I am going on my honeymoon in December and I was wondering how much money I should budget for meals. I am going to be there the 14th through the 19th.

Thanks

What are your plans?

Extensive in park touring or plenty o' room service?;)

On our 8-10 day trips to WDW we usuall spend around $300-$350 per person. We also just eat cereal or fruit for breakfast, have a full service meal for lunch and counter service for dinner which in the parks with an occaisional dinner at one of the Disney resorts. I think you could get by with about $175 - $225 per person at Disneyland.

It will depend on what or where you plan to eat, if you are going to be doing counter service plan on $10 - $15 per person per meal. If you are going to be eating at table service either in the parks or DTD plan $20 - $25 per person per meal, more if you drink alcohol.

I would plan on about $125 per day, assuming 2 meals at counter service and one at a table service and one snack per day. There are ways to cut down this cost, eating off site, sharing meals, eating breakfast in your room (muffins, pastrys etc you bring with your or buy at local market)

My rule of thumb is ( per person) $8 for breakfast (counter service, sit down $15), $10 for lunch (for counter service, sit down is $15) and $20 for dinner (sit down). If you do counter service for beakfast and lunch every day that would be $8 plus $10 plus $20 which is $38 per day, per person. Multiply that by the number of days, in your case, 5. That gives you a total for two of $380. So I'd budget $400 to give you some wiggle room for snacks or an especially expensive meal. If you plan on more sit down meals for breakfast or lunch, increase accordingly. Have fun!

I use the same system but am a little cheaper just because i know our habits and we are not huge eaters.
$5 breakfast
$10 lunch
$20 dinner
$35/person/day
