Monthly Billing for Trash Pick-Up

We pay $16 a month for weekly pick-up.

Wow, thanks everybody! Those prices are not nearly as bad as I was fearing.

So much new stuff to get used to when you move to Mickey's house!

We don't get charged anything though I'm sure it comes out of our taxes. We get two days a week for regular trash, 2 days for recyclables, 1 day a week for bulk, and 1 day a week for yard waste.

Skiwee 1.......so you could concievably be putting out trash every day??? What a pain in the neck!............P

I have one word for all of you paying for someone to pick up your grass clippings and leaves..........COMPOST!!!...............P

Not every day! LOL! Regular trash and recyclbles are Mondays and Thursdays. Bulk is on Monday and yard waste is on Thursday. So we have two days a week for pick up but seperate trucks do it. We never put out yard clippings as we have a big compost pile. Compost is great for the garden!

Ours our built in our taxes.....I don't know how I would do it if I could only put garbage out once a week! We have Tues and Thurs garbage/junk pick up Wednesday is garden stuff and leaves and Friday is cans/bottles and papers. I can't imagine fitting all that into one pail.
For those of you with once a week pickup, what do you do with all your recyclables and leaves, grass shrubs,branches etc?? Thats certainly not things that I would ever put into my car and bring someplace!

We live in the suburbs of Portland, OR and we are billed $42.50 every other month. We get weekly trash pick up, along with yard debris and recycling too.

We do not have recycle pick up here. There is a drop off place but I don't think they have much business. We are allowed to burn our leaves and I think if you have other stuff you have to call. We are in the County but in the city limits they have two days out of the year that they pick up boards,tires etc.
