Are you getting hit by snow Moo?

They are calling for another snow storm. This has been one wicked winter.

The kids have beach day tomorrow too so I hope it isn't a snow day. They had wacky hair day today. Nicholas looked like he had major bed head and Hannah had multiple ponytails with a few braids and one ponytail with just her bangs in it. They have to take a $1.00 in for Lent for each day they participate. Thursday is P.J day and then they are off for March Break. Hannah's class is buying a cow for World Vision and Nicholas class is buying fruit trees.

Mony-- Hope you feel better soon. You have had a rough winter too.
Okay, I may or may not have been skimming and the P.J. stood out to me. Should we have the great PJ day debate again? We haven't had it yet on THIS thread.

Moo...thanks for the pixie dust. :goodvibes I'm pretty sure it always helps.

DTD....that's so cool!! How exciting!

I need to find dinner. Somehow the Spaghetti-O's and broccoli I was told to give the babysitting kids tonight just weren't appetizing to me. :scared:

No snow so far, Nabbie! Although a bit is predicted. It got awfully cold since yesterday. I had to put a little air in my tires on my way home and it felt like my fingers were frozen when I got back in the car. Beach day sounds fun!!! Hope the kids enjoy their day.

PJ, I subscribe to the pixie dust theory too. BTW, Spaghetti-Os come without the little meatballs ;) I had leftover shrimp alfredo from last night, plus one of those Red Lobster cheesy biscuits. And a salad.

Bonnie, glad to hear your hubby is coming home :)

PJ, I hear you on the starvation/lack of food options. In addition to the 6 bites of potato salad for lunch today (from the Dis Cafeteria ), I ended up making a TV dinner of chicken heaven knows what sqaushed into nugget shapes with tiny (and I mean TINY), sides of mac and cheese and corn. Couldn't even finish that so-called chicken junk.

I have 12 gazillion cans in the house, but no bread, nothing to make a decent meal with (that I feel like anyway). I may throw a piece of Texas Toast in the oven yet, or starve until tomorrow, when we get fed by the Convention team for lunch. Decisions, decisions........:scratchin

And now for something completely different....

I love to watch House Hunters on HGTV at 10 pm. But lately they have been showing MILLIONAIRE House Hunters. I really DO NOT need to see that. OK, call it jealousy, but really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shoulld they buy the 4000 sq. ft. wth the Casita and pool, or the 3,500 sq. ft with the Casita and pool and putting green?
Give me a break!

I don't know that I want to eat any form of pasta in a can regardless of what meat is/is not included. I'm sorry, but it's just strange!

Welllll....I have food, I just had gone straight from school to babysitting where I elected not to eat the food the kids were eating so once I got home I needed to eat. I selected homeade vegetable soup and it's been rainy for days so it was perfect. :) Go eat something, Marita!!!!

Why was this such a food-related post?

Got an email from my sis telling me my niece's ice cream shop(Pied Piper Creamery) was chosen as a locale for Last Comic Standing to show a taste of Nashville, where they're searching now. Here's a pub picture.

Jenny(the owner) and her sister Becky are in the middle, lleft and right respectively with hosts Fern Cotton and Bill Bellamy.

NO WAY! That is so cool! Your sissy looks so much like you! Only softer and female! She looks friendly and approachable. :flower3:

I love that show! Stand up comedy is the best.

I want to taste Nashville! (Vanilla in a dipped waffle cone)

Hi Moo-vers! :wave2:

I was asleep once but I have to keep myself awake for when I have to go pick up DH! He's been in Portland for 9 days. We are excited for him to come home!

Mo, I am so sorry to hear about your Pneumonia again! That is awful, lady! I really hope you are taking it easy.

E, how is your son doing? How are you doing? I hope all is well.

Hi Bonnie!!!!

GOOG MORNING!

Well it was 70 on Monday and the high today will be 43. Poor DS played football outside with the neighborhood boys on Monday and was so looking forward to doing the same thing again yesterday....and it was 50 and raining. :sad2: I can't wait til spring arrives. We are all a little house-burnt.

Moo...I'm sure my niece was out late Monday too. She is at University of Chicago and I guess there's a university pub? (We don't have those in KY.) Anyway I reminded her that she was born on Mardi Gras and she was like :confused3 ....really?? Did your niece know she was born on Mardi Gras?

