i was pretty disappointed when we finally got on. did anybody else feel this way??

Nope. I actually liked it. After I rode it, I took my nephew back the next day for his birthday so he could ride it. And Im taking my nana next week so she can ride it too. I thought the ride was really cute and we all enjoyed it. I loved the "closet doors"!

We drug our teenagers on it..big mistake. It was cute but definalely for the younger ones.

I love it, though I think more than a 15 minute wait is too much.

We rode it last week... I'm not sure the park needs such a tame ride, considering it has the whole "bug's land" for that. It was too much like riding the Pinocchio ride in DL, just with different scenery. My 5 and 7 year olds did like it, though.

I didn't love it but I do agree that waiting in line for more than 15 minutes is too much.

Our family enjoyed it too when we went on for a preview in December. Our 13 year old DD's (12 at the time) thought it was cute, but our 7 year old DD loved it the most I think. I loved the queue line though.

Its needs that ride a heck of a lot more then the empty building that has been in that space for the last 3+ years!

Ahh, but this being our first visit to Disneyland and California Adventure... we didn't know that. I still wish it could be jazzed up a bit.

When the park opened 5 years ago it was "super star limo". Or as it quickly became known as "stupid star lame-o". It was a bad ride, with Joan Rivers of all people. It didnt last long. So, for a few years the building has sat empty. They were able to reuse the track and vehicles to create the new ride. They have really been working the last year or so to add more to DCA and make some changes. They just arent see the numbers that they would like. The park simply doesnt offer enough.

Funny, my kids are ages 5, 7, 10, and 14, and I think DCA was the favorite park of all on this trip. Grizzly River Run was everyone's favorite; California Screamin' totally rocked the 2 oldest kids' world (along with my hubby's); Mulholland Madness was another favorite of the roller coaster riders (everyone but me); Soarin' totally rocked our socks (we had tried this last fall at WDW and loved it then as well). Yeah, the Pacific Wharf area was a bit lame... and it seems a lot of stuff was closed because this is "off season," which totally bites. But I guess because we aren't native Californians, the park was pretty cool to us.

Monsters Inc -- boring.
Grandkids, ages 3 and 5 who enjoyed the movie weren't excited by this ride. Like others said -- the wait was not the worth -- we waited 20 minutes.

I think DCA SOOOOO NEEDED this ride. I like DCA just fine, but it's about time to get a little Disney in there if ya know what I mean. :thumbsup2

I rode on it for the first time last Friday. I thought it was cool and I like Roz's comments at the end. :thumbsup2

It seems a lot of the people who didn't like it were older than little children. Keep in mind the movie was aimed for a VERY young audience. My youngest DD2 loves Monsters, Inc. the movie. My oldest DD6 loved the movie when she was 2, but now doesn't care so much for it. I'm expecting both my DD's will like the ride because it's aimed for their age, apparently. I would expect someone over 10 or so to feel about this ride like they would about IASW. Cute ride, but not so much if you don't have little ones to see it "through their eyes."

I thought the ride was cute but in no means is it my favorite ride. I think little kids will enjoy it which is who it really appeals to. I'll go on the ride again next time I'm in the park but it won't be the first one I rush to.

My DDs(9 and 7) thought that this was a lame ride. My 7y.o. watches the movie at least 1X month! It was long, boring and the que line was too long. It has the feel of the que area for Buzz, without the added excitement to keep you hungering for more. I'm sure that many little ones will enjoy this, but it doesn't have long term appeal.

I agree that it isn't one I'd wait a long time for (but to ride it while it is new you will have to wait). Compared to Fantasyland type rides, I thought they did a great job and it was cute. It is great for little kids and die-hard Disney fans.

My family waited 1 hour for this ride, they made it seem like it was an adventure ride like buzz lightyear.. but overall they did a great job, my family has a super funny inside joke about the end of the ride :)
