Monorail

Anyone having difficulties getting between sites with the monorail down? Is it only at MK? How are they transporting from parking areas for those renting cars? Or how about between MK and Epcot? We arrive in two weeks and I just heard about the monorail downtime. Any tips would be great.

Buses and ferries between the TTC and the MK for all drivers (not just renters) during the hours the Magic Kingdom monorails can't operate. Ferries are normal.

All other transportation is as always. Not affected by the repair work.

we just got back and I asked at GF about the monorails. They are running all day on the weekends and during the week closed from 11/11:30 am till 7/7;230 pm. We were there on a sat/ sun at VGF and they were running all day.

Went from MK to Epcot on Tuesday afternoon. Took the Ferry (first time!) from MK to TTC then monorail from TTC to Epcot, no problem.

Thanks for the info! Disney has lots of options for travel, but I forgot how much we took the monorail until I realized it wouldn't be running all day.

I think it is down during the day until the end of March.

We were there 1/21 thru 1/25 which was the first week of the MK monorail being down from 11 to 7 every day...I believe weekends were to be included at that point...maybe it's been revised based on crowd levels to not include weekends. We stayed at VGF and for those staying at MK monorail resorts it does present a bit of a transportation issue during the downtime hours. Yes...they did put more boats on, however, there are only so many docks and the boats were needing to sit idling on Seven Seas Lagoon waiting for a dock to open. It took us 1 hour to get from the GF dock to the MK dock....because the boat goes from GF to Poly and then to MK and we had to wait for the dock to open at both the Poly and MK. Buses seemed to be moving a little better during our stay. The TTC to Epcot monorail is not affected at all by the repair work..it is only the Express monorail from TTC to MK and the resort monorail around the MK loop which are being worked on.