Marita
....I hope DS still gets the job he wants!

DTD....Awesome about your niece's shop! Now where exactly is the ice cream shop in Nash Vegas? Celery? Have you been there?

PJ....You know that I know that God has his reasons for everything. Unfortunately, we don't get to see the big picture til we get there. BUT. I'm certain your paper will be better the second time around...and easier to write. Still sorry you have to write it again.

MONICA!
:scared1: Maybe you just need to get a good book and lay down to rest for a fews days with the new meds. Can Tim take over for a coupla days?

EVERYBODY ELSE.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY!

Moo...I got no birthin stories, sorry. I'm sure there's someone around here with one or two (or a dozen) kids who would be more than happy to throw one in though. ;)

Lexi...thanks for the encouraging words. It's hard to remember that sometimes.

Okay....

GOOG MORNING, SUNSHINES!!!!!!!

greatday.jpg

C ya.
:grouphug:

Yup it is a snow day!!!!:sad2:

The kids still want to go to school in their beach wear. Schools stay open but the buses don't run meaning there may be 75 to 100 kids tops in the school. And it is also pizza day that will also be canceled then moved to Friday but wait Friday is the start of Spring Break so no pizza.

P.J.-- We can wait a few more years for your story. I think we would all like to hear about a husband first maybe.....:lmao:

Marita -- those big houses are so nice though. Wouldn't want to clean them though. And a lot of the time it is like two people moving into them.:confused

All this snow reminds me of Pumba, hope she is doing better.

Hello to everyone else! Sup? ;)

The sky. Inflatation. Gas prices.;) (why are we winking at each other?)

My biggest gift today was being told I have pneumonia AGAIN!

This is the single worse being sick season I ever encountered.

That stinks. I hope you feel better soon.

check out my new location

I like it. I'm not sure prezackly what it means, but it's very amusing.

I am grabbing on to this theory. I experienced all of the crap the first 3 months of the year and in the next nine I am going to find the PERFECT job and everything in my life will fall into place. Yes, this is the theory we will follow, you've cheered me up! 1-4-3!

Thanks to everyone for the hugs and kind words. And thanks for the encouraging PM's.
:grouphug:
I will now apparently pick myself back up and begin writing this paper again. I see it as a blessing in disguise, really. I mean, now I get to contemplate the value of the cosmic curriculum and how it fits into the Montessori philosophy not ONCE but TWICE, how lucky am I?

bwahahaha! Listen to that Sunnybrook post. You are THIS close to complete and total conversion.

Hello to everyone else :grouphug: I am off to see how badly Wendy is kicking my keester yet again

keester kicking kinda has a ring to it. Lynette: add it!

Posting food of a delicious nature is strictly forbidden hencetoforth until further notice.
Which is basically an invitation to post dough-nuts and cake. HA!

Even though it was tempting, I refrained from posting any food-like items. Goog luck in the competition. Is it on your WISH thread?

Got an email from my sis telling me my niece's ice cream shop(Pied Piper Creamery) was chosen as a locale for Last Comic Standing to show a taste of Nashville, where they're searching now.

That is really cool. I wonder why our ice cream shop wasn't chosen? (Maybe the fact that it is standing room only had something to do with it?)

I figured Mony could eat the itty bitty snack sized pieces of chocolate, Wendy!

I will be glad to help itty bitty snack sized pieces of chocolate. Just trying to do my part for humanity and all.

Are you getting hit by snow Moo?

They are calling for another snow storm. This has been one wicked winter.

Yeah, we got slammed by a huge snow storm here. I might even have to dust the flurries off of the windshield before I start the car this morning. lol

E, how is your son doing? How are you doing? I hope all is well.

He in on the road to recovery. Thanks so much for asking. Hope you and the girls are staying healthy this winter.

.

I have 12 gazillion cans in the house,

But what are in the cans? Spaghetti-O's? Meatball-less spaghetti-o's? cat food? We need more info.

To annoy WT . . .

Ha! and that is reason enough.

I can't wait til spring arrives. We are all a little house-burnt.

Me too!

