I haven't been to WDW in a "while" (umm... 7 months...::MickeyMo ) Are there any new monorail toy builidings? The ones I am currently aware of are:

Grand FL
Contemp.
Poly
TTC/Switcher
SSE (retired?)

Are there any more new ones that are scaled to that set??

There are tons of cool attractions to go with it! I saw the teaset and maybe the rockets in tomorrowland...dumbo...Other stuff like that. I'm thinking that there aren't any more real "buildings" persay, but there are some really cool accessories for it, and the rides move! (teacups have the mouse coming out of the roof)

They also have the Tree of Life, got it this summer. Now I have the Castle, SSE and ToL. They just have to come out with something from the Studios and I wil have all four park icon play sets with a monorail running around.

Wow! Dh & I were just talking about this the other day! We were wondering if there was anything new since our last visit. Are the rides about the same $$ as the buildings?

How much does this stuff cost? Can you get a monorail to go all the way around a room? Is it like an electric train? Do you guys have your houses decorated with moving monorails and WDW icons? If so........I'm so jealous! I want that stuff! Give me the details! Please!

Kaabost- The monorail is battery operated which gives you alot of flexabilty for layouts. It also talks and says the phrases the real monorail says!!

kaabost~ I think the monorail itself is around $60. Each extra piece comes with enough track to allow room for the new piece. I want to say the extras are around $30-$35. We don't have kids yet, so it usually only comes out at Christmas for under the tree!

lynetteSC is right, the monorail is (was) $60 and it had enough track to build an oval about 3' x 5'. Then you can buy more track that would allow you to expand as much as you want. Any of the attractions that attach to the track like SSE, CR, Poly and GF also include an extra piece to even out the track. Most of the rides are between $25 and $35 and the larger pieces are about $50. Some pieces have been retired like SSE.

Ratpack ~ nice to "meet" a neighbor here!

Glad we bought the SSE last year! I didn't know it is now retired!

Here is a price list as of Apr/May 03 of the attractions they had at that time:

Grand Floridian Resort - $35
Polynesian Resort - $35

Contemporay Resort - $35
Switch Station - $45
Extra Track - $10

Cinderella's Castle - $60
Haunted Mansion - $25
Mad Tea Party - $22
Astro Obiter - $22
Dumbo's Ride - $22
Spaceship Earth - $35
Orange Stinger (DCA) - $22
King Triton's Carousel (DCA) - $22
Sun Wheel (DCA) - $22
Golden Zepher (DCA) - $22
HO Train - $60
Monorail - $60
California Screamin (DCA) - $60
Test Track - $60
Train Station - $40
Curved Track - $10
Accessory Connector - $6

Die Cast Vehicles - $6 - $20
Train Trestle - don't have a price for

My DH is trying to get these too. So far we have the ones in Red. I would love to get the Tree of Life and I definately want the Haunted Mansion. My DH wants the Contemporary, and to get another monorail or two. This way when we get it up or have the room to do it, we will have the three parks.

We just got ours last Christmastime, and bought the Epcot ball (SSE) this summer. I only want accessories that the monorail is actually near! After we stay at the Contemp. we may have to pick that up.
