I confused :confused3 how does the monorail work at DL?? I have to get off and get back on ???? I can't just sit on it and ride round trip? What are the stops and are they all working now?? TIA.

The monorail has two stops, one in DTD, very close to the DLH and the Rainforest Cafe. The other stop is in Tomorrowland, inside the park. You have to have a park ticket to ride the monorail since it goes inside DL. As far as I know, at this time, you cannot ride it around the loop without getting off. This has something to do with the Nemo Sub ride construction, maybe someone can be more elaborate with their answer! Both stops are working and have been all along. Its very easy to use and figure out, nothing like WDW's with its stops at all the hotels and the TTC etc. This monorail is more of a ride than a method of transportation. Although it can come in very handy to save some steps if you work it right and end your day in Tomorrowland and are staying at the DLH or PP.

Another difference is that there is no standing on DL's monorail, only seating. So once the seats fill up, no more allowed to board. You also have to fold up your stroller and ECCV's are not allowed. The trains themselves are smaller and not as tall.

Hope that helps a bit!

Well, from my experiance, they only kick people off if the ride is full. So if there are a lot of space left, they just let you stay on.

In normal operating mode, if you board in Tomorrowland, you can ride roundtrip. If you board in Downtown Disney, it's one way to Tomorrowland.

Last I heard the Monorail was still in shuttle mode which means it goes back and forth on one half of the track. Regular mode is a sort of circle, and the Monorails all go in one direction. The Nemo ride construction was blocking one part of the track, so instead of closing completely, they use half the track.

In shuttle mode, you can only ride one direction. But at Downtown Disney it's rarely crowded. So you get off, go down the exit, and come back up the entrance and get back on.

The monorail is back in normal operation as of sometime last week (at least by last Thursday). This means that you can ride it round-trip again.

ECV's are allowed. I rode the Monorail in March on my ecv. They have at least one car (maybe more I don't know) that the door is wide enough to drive in and they are able to fold up the seat so the ecv fits. Thight fit but it fits! :)
