MP- :grouphug: One of the twins also had to have the cord silver nitrat'd off... I had totally forgotten that among the myriad of other health problems they had between them. That one never even made my radar- maybe because they were early? IDK. Anyway- it is very scary to have some mysterious thing wrong with your baby.

Babynurse-- no bunnies? We have one in the back yard that leaves a trail I could send you if I could catch him. That is a lot of animals and a lot of names to come up with.
And yet none of them are named Depp or Bublé.

Please pray for him and my sister and her husband. Also that God would give me words to say to minister to her. I never know what to say, so I usually just back away. But I don't want to lose the relationship we've built. They will most likely have to surgically remove his cord as well.
I'm sure Lil' G and others are more well-versed in this area than I am but I know I've read so often that it's better to say something than nothing. Tell her you are there for them, that you love them, that you're thinking about them, that you're praying for them, etc.

Prayers said here as well.

Well, you guys could keep Little John in your prayers. My sister took him to the Dr. yesterday because he is 5 weeks and his cord still hasn't fallen off. They sent her to a specialist today. His white count is low, which is why is cord hasn't come off. Of course a low white count could also be the big L word. Which no one is saying. I don't know why. They are testing him first for some off the wall rare things and they take him back on the 25th, for they don't know what reason. How do they test for leukemia? I guess it also could be as simple as his immune system just hasn't built up enough yet, but then why is it so rare to have a cord not come off? I would want to know right away if it was cancer or not, forget beating around the bush. Testing for everything else it could be. It's most often cancer. Please pray for him and my sister and her husband. Also that God would give me words to say to minister to her. I never know what to say, so I usually just back away. But I don't want to lose the relationship we've built. They will most likely have to surgically remove his cord as well.

Absolutely! Don't back away, even if it's the most "comfortable" thing to do. Even if you tell her how much you love her and you're here for her. Family needs to rally "just in case". Especially the females. Maybe you can distract her a little while you're waiting for the results?

Listen to your heart and you'll do what's best for her :lovestruc

A Twofer!

Ok gang.

It's the moment of truth.

The 2008 Cub Scout Pinewood Derby!

Boo YAH~!

Before you ask/beg, OF COURSE I'll take pictures! Plenty! I will inundate this thread with pinewood derby goodness.

If we do well that is.
If not, we will be forced to move out of this fine state to somewhere SOUTHERN  and have to change our last name to MacGhillicuddy and start a Llama ranch and live in a double-wide and drink Coke! :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: !!!!!

So wish us well! (swish us well!)

Prayers going to you for Little John ........

Nab...go and use the pure vanilla....the first stuff that we had from out of the country was 120 proof and it was so delicious....made home made ice cream with it.......I use my own vanilla for home made icing.....the kids always would ask me how do you make it ..so I would tell them.....put confectionary sugar in a bowl and add a few tablespoons of milk, a little oil, and then a wee bit of vanilla.......it gives the frosting just a nice smooth taste....even to make vanilla sugar cookies......dont be afraid to use it....

hope you all have a great night

Mommy P-- Prayers for little John and your whole family.

UMA-- good luck with the Derby.

If we do well that is.

Again. Quit making fun of me. And we have ostriches as well as llamas now.

1. Ah, you've learned well, LilL. I'm so proud that you followed the correct format that I'll overlook the 'tude. Mostly. I'll only harumph you a leeetle bit. See what a generous person I am?

2. What kind of soup didja get?
1. Feel free to show your generosity through monetary contributions to the hotT college chick fund in the future.
2. Potato. I've never met a potato I don't like.
Did the puppy sleep last night?

PJ....When will you know about the test?
4 weeks! :sad2:

BUT! I found PEeeeeeej's school while I was at it!
It was in a bad part of town (I think ALL of cincinnati is a bad part of town) and it's a montessori school, so I told my mom "Quick! We need to take a picture! I bet that's PJ's school!"
"Why would he want a picture of a school?"
"It's her school!"
"He goes there? Who?"
"PJ! It's a she! She's a student teacher about to graduate!"
"Oh. The one with the paper that her computer ate."
"YES! HER! You're not a very good stalker."

So anyway, I'll PM the name of the school to PJ to see if it really was her school.
Cuz she goes there and all.
True that.
Are we talking about the school I teach at or the school I take classes at?

Sick girls up all night puking together. I guess the bright side is, only one night's sleep out the window instead of two.
Yuck. Are they feeling any better today?

I
PJ: Poor little sick girl. As Pollyanna once said "At least you wont die from it" hee hee hee.
BUT, if/when I do die from it, I am totally coming back and haunting YOU! That's right, YOU, my friend.
p.s. excellent jammie choice this morning. I wonder if anyone else owns those jammies. Matching, even.

PJ: Hi! Thought of you last night because I put on classical music and taught the girls a little ballet.
You know ballet? Then why are you so desperate to pay someone else to teach it to them??

