Maybe this goes here, maybe not. I'm trying to figure out the whole monorail thing. I haven't been in 15 years and for the life of me can't remember.

How many routes are there? I know there's one from MK to Epcot via the TTC??? Is there one where you can take a tour of the resorts?

TIA

The monorail has two separate loops; the resort loop and the express loop to Epcot. The resort loop travels in one direction from MK to the Contemporary, Polynesian, TTC, Grand Floridian and then back to the MK. If you want to go to Epcot you must exit at the TTC and walk across to the Epcot loop. There are no other stops on the Epcot route. Back and forth between TTC and Epcot. Takes about 12 minutes I think. The monorails do not travel to any other parks or resorts than the ones l mentioned above. You will have to take buses, boats or your feet to get to the others.

You can tour the MK resorts by using the Monorail resort loop which goes to the Poly,Contemporary and Grand Floridian also making stops at the TTC and MK.The Magic Kingdom Express loop just goes back and forth from the TTC to MK and the EPCOT loop is the longest from TTC to EPCOT,it's also the coolest for me since the monorail goes inside the park and gives you a good view especially of Future World.Other nice hotels to tour would be the EPCOT resorts,Boardwalk,Y&B club,Swan and Dophin. To get to these you can take a bus or exit EPCOT in the International Gateway by the UK and you're a 5 minute walk or boat ride away from the Boardwalk and the Y&B club. You can do the same from DHS,walk or take the bus from the front of the park.Other nice hotels are the Animal Kingdom Lodge which is basically only accessed by bus and the Wilderness Lodge, which is close to MK but not on the monorail line, you could bus there or take a boat from the MK.

Express Monorail runs counter-clockwise around Seven Seas Lagoon. It stops only at the TTC and MK. I passes through CR, GF, and Poly, but doesn't stop at those resorts.

Resort Monorail runs clockwise around Seven Seas Lagoon and it stops at all monorail resorts, plus TTC and MK. The stops are MK, CR, TTC, Poly, GF, and MK. You are welcome to get off at any resort and walk around. In fact, this is our first day ritual. We ride the resort loop and stop to walk around, shop, etc..... It is a free way to get into the magic.

Epcot Monorail runs between the TTC and Epcot. If you are at MK or any of the monorail resorts, you must get off at TTC and transfer to the Epcot monorail. As stated above, you get a really cool view of Epcot as you come into Epcot from the TTC. It loops through Future World and back to the station.

Enjoy!

If you want to visit the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian then you need to get on the Resort Monorail since it stops at each of those resorts.

What is TTC? Trying to find the easiest way from Beach Club to MK
The TTC is the Transportation & Ticket Center which is the main area for the Express Monorail to the Magic Kingdom, for those guests that park their cars when going to the Magic Kingdom. They also have a Monorail to Epcot, a Resort Monorail for the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian and a boat which also goes to the Magic Kingdom. Besides that they have direct buses to Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom, plus that's where buses from the offsite hotels dropp off their guests.

When going from the Beach Club just take the direct bus that goes to the Magic Kingdom, which does not stop at the TTC.
