I know I should know this, but if you're staying at a monorail resort, does the monorail go directly to Epcot or do you have to stop at the T&TC 1st & transfer to another monorail to get to Epcot?

You'll need to go to TTC and transfer to Epcot monorail.

There are 3 'lines' (for the public):
Express (stops @ TTC & MK)
Resort (stops @ Poly, GF, MK, CR, & TTC)
Epcot (stops @ TTC & Epcot)

You have to transfer to get to EPCOT can not remember but I think you just cross the platform you do not have to walk down the ramp then up the other one.

Is that right? We have always walked down the ramp and up the other one - if there's a cross over, I've never noticed it. Not sure how there would be since the monorail tracks are in the middle I think and the waiting platforms on are on the far sides of both tracks I believe - can't see how you would get from one to the other - you would have to cross the tracks.

The express monorail side has (or had, It's been a while since I've paid any attention) a crossover. For the resort monorail you have to go down the ramp, walk around, and back up to the Epcot monorail.

Once you get off the Resort Monorail at the TTC there is an overhead sign saying which way to the Epcot Monorail and you would go down the right side ramp, which will take you to the Epcot Monorail.

I'm pretty certain, unless something's changed that from the express monorail you can just cross over to the Epcot monorail without going down the ramp.

I could not remeber which monorail it was that would just cross over.

That's correct. There are 3 beams at the TTC - from the left as you face it from the TTC - resort, express, epcot. To get from resort to epcot, you have to go around, there's no way to cross over the express beam.

That's one of the things that bugs me about the monorail...if you use the resort line, you have to get off, go down, back up in order to get the Epcot line. Kind of makes staying at a 'monorail' resort yucky when heading to Epcot.

Personally I never found that to be a problem when going from the Contemporary to Epcot.

If you stay at the Polynesian then you can walk to the TTC very easily and go straight onto the Epcot line. I loved doing this rather than taking the resort monorail loop and transfering.