Dont worry, everything smells nice here in Sunnybrook. Duh.;) Plus we have no swine or bovine, and plenty of land for everything to roam. It's all good, just ask the stalker girl PJ. I can't keep her away from this place.
Yeah, ummmm, you just can't keep me away. I didn't cancel the past 2 weekends under the guise of strep throat or blizzards or anything. :rolleyes1

MommyP...prayers for the entire family. :grouphug:

I didn't make it to school today. I think my body knew I absolutely had to go on Monday for my evaluation so I used all of my strength to pull it together for that. Then, this morning I woke up and I felt worse than ever. Fever was back and everything. After a day of sleeping and drugging myself I think I should be good to go in the morning. Keep your fingers crossed.

You know ballet? Then why are you so desperate to pay someone else to teach it to them??

1. I am not very good.
2. I want them to learn things correctly.
3. Have you tried teaching ballet while holding a baby?
4. Our time together looked more like hippo lake than swan lake.

I do think real lessons are in their future. It will help them with the gymnastics.

Opening the pool....:scared1: I guess it is warmer there then here.

NAB, nope! It was in the low-30's as she was asking about the pool. But my kids are little fish who spend ALL day, EVERY day in the pool, so they can't wait to get it open!

I laugh in the face of demerits. BWAHAHAHA!

I didn't know the names were so stinkin' important.

The black lab lying on the ground is: Cowgirl Molly Justice aka "Molly". She has a funky name, b/c the AKC likes it when you name them wIerd and unusual names and my kids couldn't decide.

Her husband, the yellow lab, is Elisabeth's Ranger LeDoux aka "Ranger". Everytime she lies down and sleeps, he always stands guard over her like that. (LeDoux is after the singer Chris LeDoux. cuz all cowboys/cowgirls love chris ledoux.)

Together they have had 33 puppies, but Molly is fixed now.

We also have a border collie that was forced upon us and was previously named. Her name is Xena.

We also have 3 barn cats. Would you like to know their names? We have Hunter, Simba, and Antonio Banderas. Our horses are named Gabby, Peppy, Chip, and Mocha. And the goats are Bronco, Spanky, and Wrangler. Julia has a hermit crab named Leia. HAPPY?!?! Sheesh.;)

........and a partridge in a pear treeeeeee...........:rolleyes1

1. Feel free to show your generosity through monetary contributions to the hotT college chick fund in the future.
2. Potato. I've never met a potato I don't like.
Did the puppy sleep last night?

1. Uh, yeah. I left you an envelope in the mailbox at Crazynurse Ranch. Didn't you get it?

2. Potato....YUM! Who WOULDN'T love a potato?

Yes, we moved his crate up to our room and he only whimpered for about twenty minutes before he gave up and went to sleep.

Feel better, LilL!

Just popping in for a quick hello since I'm hanging out with my daughter this evening.

bbn, loved hearing about all your critters!

MommyP, sending prayers for your nephew and family

Puke free since 2:30pm.

Mal's entire day consisted of laying on the couch watching her "shows" so she can get better. I think she likes being sick.

She ate 4 baby bites of a hot dog. 12 macaroni noodles, (I rounded up) and lots of water down vernors.

Madelyn ate like she was never sick. Then at 2:30 she puked all over her daddy. That was funny.

I didn't let her eat so much at once, we offered her food in spurts. And she took it all!

Forgot to say earlier that I've added the MommyP family to my prayers. I'm sure just having you to lean on is a great comfort to your sister, MommyP.

Ok, I filled out my NCAA bracket tonight. I've got Indiana losing in the opening round, Kentucky winning the first round but losing in the second, PJ's school going to the Sweet Sixteen, and Louisville making it to the Elite Eight.

I've got North Carolina, Kansas, Texas, and Duke going to the Final Four with Duke beating North Carolina for the championship. What do you all have?

-- Rob

Sacrilege, Rob! My DD certainly does not have Dook beating UNC!!! :lmao:
My heart really wanted to think my KU would beat UNC but my brain thinks they will fall to the Roy Williams mystique.

My boys have UCLA beating Duke -- silly boys.

-- Rob

GOOG MORNING!

I am not putting the lil sun smilie in today because it's raining! Come on summer!

Celery! There you are! Are you driving back to Nash Vegas via Lexmelindington? If so I need to keep the kids in the house or you'll know where we live too. BTW...I like Cincinnati. It's not all the bad part of town. I like Mt. Adams.

PJ....4 WEEKS! :scared1:

Rob....Moo's right! DOOK TO WIN?! A travesty! I wouldn't pick them even if I thought they'd win. On principle!

MommyP....Already praying for Lil John and his mom and dad. I can't imagine what they must be going through.

Wendee....Sooooo....are you moving to the llama farm? Results, please.

GOTTA GET MOOOVING.....Hi, everybody else! :wave2:

Have a great day, everyone! (Hope it's sunny where you are!)
