Hi! Where does it stop along the way? Would the best way to DL be to walk to monorail then get off in Tomorrowland- from DLH?

There are just two stops, one at Downtown Disney and one in Tomorrowland. However, I just read last night on another forum that they will be shutting down the monorail from October 24 until November 4 to do work in California Adventure nearby where the rails run. Don't know it if's true or not, when I checked Disneyland's website it didn't say anything, but be warned, whether it's true or not, that the Monorail can go down at anytime for any length of time (breakdowns, what have you) so you can't necessarily rely on it for transportation. We're going November 5 so IF it's currently shut down, I sure hope that the schedule stated holds true!

Oh Rats!! We're arriving on oct 28th and leaving on the 1st so looks like it might not be running when we're there. I always enjoy doing my loops around TL and was looking forward to seeing the Nemo construction work. Oh well. Hopefully it will be back up.

Sorry. I just edited my post to say Oct 24-Nov 4, because I had originally written that they shut it down yesterday (October 7)...at any rate, some of the buzz is that it's to keep people from spying on the Nemo work, but since they just started pretty recently I can't imagine they'd be doing anything all that significant during those days. Potentially it's for work on the Millionaire building in DCA, which is close to the Monorail. At any rate, bummer for those of us that will be there during the temporary closure.

Also it got behind the Monsters Inc attraction that is being put in the old Super Star Limo builiding.

The monorail was running yesterday (10/8). According to monorail CMs, they may be going bi-directionally during the time when they're working on whatever in DCA--meaning the monorail will exit DL the same way it enters normally. They can still run two trains--one will simply back up towards DCA after it drops off it's passengers so the other can come in, drop off and pick up. Then the first will pick up and they'll basically do the same in Tomorrowland. They did this before, when they were working on that portion of the track during the building of DCA.

Awesome news!! That is a great idea to keep it running like that. Thanks for letting us all know. I was just thinking this morning how construction "timelines" are never right. I thought for sure it would be out of order when we are going to be there! Woo hoo!!

Thank you Jen for the information. I want to ride ride the monorail while I am there. Only 17 days until I am there!

I really hope it's running when we are there. My husband had back surgery ealier this year. He can't really walk for long periods of time. The monorail will be a big help.

only 20 more day. wooo hooo :Pinkbounc
