Monorail hours changed-experiences?

Hi! We're heading to WDW in 10 days. I've read about the changes to the monorail hours for the MK beam http://www.wdwinfo.com/news/General_Disney_News/Change_in_hours_for_Walt_Disney_World_monorail.htm

Because Epcot is our boys' favourite park, we're staying at the Yacht Club and I suspect this won't impact us too much. However, we will definitely be heading over to the MK.

We've always loved the monorail because it's so easy with our son's wheelchair. I'm assuming the boats that are being used are the big ones and OK for the w/c?

Has anyone had any experience with the changes?

Th internal posting only shows the restricted hours from March 2 through (and including) March 13. It shows normal operation from March 14 forward.

I think only the resort loop has the changes not the one from TTC to MK. The ferry boat is the choice of my 2 daughters in wheelchairs since they push themselves and the hill is steep. The boat is also easier since all you have to do is roll on and not wait for someone with a ramp.

Thanks! Sounds like the ferry will work well for us. I guess the other choice is the bus directly from the YC (where we're staying)...fingers crossed there's room for another w/c! We had some issues with no more w/c spots available last time when we used buses.

Service is suspended on both the Resort and Express beams. Only the Epcot beam will be working between 11:30am and 6:00pm during this period.
