Monorail Question

My wife and I have a 7:30AM reservation at the Kona Cafe at the Poly but we are staying at AK. The WDW website notes that the monorail starts operations "one hour prior to the earliest park opening." If one park opens at 8 for EMH, does that mean the monorail opens at 7? My question being, can we drive to the TTC and catch the monorail to the Poly for our breakfast reservation? Or will this not work? Thanks!!

The resort monorail starts at 7:00 regardless.

But if you're going to drive to the TTC anyway, it's faster and easier to just walk to the Poly.

Thank you for that tip! The day we go will be a half EPCOT half MK day so we wanted to have breakfast at a monorail resort and then take the monorail to EPCOT after breakfast and then back to MK after we finish. Or, that's the plan now anyways.

I also suggest walking from TTC to the Poly, and probably even back to TTC to catch the Epcot monorail (unless you're going to MK first).

Be aware that the monorails are opening late Monday thru Wednesday. This is scheduled to continue at least thru sometime in July. The Resort Monorail opens at 8:30 and the Epcot Monorail at 9:00 on those days.

Buses will be replacing the monorails starting at the normal opening times, which are 7:00 for the Resort Monorail and 8:00 for the Epcot Monorail. There will probably be a direct bus from the Poly & other MK Resorts to Epcot until the Epcot Monorail opens.

If you're traveling from Poly to Epcot when the Epcot Monorail is running, you might consider walking back to TTC, since it's about a 15-20 minute ride on the Resort Monorail all the way around from Poly to TTC.
