Monsters, bugs, and Jack Sparrow!? Final Update 7/13!!!!

An update. Isn't it funny, if you don't go commando you feel like you weren't productive, but then you also know you probably need a day of rest.

Your day at AK reminds me of our last day at DHS. Went to the big Star Wars store they had during SWW and then just went back to the hotel. Can't believe you rode ITTBAB 3 times.

Glad you are finishing up the TR. So, are you moving in to the new house yet?

I hate feeling unproductive, but we definitely needed a break!

I don't remember seeing that store, but I don't really like Star Wars, so I probably just walked right by it! I'm not really a huge Epcot fan, but I love Mouse Gear and can totally see myself going to Epcot just for the store (and TT, of course!)

I'm glad I'm finishing, too. I actually kind of missed it!

We're not moving in until June. We actually decided to build a house, so we just signed the papers at the end of January. It takes about a month and a half for paper work and then about 90 days to build. It should be ready for us to move into when we come back from vacation.

I found some Disney touches I really want to add and kind of want to do our workout room with our Disney pictures, but I have to convince the DBF!

I know, life just gets in the way sometimes. We are doing well, thanks for asking! Hope you are too!

We are going back! I am in full mode of trying to figure out what ti sew for the kids...I am starting much later this year too! But, last year for my birthday I got a new sewing machine and that makes life a ton easier! Maybe a TR...not sure yet...we shall see...

It's so exciting that you're going back! If you don't do a TR, will you at least do like an outfit report!? I loved all the outfits you made and would love to see some more! You're so talented!

Yay, you're back! Great updates. I love the Mickey tie dye t-shirt. Very cute. So are the HSM pictures.

That's funny about wanting to yell out "STEVE!" at Indiana Jones...when we saw that I kept thinking about that scene in Full House.

Hahaha! Steve was all we could think of the whole show. We actually heard someone near us say it rather loudly!

Yay you are back! I was just hoping the other day that eventually we would get to find out about the rest of your trip! How is your school year going?

Life got crazy for us for a few months, but things are settling down enough so I can come back and DIS.

School is going pretty well. Did you end up getting a job? I'm glad you started a new TR. Whenever I would go to clean out my subscriptions I would always see your old TR and didn't want to delete it in case you ever came back to it, so I'm glad to read a new one!

I have one picture I have to share with you guys. We went to Hershey for Christmas CandyLane around Christmas time and found a ride perfect for Jack!!!

I really want to do another update right now, but DBF's computer is broken so he is playing around with it and the wireless internet keeps coming and going. I was getting too frustrated trying to get links for my pictures with internet that kept cutting out, so it will have to wait until tomorrow (unless he gets it fixed quick, but he doesn't have a clue what's wrong with it!).

Oh, so cool about building your home. Any plans to report on it? We have purchased two new homes, but never got to actually pick out anything, well did get to pick my colors on one, but nothing else. Have fun and I think a workout room with Disney stuff sounds cool. I think my family room has turned into the Disney room. I have a chest completely covered with pics from our trips. The DH keeps telling me there are too many on it. But what does he know?

I know it is a little cornball but it has only been not quite a year and I already love looking back and thingking wow this was my house a year ago. It is cool, enjoy every moment.
So I think you guys should plan a disney trip to celebrate the new house!

I just had to tell you that I don't think it is cornball at all. We lived in DC when we were building in Texas. I have pics I took, pics my realtor took while it was being built, and my Dad when he swung by. It is cool!

DBF is waiting on a part to ship to him so he can fix his computer. Mine still works as long as he's not playing with his. Hopefully, he'll get it fixed soon!

I have a couple pictures so far, I can upload if you're interested, but I also posted them all over on Facebook recently and will probably keep up with it more there, since hopefully, my TR will be done soon. Any chance of posting some pictures of your Disney stuff filled room!? I found a Mickey salt and pepper shaker set I really want and a napkin holder from Ebay. I don't want to go overboard, but I'd love a few subtle touches here and there!

Thanks! I'm really excited about the house. We're still waiting on permits and such before they can start building, but once they do it supposedly goes up really fast. I'm planning on taking tons of pictures of each stage, so I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one! I also think it will be cool to look back and see just the land where our house was!

I'm feeling overwhelmed having a whole house to decorate, though! Any tips?


Hopefully, I'll get to the next update after we eat dinner while DBF is working on homework. We're sharing a computer at the minute though, so if he needs it for homework it will have to be after school tomorrow before he gets home. However, I promise an update by then!

Yes, I did get a job so I have been crazy busy between teaching and grad school...hence my inability to complete the last TR. By the time I was free to try and continue it, we went to Disney again, so I decided to just start from scratch. This attempt has been much better seeing as I'm writing about the last day already! But thank you feel keeping the last one for so long, I'm sorry to leave you hanging like that!

I promised an update today! Here it is!

Chapter 25 - Musical and Incredible

We left off over by ToT and RnRC. We grabbed a FP for RnRC and got in line for ToT because they line was pretty short. Not before we grabbed some pictures, though!

Obviously, we don't know how to do air guitar!

