Monorail question

How long does it take to get to Epcot from the CR and vice versa?

You must switch monorails lines to travel to Epcot. Take the monorail to the TTC and then switch to the Epcot monorail line. Trip takes about 10-15 minutes depending on crowds.

I actually think it takes longer. It always seemed to take about half an hour.

I timed the ride on the monorail and it was 8 minutes from leaving the TTC to getting off at Epcot. The ride from the Contemporary is less than 5 so it just depends on the line getting on at the Contemporary and the line at the TTC which we have never seen much of a line at the TTC all the times we have gone.

We were staying at the Polynesian and had reservations at Mexico and they were in 30 minutes. We made it there without running in 18 minutes from our room to Mexico.

Was that walking from the Polynesian to the TTC?

On the return trip, it will take15-20 minutes longer because the resort monorail will go by the Polynesian, GF, MK and then the CR.

Yes it was walking from the Hawaii longhouse. Taking the monorail around would take a lot longer. I video taped the whole walk, trip on the monorail and walk through Epcot and I just took the time from the video tape clock. I was not trying to time it when I first taped it.

Thanks everyone. I think this will help plan our itinerary. So going out we will hit the transportation center first, than Epcot. On the way back it will hit the other monorail resorts before it hits the CR. Does anyone know the time to get back from Epcot to the CR? That would be a big help in planning to come back for our afternoon break.
