Hi everyone! Planning my first trip in many, many years. The rest of my family have never been before. My ds will be turning 4 on June 21st while we are vacationing. We have reservations at Chef Mickey's that morning and were wondering what park to go to for the day. We have Park Hoppers. We were originally going to do Animal Kingdom. But I thought it would be more fun to take the Monorail to a park right after breakfast. So my question to you is, which parks does the monorail stop at? Is it only MK and Epcot? I think I may have to alter my plans a little now. We are staying at ASMO and I'm not sure when we'll get a chance to hop on the monorail other than this Wed. And since the monorail is one of the few things I remember when going as a child I want my boys to experience it as well.

The monorail from the Contemporary goes to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), the Polynesian Resort, the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and the Magic Kingdom.

If you want to go to Epcot, you need to get off the monorail at the TTC, and switch to the Epcot monorail.

Monorail only goes to MK and EPCOT, bur if you plan on MK it is actually quicker to walk there from the contemporary than taking the monorail.

The monorail has two lines. The main line serves the Magic Kingdom, the Transportation and Ticket Center, and the MK resorts of Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and the Contemporary.....which is where Chef Mickey's is located.
The easiest way to get to Chef Mickey's is to take the MK bus from your resort and hop on the monorail, or take the seven minute walk to the Contemporary. It is quite dramatic the first time you are on the monorail and it approaches the Contemporary since it goes right through the center of the resort.
The other monorail line runs from the TTC to Epcot. If you want to go to Epcot from Chef Mickey's you will have to take the monorail to the TTC and transfer to the Epcot monorail line. The Epcot run makes a dramatic sweep over an area of Epcot Future World before stopping at the station.

If the monorail ride is what you're after, you CAN ride the monorail lines without entering MK or Epcot. Many people made the monorail trip an experience in itself.
