I didn't know where to post this so........

I've seen people post about Monorail train sets. What are they? Are they high quality made of metal? If you have any pictures or info I would appreciate it. I might be interested in collecting them.

thanks,

You can buy them at WDW or you can get them on eBay. They are made of plastic and run on batteries, no electrical parts. I is neat looking, but very expensive. If I remember right, they were around $75 when I was there for the monorail and some track. If you want accesories, they are all extra and you can buy extra track for them.

One of the Downtown Disney stores, I think the toy store, has a full monorail set up for you to see. It is really neat to see.

I want to get the whole set up for my Rec Room which is a Disney Theme. The only problem is the cost will be way up there.

Do a search on eBay to see some pictures.... I will post a link if I can find one.

I bought the basic set for my grandsons in 2003. It is so awesome. When you power up the lead monorail car, it says a few lines of the spiel you hear while on the real one!! I get a thrill just listening to it!! Brings me back to my happy place.

I hope to add to it when I'm down in May. I think they would love the Contemporary Resort so they could see the train go right thru it just like at WDW.
