If there is a new DVC Monorail resort how much do you think the price/point would be?? Will Disney impose minimum Point/contract. I think a monorail DVC could be somewhere in the $110/point range. I don't think there will be any real incentives either. The demand for a Monorail DVC is soo great I think Disney can relax and not even do much in terms of selling. I think it will also sell out in record time.

If the latter is true then you'd better rethink your price.

The "premium" for a monorail resorts should be reflected in the points-per-night price, not the price-per-point. If you charge lots more per point, you are just setting yourself up for conflict. The folks paying the huge premium for points will only want to use their points at their home resort; meanwhile other DVC memeber will be dying to stay there.

Oh my, I think of the song "Born too Late" and I think my song would be "Born too Early" to enjoy my DVC!

Life to the fullest, heck, I would buy it!!!

Bobbi :goodvibes

I guessed $120...you have too figure it is a year or 2 away...but I think could easily get to $130. You have to imagie that it will be a small resort, so points will be limited and sell out quick.

I agree. I don't think the per point price will reflect a huge increase. I do think that it will be more expensive per night, perhaps up in the 16-18 point per weeknight mid-season range for a studio. I would not be surprised at all to see a 1 bedroom reserve at around 350 pts per week.

I can't imagine people paying a huge premium for a certain resort and not wanting to stay anywhere else :rotfl: . OKW vs BCV is already a good example of this where people pay $20 more per point in the resale market. If you want to guarantee your stay at that monorail resort you will need to make sure you buy there, hence explaining the higher cost of the initial purchase, not to mention the $10 per point maintenence fees that go along with it (running the monorail is not cheap from what I understand). I also agree that the points per night will also be a bit higher, probably in the 25%-50% higher range than the current resorts to keep the SSR rif-raf (like me) out. :lmao:

What is everyone going to do if the DVC monorail resort is not the one everyone expects? What if it is GC in DL? Could very well happen. :confused3

I agree a monorail resort would be convienient, but they would likely feel that the Board walk and beach club offer a close enough link....

But it would be great

Great input especially about the higher point/per night cost and maintenance fees.
