Monorail to Epcot

We are staying at Bay Lake. It has been a few years since we took the monorail to Epcot. I love riding in past Spaceship Earth but I vaguely remember it taking a long time. How many times would we have to go through the bag check with the new security system? About how long would the whole experience take if we monorail over instead of driving?

You’ll go through bag check in the CR, prior to going up the escalator to the monorail. Then you transfer to the Epcot line at the TTC, and off to Epcot. However, as it stands now, you’ll have to go through bag check again before entering the park.
