Moonlight Magic Question

Just wanted to confirm my understanding after talking to member support. I was very excited to learn that our family reservations in January overlap with AK moonlight magic (YAY! I had given up on lucking out with timing). I called member services to confirm the early reservation process. We have three reservations, one for my daughter's family VGF, one for my husband and me at VGF and one for my son at BLT. All four of us are on our direct contracts (VGF). Our BLT is resale. The rep told me that my son can not be included in the tix I will try to get because his reservation used resale points while the other two used direct, even though he is a direct member using points. So likely one of us will stay behind. I know I have to be there if I make the reservations but they don’t seem to care who the other tickets go to as long as they only issue the number of tix for people listed on direct reservations and I can't list my son twice I don't think. So we will see, but they seem to be very strict about only people on direct point resies qualify. Good to know for the future. If anyone has other advice, love to hear.

No they are incorrect and it should work even if the stay was booked on resale points, as long as the member/membership is eligible for membership extras. This question has been asked many times before. Members here often know more about the system than DVC CMs do unfortunately

It may be complicated if you have multiple memberships though since you have to put that number in when booking. If your BLT is under a different membership due to use year/titling then you may have to register twice (once for each membership attending)? If it is all under 1 membership then it should all work under one booking I believe

Tatebeck, thanks for the information and links! Yes, they are different membership numbers/use years so may have to register twice. I will look into it further.