We all loved ToT but were not huge fans of RnRC. In all honesty, I decided I don't really like the roller coasters at WDW, except BTMRR. I don't even know why. The roller coasters at Universal are a thousands times better, IMHO. (Although, to be fair, at Universal I took motion sickness pills so the rides wouldn't bother me and at WDW I can't remember if I took them or not! If not, that could have contributed to my not liking the roller coasters as much.)

We had lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe, so we headed back over that way just in time to see High School Musical. DSis really wanted to see it or we would have passed on this. I never got into that Disney movie for some reason.

After the show, we met up with DBF's parents a the animation studios. (We were looking at all the art and now I really want to go back there so I can get some for my new house!!)

Here, I had a little bit of a meltdown. I was wondering around and saw FroZone out to meet. The Incredibles and FroZone were two characters DBF actually wanted to meet and I was excited to see FroZone out because I thought he was rare. I ran in and asked if he'd be out for awhile and the handler said for a bit more. I tried calling and calling DBF and DSis to come over to meet him and they didn't answer and then I ran over to get them and they refused to come right away. Haha. I wanted them to go "now" and they wouldn't so by the time we got back over there no one was out anymore. I was so mad!

We finished going through the studio and sat through the Mushu video (I think that was here because while it was really cute, I was angry that this was the reason we had missed FroZone! Haha...I needed to eat and DBF reminded me of this when I was pouting!).

After the video, we saw the Incredibles were out so we got in that line which was really short. They were kind of around the corner so I don't think a lot of people knew they were there.

At the end, we saw Sorcerer Mickey and waited in line for him. I think this was the longest character line we waited in all week. (I had a snack while waiting in line, so I felt much better now! I usually carry something small for this reason.)

After we saw Mickey, we saw that FroZone was back out! DBF's parents were tired and wanted to go wait at 50's PTC for us in the air conditioning. We got in line for FroZone (again, it was short!) and he signed my bag and we got our pictures. DBF was happy!

And after all that to meet him, the pictures didn't even turn out that good!

We had a little bit of time to kill before we had to go over for our reservations, so we played in the animation studios. They had these really cool machines that you could do voice overs and stuff on, so we played around on those. They also had some coloring pages and a quiz and stuff you could take.

Here's some videos of what we did. They're hard to hear, but they were pretty fun and killed a good 20 minutes out of the heat.





Up Next: Scoldings and Tickets!

Hopefully, I'll update again by the end of the week. I have two reports due at school this week and DBF's parents are coming in to go to the hockey game, but I should have one by Friday at the latest.

Nice update Irky! I hope the people around Frozone were nicer to you guys than they were to us last year. Those guys and the bouncers for Mulan and Mushu were probably the rudest cm we ran into in the entire place.

I didn't really like any of the new Pixar movies since Nemo either (with the exception of the Incredibles) the first time I saw them, but after watching them all again I really like most of them.

We're going to Hawaii in mid-June after I get out of school. I'm really excited and have most of our activities planned out already. That's part of the reason I had to put my TR on hold. We had budgeted $1,000 each for flights scared1: ) but luckily when we went to book we ended up getting them for around $700 each. (Which I just figured out that I could do 5 days in Disney on a cheap, budgety, driving down trip in August - if I can talk someone into coming with me - for less than we paid for only our flight to Hawaii!) We're flying out of Toronto, though, because it was about $200 more to fly out of Pittsburgh.

How are the wedding plans coming? Is just about everything finalized by now?

Chapter 26 - Scoldings and Tickets

Ok, we left off as we were on our way to our ADR's at 50's Prime Time Cafe.

We didn't have to wait very long once we got over there. Our cousin told us the rules and took our order. No elbows on the table and you must finish everything on your plate. I kept getting scolded for having my elbows on the table. It's how I sit at tables when there's no food there yet. DSis was enjoying my scoldings!

I don't really remember what we ordered. Everyone liked the food though!

DBF cleaned is plate and got a sticker!

I never eat the end of anything so I wasn't allowed to get a sticker even though I tried to put the end of my sandwich on DSis's plate. I stole DBF's sticker later because he didn't want to wear it anymore!

Jack cleaned his plate also!

We looked at the dessert menu in the amazing ViewFinder!

DBF and I decided to get a dessert. The Smores. They were so good! I love Smores, but these were so much better than regular smores!

After lunch we split from DBF's parents again. We decided to watch the parade and got a great spot right on the curb right before the parade started. It was so hot out, though, and there was no shade.

While we were just sitting there and waiting for the parade to start, one of the Streetmosphere officers came over to us and was writing something down as he was giving us dirty looks. The he handed us the piece of paper and told us we had 2 hours to pay. He gave us a ticket!!! A ticket for having too much fun and just for the heck of it. DSis was very amused.

After receiving our ticket and enjoying the Streetmosphere actors a little more, the parade finally started.

I'm not really much of a parade person. I love Spectromagic, though! I won't wait and stake out a spot for parades, but if I'm there and it's almost time, I'll watch it. I liked Block Party Bash, but probably wouldn't sit through it again.

It was cute and very high energy!

Smores were so good!! I could go for some right now, but I don't know how to make them the same way they made them there. They tasted so much better than regular smores!
