Monorail to Epcot at Ropedrop

If Epcot opens at 9am, will I make it to rope drop if I leave on the monorail from the poly?

Don't board the monorail at the Poly station (Great Ceremonial House.)
That would require the very lengthy full trip around Seven Seas Lagoon, with stops at MK and all of the other resorts.
Instead, walk directly to the TTC monorail station and board the Epcot monorail directly from there.

Yep. Board at TTC. For a 9am opening I'd be at the TTC by 8am. You'll have to go through security when you arrive at EP.

FYI, you no longer have to go through security again at Epcot. The only security check will be at the TTC.
