Moonlight magic dates.. usually when are they announced?

I would predict the next Moonlight Magic events will likely occur in 2022 and will be announced late 2021.

I also wouldn't expect announced events this year. They already just committed that the park reservation system is going to be ongoing this year into next. They just cancelled MNSSHP because of no parades, stage shows or fireworks. Eat to the Beat is going to be without real concerts. They are offering no character meetings.

So, basically, they just took out most of the point of MM save for "after hours entry" and "exclusivity."

That Disney is assuming the new process through September 2021 is not a great sign for MM.

I hope they come back in some capacity at some point. I really enjoy these events. I booked a trip in August for the Typhoon Lagoon event because I've never been to either water park, but canceled when I realized the event was unlikely going to happen.

Officially, only the ones through June have been cancelled.

I'm trying to call member services today to see if the September one during my trip is still on (as well as the painting class). Try to figure out now what I need to book at my 60-day window. I keep on getting a busy signal...

What they will tell you is that MM is on until it's not. They don't have more info than you do, really.

I would expect the painting class to be a no, based on the limitations of experiences listed generally. I don't think I've seen TOTW listed as opening at any point...

Not yet, but I would assume they will be.

We had reservations at SSR specifically for the Sept MM at DHS. However, we saw the writing on the wall and have since changed our reservation (multiple times) to better accommodate our vacation desires. IMO, all MM events in 2020 will be cancelled.

I will be at WDW for one of the Studios Moonlight Magic events. Right now I'm thinking that it will be unlikely to happen. If it does happen and I can get tickets, wonderful. If it is cancelled, I won't be very surprised.
