Monsieur Paul dinner review 6/11/13

My DH is taking me there for my 55th bday (ON my bday!) in a couple of days on Aug. 15. If he wanted to let the restaurant know this is a bday celebration, how would he do that?

It sounds as though he did not include the information when he made the reservation? If that's the case, I would have him inform the staff when you arrive and check in on the first floor. Or, if you are staying at a Disney resort, stop by the concierge desk and ask if they can help put a note on the reservation.

Enjoy, and happy birthday!!!

When you make an ADR via MDE, there is no place that I have found to note a celebration or make a special request. It is possible to note food allergies and other dietary needs. Is the special celebration field there, and I've missed it?

What a great review. I didn't consider this restaurant when I was making our dining plans because I thought they didn't except the DDP (we will be on the DXDP when we go). After reading the clarification and seeing the wonderful photos of your meals, (plus reading the other menu items) I'm thinking I am going to have to alter our plans (just a bit) so we can dine here :goodvibes.

I did think it was there when I made all our ADRs for this trip via MDE -- does anyone else have any recent experience with this?

Just wanted to let you know that I was reading the menu off to the rest of my family and they all decided that we just had to try MP out on our upcoming trip. Even though I had to sacrifice our Via Napoli ADR for it, I am really excited that we are going to be eating here (this will be our arrival dinner). Just wondering, what is the dress code for this restaurant? Since we will already be in the park when we dine there, should we be dressing for a fancy restaurant or is capris and a nice shirt for the girls and I and nice Khaki shorts and a button up top for DH o.k.?

I was excited to read your MP dining review!! We are eating there in the next couple of weeks and you don't see a lot of reviews here.

I have my eye on the tenderloin but everything looks so lovely!

Sounds as though what you have planned is fine. It is the kind of place where you will definitely see people dressed to the nines, but you also see families who do what you are describing -- dress *up* a bit from standard park clothes. I would say that going in regular park clothes would feel out of place (for our family), and I didn't see anyone in t-shirts/casual shorts when we were there. My DS and DH both wore khakis and polo shirts, and I wore a skirt and nice top.

Enjoy!!!

We were there last night. There was one table totally dressed in park clothes. T-shirts, tank tops etc. everyone else was in one step up from that.

Our meal was delicious!!!!!! I got the escargot ravioli for my app and the lobster app as a main meal. They were both amazing. Loved it.

SO glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, there do seem to always be a table or two of people in park clothes even at the fancier places -- I just know we'd feel a little out of place if we were the only ones rocking the Mickey T's and shorts....
