There's a wide variety of ways to make cash, if you think about it. I don't know how old you are, where you live, or what situation you're in, but here's a few suggestions off the top of my head:
Babysitting - I know, i know, it's most people's worst nightmare - i'm really not a big fan of kids at all, and i would dread doing it, but the money is an incentive! Some parents will pay well in order to get out of the house for a night!
Yardwork/Odd Jobs - People are so busy these days, sometimes you just can't always seem to get the leaves raked or the garden weeded or the fence painted. You'd be suprised at the odd jobs people need to get done but can't find the time! Just ask around, neighbors, relatives, friends...
a "Job" - Yes, it's a scary thought i know, i know... actually having a set schedule working set hours, having a set way in doing what you're being paid to do... but it's seems soooo worth it on Pay Day!! I've been working a "Job" since i was a sophmore - i worked at a hardware store and now a sandwich shop... These things just sort of fell into my lap - if i went out looking for a job specifically for me, i don't think i would have found these, but i've met some of the most amazing people through these... PLUS you learn a lot about people, about what you're doing, and suprisingly, about yourself. Plus, having a big, fat, paycheck every (or every other) week gets you to learn a bit more about money and how to conserve it.
Don't limit yourself in looking for this kind of job. Try Food Places (Though, i don't advise fast food joints!!) like an "over the counter" place or even sit down... Try Retail - the options are endless! Clothing shops, Grocery Stores, Hardware stores... things like that... You could also try other services like a Flower Shop (i think that would be SUCH a cool job!!)...
A way to CONSERVE your money is to buy what you need, and don't spend extravagently! I understand that every now and then you need to see a movie with friends and that's okay, but going out to see a movie ever week gets pricey. When you're shopping, buy things that will LAST - things that won't break/wear out, things you won't get sick of once the 'trend' is over, things that won't sit in the bottom of your closet for all eternity, things that you won't regret buying later...
So, those are a few suggestions for getting/saving money!! I hope i helped a little!! As i said, i don't really know your situation at all! Good luck, hun!!
