Monsters replace Muppets replace Aerosmith

I wonder if they will change the track a little bit to get rid of that initial loop, so more kids won't be afraid of it.

DW and I will be booking Mama Melrose's as much as possible just for the Mushroom Pizza appetizer as our main course!! We tried this new addition a couple of weeks ago and both agreed this could be the best pizza we've ever had at WDW.

Will miss Aerosmith for sure, but that being said Muppets will be cute I think with the coaster. Wouldn't have wanted some 3rd level musical group that would be cringey. We all know and love Muppets so I think it works. That being said it would be nice if the original Muppets show could also be relocated so kids could still enjoy. It wouldn't need the original space as that theater was really large. Make it a much smaller version so most of the original stuff could still be retained. Heck make it an LLSP and garner a few extra $$ and then demand will soar of course. Just thoughts. :duck:

Does anyone know the best way to contact Disney and ask them to reopen Muppet Vision in different theater? If they get enough outraged customers, maybe they will find it a home.

Whether Disney does this or not, who knows, but they could phase the closure of Muppet Courtyard to bring Monstropolis up and running.

They can start construction on the coaster without interfering with the existing infrastructure and then slowly phase out the restaurants and shops and leave MV3D open the longest it would need to before they hit whatever timeline they need for the show change to the new Monster show.

I think you underestimate how difficult that would be practically. They would have to get permission from the ride manufacturer (Vekoma) to do any changes to the track, for starters. But they would also require fundamental changes to the ride building and I don't see that being something Disney would want to spend the $$$ on.

I can't see this happening.

What I see being a challenge is newer guests taking the time to learn about a Muppets attraction and not immediately assume it's a family attraction. It will still be a fun but intense roller coaster with loops so not appropriate for many.

My dream is that they somehow make it smoother. I love the ride but even after the latest refurb still find it jostles me around a lot. I tuck my head in a corner of the headrest and enjoy the ride though!

First, I don't want Muppet Vision to be removed. But, WDW has made the decision to close it.

Second, because of WDW's decision, I am in total agreement to move it to a different theater. I want to start off by saying I do love Pixar Short films. But, I would love it if WDW could authorize a total revamp of the Imagination Pav. and shut it down for 1 year plus and swap out the Pixar Short Film Festival with Muppet Vision 3D and also re-tell the story Journey Into Imagination. My "dream" would be for WDW to pony up the dough and bring back the Dream Finder cast Hugh Jackman as the new Dream Finder and take us on a new adventure with Figment. Plus, you could re-structure the fountains to be even more spectacular with Lady Liberty Miss Piggy.

I'm quite confident this would never happen because WDW hasn't been spending money to keep old IP and WDW has butchered EPCOT into a total mess. I don't even understand why the middle of that park was closed for so long only to have its current state of planters and trees and blandness. The Moana thing is okay and some of the lightening is neat, but generally speaking the whole middle of EPCOT is just...meh.

I wonder about the time line. Disney has announced several news about 2025 yesterday, but no mention of Muppets or RocknRollerCoaster. Does that mean, there will be no change in 2025 except for behind the scenes construction?
