If we get on the monorail in Tomorrowland and ride it all the way around, how long does it take? And does it have seats or is it standing room only? Is it air conditioned? would it accommodate a side by side double stroller? Just wondering if this would be a good way to get a little rest in w/out having to go back to the hotel...

I don't know about how long it is round trip (maybe 20 minutes? 15?) But there are definitely seats in every car, but you'll have to fold up the stroller to take it onto the Monorail. It was a pain in the butt for me to do that every time. It is air conditioned. It is definitely a great way to take a break without going back to the hotel. So is riding the Railroad around the park!

Do keep in mind that it is not air conditioned, if that matters. Also, if you are just taking it round trip I'd leave your stroller parked. It can be a hassle, especially for a double one, as they do have to be folded.

The DL website says that the round-trip ride is 13 minutes.

We have found that the Animation Building in Hollywood Land is a great place to take a break and cool down.

And we make sure to see Turtle Talk with Crush while we're there.

Everyone has to disembark at Tomorrowland.

not only is there no a/c but it is like 10 times hotter in the monorail than it is outside

We've risen tons if times and have gotten in at tommorowland , there are lots if people that don't have to get off and they didn't make them.

We have rode numerous times, and they ALWAYS make everyone get off at Tomorrowland. AT DTD, they will usually allow you to stay on, however, at certain times they will announce the train is running "one way", which means everyone has to get off, but you can requeue to go back. They announce this before you board in Tomorrowland.

I think it depends on the day and how busy it is. There have been times they've allowed people to stay on for a round trip and there have been times they've said everybody must disembark.

ETA: I was speaking of the DTD station. I agree they make everybody disembark in Tomorrowland.

NO air conditioning as we discovered during last week's heat wave! They made everyone get off at the stops. The ride itself is only a couple of minutes (one way) - not long enough for a "rest". You must be sitting - they don't let you stand so if the seats fill up then you wait for the next train. You have to fold your stroller. IMO it isn't worth getting on if you have a double stroller, and for us the monorail was more of a ride than a mode of transportation. In the evenings we'd leave our double stroller at the DLH (where we were staying), walk to the monorail (really short walk), ride it to Tomorrowland (everything looks neat all lit up when the sun goes down), ride Autopia, and then ride the monorail back. It was the perfect amount of evening activity for a couple of very tired 5yos
