Money in FL/WDW?

We charged the room to our credit card, carried some cash and mostly travellers cheques. Only had a problem once trying to cash one. It was on our way home at a fast food restaurant in Pennsylvania. The cashier did not want to take it (even though it was in US dollars) because it was issued from a Canadian Bank.

In Florida, I always cashed as many as I thought I would need for the day at our hotel's front desk.

Interesting you say that, Peigirl - that was only only weird experience with traveller's cheques too - a fast food outlet in Pennsylvania REFUSED to take them, and did not take credit cards - at that point (on our way home from WDW) we actually did not have enough cash to pay for the food, so had to leave it there...I would think the outlet would have been better off accepting our tc's.
