We leave for the DLR in about an hour which will put us there around 7 hrs later (give or take) :yay: I think I read someone's report that the monorail is/was down recently. Just wondering if anyone has any updated info?

When we were there on Friday, it was running.

This is what MiceAge reported Friday:

This past week it was a common thing to wait 20-30 for one trip aboard the Monorail. With the entire fleet suffering from mechanical issues, only one Monorail is usually on the track. They have begun to rotate between Orange and Blue Monorails with Monorail red apparently being totally out of commission until the end of the summer. Add DCA Golden Gate Bridge construction activity and we are probably in for a long stretch of Monorail-mania. If you must ride the Monorail, be patient, it is likely to be a long wait.

At the park now. Saw Blue today, Orange and Blue yesterday. They seem to run less often though, I assume they would be busy without actually riding.

Sometime, IIRC late May early June they discoverd a problem with the Monorial and have been working on them since. So at time only some or none of them have been running all summer. I asked some of the CM's about it and said it sounds like unplanned maintnance and was told that was a good way to put it but not offered any details on what the actual problem is. Though I did notice a pilot reporting some problems to the crew and while in the cab he seemed to be concentrating on something rather than simply gliding through the sky.

Arrived this evening and took the monorail twice, from DTD and back again at 11:00 pm. Smooth and prompt :)

Boarded the monorail yesterday (Sunday) into the park at about 1:00 or so and there was no line and the wait wasn't long. We road Monorail Blue.

I think I just read that the monorail wouldn't be running until 10am during the week due to DCA construction, normal weekend hours.

It was down off and on this last week. Sometimes there were some 20-30 minute waits but we had no problems. They were only allowing on and off's.
