Does anyone know all the colors that the monorail playsets have been issued in? I have the original RED, and a GOLD from 2006 and am planning on purchasing the GREEN next week. I beleive there is a BLACK and BLUE but not sure.
Anyone know the issued colors?

When I purchased this in 2001 or 2002 I got was the black one, however since then they stopped selling that colour.

Would a girl like this playset? Does it hold up? I wonder if I should get this to go with the castle...from Santa of course?

I bought one for both my neice and nephew last year and it was a HUGE hit with both of them ( kids must take after me  )

They got it for Christmas last year and I asked both of their parents if they still play with it because I want to buy some accessories for Christmas this year. I was told it still gets played with often.

I can help here, the colors are Red, Purple, Black, Gold, Yellow, Blue and Green. Only the green is still available, this one and the blue are the "new" versions with removable doors and roofs, unfortunately a crummy design flaw as they "remove" themselves when you breathe on them, are very small so would be easily lost and of course not fit for small children who could ingest them. Oh, and if you REALLY want the comprehensive list, there are also the powder blue set that cam with the long-retired Golden Gate Bridge Monorail playset from Disney's California Adventure (probably the most coveted of all these sets) and the Paradise Pier Mini Monorail set also from DCA. This one is unique as it's only a 2 car setup, the support beams for the track are half as tall and the cool part, each beam is pre-cut for "connectors" that will activate your rides like Dumbo, Mad Tea party or Astro Orbiter etc. Also the shpeal the voice box says is tailored for DCA. There was also the super rare Silver set that was an LE 250 at the Disneyana convention only in 2002 if memory serves. This usually commands in excess of $500!
You can still find most all of these retired pieces on the secondary market, ask me and I'd be happy to help, I love talking to "newbies" about my favorite collectibles
