Monorail-Riding In Front

I'm going to the World for my birthday in September:yay:
I would love to ride in the engineer's cabin on the monorail on the way to MK. How early to I have to catch the monorail to be able to get in? Thanks.

Unfortunately, riding in the front of the monorail is currently on hold for the near future.

:sad2:Darn! And the Riverboat is closed, too, just like last time I was there. And there's no SpectroMagic parade on my birthday, just like last time I was there (also on a Wednesday)! I just can't catch a break . . . if you can call spending a day in the Magic Kingdom "not catching a break"

But, if it does happen to be allowed by the time you go back (never know), just go anytime that it's slow. Both times we were going to the hotel for a quick "recharge" and there was practically no one in line. We just asked the guy. They already had someone for the next train but he said if we wanted to wait we could go on the one after that.

I guess I wasn't specific enough. I would like to do it on my way to MK; in other words, early in the morning, before rope drop. Should I be on the monorail, say, 8 am?

We just got back and they are not allowing riders in the front. I am not sure for how long, but that's the way it is for now.
Another thing we noticed was: all but one monorail trip we were on (out of about 50+) they had two employees in the front cabin, a driver and another CM. Not sure for the reasoning behind this, we didn't ask. But it was very noticable if you are an avid Disney visitor.
