As previously stated, the Blue flag motor launches on Bay Lake serve the WL, CR and FWC - they do not go to the MK.

Well yeah...I kinda saw that it was previously stated....obviously I hadn't been paying attention when I got off the boat at CR...just curious as to whether or not that had always been the case. Guess I didn't make that clear!

"Always" covers a very long time and a lot of past dockings by WDW Watercraft - I've been piloting WDW watercraft since '98 and I've never seen this occur....except...on an extremely rare occasion (like once every 3rd leap year it's that rare) under very special circumstances when a motor cruiser carrying guests would stop at the CR before heading back to the MK.

Cruisers also dock at the CR when a new Watercraft pilot is being trained to operate the boat and, under normal training protocol, the crusier is not carrying guests at that time.

***So, simply put and to avoid a lot of potential confusion, it is best to bet and count on the fact that there is no boat that goes from the CR to the MK.

The good news is that ANY of the four choices is likely to get you there in about 30 minutes; an hour is perfectly safe for an ADR.

Your best bet for consistency is the resort monorail (MK-Contemporary-TTC-Polynesian). Yes it is slower than the express monorail (MK-TTC) but most people go for the express monorail, and you may have to wait for the second or third train.

The resort launch (MK-GF-Poly) is small and I would not rely on it when Wishes is over because it will fill quickly. If you see it at the dock or nearly there, by all means hop on it. But waiting for it, especially in a long line, is not your best choice. Waiting for the launch to come back a second time is the worst scenario of the four.

The (large) ferry (MK-TTC) is OK if there is not a huge herd of people already in line. It holds several hundred, but you will not want to wait for the second run if you can avoid it.

The ferry or the express monorail will take you to the TTC. It is a short 5-minute walk to the Polynesian from there, and even in the dark you can't get lost! (Turn right/west, and follow the road.) So don't be afraid of the options that take you there.

Notes: The Wishes show lasts about 15 minutes (the sound track is 12:31.) Depending on where you watch, it may take you 10 minutes to walk to the exit.

It's a courtesy hold, not a reservation. If you show up early, you will eat early. When you show up (check in) at the restaurant they will put you on a list. If you show up an hour early, right on time or half an hour late, they will put you on the list.

Well, I have not seen that to be true. I recently saw a family turned away from LeCellier because they were over an hour late.

I have also seen a family told that since they missed thier reservation they would be on standby... So if you show up TOO late all bets are off.

(And this thread reminds me of why the monorail is overrated... LOL! Everyone thinks it's wonderful to stay on the monorail but ....)

At the SciFi Dine In we wanted to change our reservation to a half hour later, they said they could not but said Just show up late, you will be seated.

That was two years ago (2005) and I also believe if you are too late, all bets are off.
