The best souvenir for the money, hands down, are Mickey/Minnie ears!! We got them for $13 last year, nothing too fancy, but very traditional. They love them.
Target had some last year... a pack of 5 different cars with different characters on them. I also got him some Disney Racers. They are more expensive but my DS plays with them all the time. The Laughing Place store and other websites that sell Disney merchandise have them but I think I ordered from amazon.com. Can't remember.
We buy all our shirts from disneystore.com. We get them and save them for our trip. We dont give them to the kids until the trip. We go to dollarstores buy ,ponchos, light up stick that glow in the dark, candy, any thing u can thnk of. We do this every couple weeks until or vacation, so it doesnt break the bank. First morning the kids wake up ,,"tinker bell" brings all the goodies from disneystore to them.
Now they see the shirts and stuff in the park but they already have it. Then we get them one souv, from each park around $20-$30. and we get one ice cream a day. This is how we do it with out breaking the bank! Good Luck and have fun!
