldn't get up , said he was tired. No kidding. Hannah got up a few times to go to the bathroom too. But she was up before me.

Both have new teachers that are new to the school so hopefully they are nice. This is the first year for Hannah to have a male teacher.

Each grow an inch since May. Crazy. Nicholas is now 5'11 and Hannah is 4'6.5

Now what to do today, hubby is sleeping for night shift...maybe I will crawl back in with him for a nap....:lmao:

Everyone's school day went well. 1/2 day for each of them.

My first class today: teaching reading pre-primary through grade 9, I think I'm really gonna like and I have another to go back to later, something about diversity and students, mandatory class.

I have this new cutie pie that just started today in the day care. He is so stinking cute!!!! He's 2.

They are all sleeping, so I had a few mins to check in.

Mony, I hope Mal is OK. How scary! I remember when my son feel face down on a drainage grate, so scary, but luckily he was ok.

Nab, sounds like everything is back on track for the school year, including bedtime fights, LOL.

Moo, glad Mari is home safe, whew!

I went back to work today kicking and screaming!! I did NOT want to go back. But alas, I had to.
Let me tell you what, things are dead, DEAD, at Disney right after Labor day. My hotel had barely 60% occupancy, not any better anywhere else A merchandise manager told me today she had to stop at WOD in DTD and found a parking space right out front, she thought she was dreaming!! :3dglasses
But that is normal for this week of the year, great time to come if you can manage to.

Oh, and after weeks of thinking my most reliable (ie early alarm I can actually still set the time on) was broken because it never went off anymore I discovered that someone (DD im sure) turned down the volume to zero!!! :headache: Never occured to me to check that before. So this morning it went off fine........

OK better head to bed for another day of fun and games at work

Chad and I had a great time. It was so nice to be alone. When we checked in they first had given us a 2nd. floor room in Aotearoa facing the monorail. She immediately looked for a new one. She put us on the 3rd floor in Tokelau facing the Grand Floridian. I was excited about it, that building is supposed to have great garden views. Well, it was a major let down when I opened the curtain and we were facing the stairway of the next building. So we walked back up there and I sweetly asked if there was ANYTHING else. Nothing in Fiji or Samoa(where we've previously stayed). So I asked her to check Aotearoa facing the lagoon as I had heard that some of those garden view rooms had nice views. A few minutes later she came back and said they found us a room on the 1st floor in Aotearoa and it was a lagoon view with a view of the castle. :cloud9:

In retrospect I don't want a patio room ever again. You really don't get to see your view much because you can't keep your curtains open, especially not in that building because the Spirit of Aloha dinner crew walked 10 feet in front of our patio every night, twice. lol. Also, the mosquitoes were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad that you couldn't even sit out on your patio after dark, or down on the beach, to watch the fireworks. So that was a major bummer. It was the first time we'd ever been to Disney that they didn't have the mosquitoes under control.

We sat by the pool a lot, went to the MK one night, just to ride Space Mountain(which was a walk on). We ate at Cape May Cafe, Le Cellier and the Kona Sushi Bar(twice). You can sit at the sushi bar and eat from the Kona Cafe menu without a ADR. We got up early on Friday and went to Hollywood Studios. We rode TSM, RnR, then we sat down on a bench to watch the street show. Chad was chosen to act with the lady. At the end I had to play her part for a romantic twirling around dip me back kiss. It was fun. We had to hold the kiss until the "director" said, "cut". Which was FOREVER. We were laughing so hard. We went to the MK early on Sunday morning and then hit up Epcot after lunch. That evening we saw a movie at DTD. Monday morning we woke up early and came home. I couldn't wait to see Ellie. I was terrified she wouldn't want to nurse anymore, but that wasn't the case. :lmao:

We held hands everywhere. We sat back and watched other Mom's and Dad's trip over their kids and strollers and said, "I'm so glad that isn't us."

But, now it's back to being us. lol. My kids were perfect angels at my sister's. Never fighting, always doing what they were told the first time. The second they got home and fighting and screaming returned. :headache:

Mommy P-- Wow you did lose a lot of weight!! Sounds like a great weekend away for two. I hear you on the kids are great somewhere else then get home and they are little devils for you. :headache: Love the pictures.

I told hubby after our huge trip with the kids he owes me a alone.....where I don't have to cook and do everything for them.

Martia-- I have my alarm set but am usually up befrore it. Guess I am back on track. Get to sleep longer too because I am not watching that boy in the morning this year. He is old enough now by law to stay home that hour. I will miss my fun money but this way I don't have to get dressed right away in the morning either to answer the door. Kids can see me in my pj's.

Here is another pic. the only one of both of us. lol
disneychadandme2010011.jpg

I think that our next couples only trip will be a cruise. Probably not until 2012, unless it's just a 3 night cruise next year. But I will only cruise in Jan, maybe May. Def. not in the summer. lol. Not sure if it will be a Disney cruise, they are SO much more. I could get a balcony room on Carnival for the price of an inside cabin on Disney. lol. I will have to start researching it.