On a side note: Caleb is doing pretty well. He is relieved from all outdoor "chores" until the stitches come out. He can't very well feed all the animals at Sunnybrook, lest he get kicked, bumped, pawed, or jumped on. He is very happy about this scenario. Julia is not. She has to pick up the slack, b/c we are family and we help each other. She LOVES that reply.

His bedroom is upstairs, and he's been sleeping downstairs b/c it hurt too much to walk up the stairs. But last night, he S-L-O-W-L-Y made the trek up to his room, b/c he thought he would sleep better.

And I just have to brag for a split second, b/c it speaks to this child's nature. He has never once opened his mouth to complain about anything. Even though I can look at him and tell he is hurting and miserable. And although he was sooooooo disappointed about the track team thing, he just said "well, there is always next year." Alright, brag over. Thanks for indulging me.:goodvibes

HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY!
It's at 114 E. 11th. Go down 65 and stay on 24 when they switch. Get off on Shelby away from downtown and turn left on 11th. It's about 3 blocks on the left in an old house next to a bar.

NO WAY! That is so cool! Your sissy looks so much like you! Only softer and female! She looks friendly and approachable. :flower3:

Those are my nieces. And the one on the left, Becky, has been plaqued her whole life with looking like me. She also walks like me, talks like me, and has my sense of humor. Keeps her in trouble. Jenny is Glancy's mommy.

WooHoO, that is exciting, DTD!

I thought you were going to bed super early tonight???????
I was in bed by the time you posted. That would be 8:30 central. And, since it didn't snow, I didn't have to work. So I got a real goog nights sleep.

I know what you mean about the pretend spring we got. Riley and I went to a park and had so much fun - I wanted to do it again yesterday, but it was spitting snow. How bizarre is that? Hopefully today will be better.

DTD has told me before where the shop is - I think it's near the farmer's market. I'll look it up again and hopefully make it there sometime soon.

So there really IS something in the water at Sunnybrook, eh? Hehe. Just kidding. He sounds like a great kid and I'm so glad he's doing so well.

hello........its pouring here.........but ice pouring too.......i do not make sense for some reason.......told hubby the other day that its a good thing that my mama got her flu shot cause this one would of killed her.....but she is gone already.....wierd...I just took the last pill ...two a day for five days....I am weak and did eat some breakfast today....I have to.....hubby comes home and does the chores and feeds me more.......I (yuck feeling about eating) I lost 8 pounds...hell of a way to lose it.....I know it goes back on...
hugs to you all and I know I am supposed to say bon voyage? and hugs to caleb and hugs to pj or someone else too.......take whatever is here

I actually am feeling better after one day on meds. I caught it quicker than before.

We got 7 inches of snow last night and the kids are home AGAIN!

Thanks for all the birthday/well wishes.

I got a new baby today to watch, 7 months. Maddy is so jealous when I hold her and all the new one does is cry which makes Maddy cry.

:guilty:

Wow, Monica, you really got slammed with snow!

We fortunately only got a light dusting. Nabbie, it sounds like you got a fair amount too!

Glad it mostly missed us this time. We have a blue sky day :)

1. Ummm.....cuz you lof me? :confused3

2. Check.

3. Poor Caleb. :sad2: Perhaps you could bake something nice for him? Or buy him a new video game to keep him busy? Or some dang thing? Just the thought of his injury makes me light-headed. Oy.

Hey to everyone else! We're halfway through the week! YAY! w00t, even!

I am just saying this, ok? Just saying it, ahem, but snowdays are not healthy for my 2 boys. Just saying.

We never get snow days. Which would be bad for ME, so I'm glad.

Monica- You are UP! I've got a little note to nudge you. I may have prodded even.

Pumba-You should have joined the BIG W.I.S.H. weight loss smackdown! We could have used that 8 pound loss. ;)

BabyNurse- My son Jordan (almost 19) aka: "Kinky Kitty Kat", said to call you "Veal". When I stared at him blankly, his smile disappeared and he said, " Get it? Baby Cow?" I said, "It's the wrong forum, duh"? He just walked away shaking his head, woefully. Then I laughed.

YES, the BIG weight loss challenge is on my WISH thread. You don't have even one pound to lose. I really want to win. I'm on a recruitment campaign.
