Monorail traveling in the wrong direction....

About a year ago, my dad and I went to EMH at MK. We decided to go back to the GF around 1 in the morning. We got on Black as it sped through the darkness. When we approached the POLY, everyone noticed that the Express MRail was not traveling in the opposite direction as usual. Instead it sped up and appeared as if to almost crash into the Resort Mrail. It contined that way until we met another near the Grand the same way.

It was a summer night. Any one know what happened? I am just wondering cuz that stays stuck in my head.

Were u on the resort monorail or the express?

They could have been conducting tests.

Theoretically the express monorail trains could be all scheduled to go in the opposite direction and the travel times would be about the same. It is possible that such is not practical due to the way the signals are wired.

Reason I'm asking is because i believed near closing time time the MK Express axially travels the opposite direction to the TTC if I remember correctly. So instead of going from TTC straight to MK going through contemporary. It will go the other way around and stop at MK then head back through the CR to the TTC.

I think this is how I remember it from 3yrs ago.

If it was late, I'm wondering if it could've just been them bringing Monorails into the shop at the end of the night. Because of the angle the shop switch connects to the loop, they will run the express loop "backwards" from it's normal direction to bring the trains straight onto the switch.

That's what I am also thinking because in the past when I stayed at the Contemporary and was up late at night, I would sometimes see the Monorail's going in the opposite direction since they were going into the service area for the night.
