Moonlight Magic (MK) what to expect?

We were able to get in to the MK Moonlight Magic in April, yay! We've never gone to any of the DVC parties. Wondering what to expect?

I guess I'm imagining something between an After Hours and halloween/Christmas party.

I do know there are special characters. We wouldn't be interested if lines are long. We would most likely be in it for the shorter wait times.

Special fireworks? Dinner voucher, can that be used before the party starts? Wouldn't mind a free dinner, but i don't think we would wait until 9 or 10p to eat. What should I know going in??

I am 99% sure the meal voucher can be used prior to the start. Don’t fill up too much on food, there are all you can eat Mickey bars.

We did the moom light magic at Animal Kingdom 2 years ago. Besides mickey bars you also could get hog dog tray, burger tray with chips/apple and drink. Meals were in different location from mickey bars.
