money questions and the 5k

hi all

two questions - i want to try the castaway cay 5k - how soon after i get onboard do i have to sign up? does it fill up the first day??

and i'm going on the western caribbean (grand cayman, couzemel and jamaica) do i need to get country specific currency for gratuities on the port adventures or is american currency accepted?

I don't think that the 5K fills up...I have seen people registering same day for it. We always register early so we don't have to mess with it later on.

I'd just register when you walk by the Port Adventures desk. That will likely happen your first day at some point, so you might as well just take care of it.
