Monorail phobia

I too carry a ziploc bag in case I get sick. It started when I had horrible "morning" sickness (that was never in the morning ;)) but continued after pregnancy. It just makes me feel more comfortable that I have a backup.

I think vomiting into a bag is greatly preferable to any other option.

Now poop is a totally different story. I can't figure out how you could go in a bag without inappropriately exposing yourself in public. In that unlikely and highly unfortunate situation I think the best/only option would be to go in your pants.

Honestly if someone pulled their pants down to poop on the monorail, I'd be making sure security was contacted once we were off to deal with the situation.

You know, there are phones in each monorail car, so if there was an emergency, even if stopped, someone could help, no?

Monorail makes me nervous, too - I have a stomach issue that gets worse if I feel trapped, so I'm always a bit nervous when I step onto the monorail. I actually take a garbage bag with me in case I have to get sick or use the bathroom. I've never used it, but it calms me a LOT when I have it on me because I know I'm covered in an emergency. If I don't bring it, I'm very nervous the entire ride.

Imagine my rude awakening when I headed to MK EMH (drove to TTC), and headed towards my beloved ferry - only to find that they only run the monorail on EMH mornings! I hadn't brought my bag, and I was almost sick standing in line until this wonderful CM came by and started chatting with me. Our conversation calmed me down considerably, and I was able to ride comfortably over to MK. I wonder if he saw how distressed I was?

I feel for you. I'd take the ferry over the monorail any day.

You poor thing! I had major anxiety issues like that when I was younger (I still do to a point, but not so bad) and have been in some truly embarrassing situations as a teenager because of that.
Now that my anxiety isn't as bad, I deal with the same problems because of medical reasons - my gallbladder was removed 2 1/2 years ago, so I get sick ALL THE TIME when I eat fast food/restaurant food (anything greasy, buttery, fat, or even plain lunch meat that probably wasn't kept cold enough). I live on immodium at Disney to survive and always come home several pounds lighter, since I'm afraid to eat unless I'm near my room. It sucks so bad. :(

I've been to WDW 4 times and (knock on wood) have never been stuck on the monorail. Stopped for a few moments/minutes, yes, but never truly stuck.

After reading this thread, I'm nervous to ever step foot on it again!

Also...why do I feel like every other thread on this board gets turned into a discussion about bathrooms/bathroom habits... ;)
