I'll be flying to Florida with Monarch Airways in Premium economy at the end of August. I'm really looking forward to it but I just want know is there anyone here that has flown in Premium economy on Monarch?

I know that I'll get more leg room, free drinks and my own tv screen. I just want to know what its like thats all. If anyone has any experiences in PE, please let me know.

We flew Monarch Premium Economy to Luxor a few years ago and it was excellent, well worth the extra cost.

We flew to Canada 5 years ago in PE with Monarch, I have to say it was very good and there upgrade costs are not as steap as some of their rivals. Sorry I can't rember what the TV situation was like, but I can't rember being bored on the 10 hour flight so they must have been good :lmao:

Sounds awesome. Sounds like I'm gonna enjoy my 8 hour flight to Florida. This is gonna be my first time in PE and I can hardly wait :hyper:

Is PE on Monarch the same as regular economy on Virgin? Just curious, I'm not seeing many perks!

It looks like that the seat back tv's are not standard in economy, blankets and pillows and free drinks and free use of headsets are also listed as a benefit! So it looks like the only benefit to flying PE with Monarch as opposed to VA economy is the wider/bigger seats and sep cabin...hopefully its nothing like as expensive as VA!

Manarch's PE is a lot cheaper than Virgins and as you would expect not a plush, but as they say you get what you pay for in life :)

We are flying P.E with them in September, we usually fly p e with Virgin and i am not expecting it to be as good as Virgin but the staff onboard surely cant be as bad as Virgin crew.:thumbsup2

The upgrade cost me and the family over £140 each.

that is way cheaper then VA..worth it I'd say for the extra leg room and space. VA is pushing £400 each:scared1: Works out next to nothing per mile;)
Personally I never use the ife anyway so thats not a big factor for me..enjoy:)

Blimey. Is it really that much? Its a good thing I'm going PE on Monarch. At least I'll have extra leg room so I can get a decent kip on the plane back.

Does anyone know what the films list is for Monarch's in-flight entertainment for the end of August?

I've asked them and they've given me a list of what is on both my outbound and inbound flights.

Outbound:
We Bought a Zoo
Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
Chronicle
The Descendants
Journey to the Centre of the Earth
Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Inbound:
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Tooth Fairy 2
J.Edgar
Joyful Noise
Rio
(500) Days of Summer

I'm looking forward to this flight already :hyper:
