Monorail salt and pepper disaster!!

I can't believe it........my monorail salt and pepper set bought at the costly sum of $6.99 has met with a sticky end.......and no body will own up to it.
I noticed today at the dinner table.....the 'salt train' has several large cracks all over it, and it looks as though it may fall apart any minute. I have it held together with sellotape......not very attractive, but I don't want to use superglue in case it glues the salt!

DH said it was tacky and had an obvious dislike for it.....maybe it was him!!!! I love my salt and pepper set too.............and I know I'll not get another as this one was bought in the Character Warehouse at Belz.......an end of line probably!! I feel sad...........

How about taking the salt out first and THEN superglueing it? Just a thought!

Oh Cath - when I saw the title of your thread I had horrible mental images of the monorail coming off the track and plunging to earth with all its passengers - so I'm sorry but a cracked salt pot seems trivial in comparison!!!

Glad the real WDW Monorail is okay. I know how you feel, I stupidly broke my two Peter Pan mugs during the same week at the beginning of the year. Tried on e-bay and gave up when it reached £15. Checked each time I went into the Disney store. I was so happy to find one on a trip to Bluewater last Friday. I did think that I should have bought two, for when one broke, then thought should have bought three - one for e-bay!

Oh no Cath.... I understand how you feel, I would be gutted if one of my Disney salt and pepper sets got cracked!

I like the superglue idea (without the salt LOL)
