We went with misty and were lucky enough to lock in last years prices, we are just going for the cd only option as we are from the UK we dont want to worry about an album beign posted overseas etc

If you do that MK photoshoot, do you have to use the disney photographers? Or could we have our photographers from the wedding, do it for them? I was just wondering because for how much it cost, we dont seem to get too many pictures from disney. Oh and if we do get to use our own photographers, is there a fee?

I confirmed with DFTW and with Randy that ONLY Disney photographers can do the Magic Kingdom Portrait Session. No outside photographer.

My colors that I am sticking with for the wedding is a the pink you see on the dress, a semi deep green color, and then chocolate brown.

Here is the dress that my maid of honor and bridesmaid.

Here's what were hoping for the Grooom and Groomsmen, we just hope that someone in our family will end up going to the philippines to get it for us. It's a traditional formal wear from the Philippines, so were going to have it as apart of our wedding.

The color of the embroidery will be different for each of the guys in the wedding party. The groom will have a tan/light gold color, the groomsen will have a green color, and the ringbearer will have a pink color to match the ladies in the wedding party.

Where did you ladies look for flowergirl dresses? I am having a hard time looking for dresses for the flowergirls. I know david's bridal has some but i can't justify asking parents to pay 80 to 110 for a little girls dress that more then likely they will only wear once.

As for your hotel block, I will add that I love the French Quarter. I've stayed there as well as Coronado Springs - both resorts are very lovely. What I appreciated more about FQ was after a busy day in the parks, it was so nice to come back to a quiet resort that wasn't too big in size - short walk from room to anywhere (lobby, food, pool, etc). It is very lovely and quite romantic. We're planning on going back soon.

The men's shirts you are looking for are very nice. A friend of mine is also from the Philippines and her husband also wore one of these shirts to their wedding in Vegas. I believe her mom got it for her in the Philippines. I wonder if you could look into ordering one on-line?

Thanks so much, yeah we were going back and forth for a time with Coronado Springs and FQ, Even though we sent in the room block, I think were going to change it around. We'll see, that part is also up to my DF. But yeah those can be ordered online, but they are EXPENSIVE! When you go to there you can get them made for about 20 to 30 bucks, while online they are 70 to 120 bucks. so thats why we are hoping a family member will be going to there soon. but if not we'll order online and just have to deal with the cost.

Thanks so much for the suggestion. I have went on the website to get a quote. So I guess you can say NO, we havent made up our minds about photographer. I dont know why it's so hard to choose one, but I guess I just want to make sure our pictures will look good. Especially since i've always been the person that takes a million pictures during vacations and special occassions. I will keep everyone posted when we finally do pick a photographer.

Well at the start of this whole process, we thought that we would have about 60 guest. However, after looking through our guest list at talking with guest, it sounds like we will have more then we expected.

So what happens if we have more guest then what we told the coordinator? Does that effect our room block? Will we have to redo our room block?

I was really hoping that we'd have less then 60, but hmm.. what can you do? all our guest are family members, and there's only 10 guest that are friends of ours.

We upped our room block - we were hoping for 50 - sent Save the Dates to about 75 and have been getting good responses. I want to make sure that we have enough room blocked so people attending our wedding get the discount.

is it possible for disney to just send us a couple more so that way we can send them to certain people first, and then go on to send the rest of the save the dates to other guest? i know it might sound bad, but we just seriously gotta get our guest count in order.

we really want to cut our list, but we just have a big family. and i am starting to get to the point where i could care less, as long as our wedding party is there, along with our parents, and a few other guest, it doesnt matter if the rest show up, but we do have to invite the rest. Especially because it would be wrong to invite some and not the other. My mom side of the family alone, has 12 brothers and sisters, and so that means on big old family since half of her brothers and sisters, now have kids that have kids of their own.. ahhh sorry, just getting frustrated with guest count.

Depending on the age of the kids, you could look into throwing a kids party while you have your reception. I don't know if the kids would count as wedding guests then. If they don't count as wedding guests, it will keep your room minimums down.

tomorrow i am heading off to mail our letter of agreement off to DFTW. then we will be one step closer to our wedding. what happens after that??

The majority of our guest have not been to Disneyworld.. i know it's hard to believe, but it's true, they have not been there. So now it's like they want me to book everything for them.. I mean we haven't even booked everything yet, since we are waiting to hear from the coordinator/planner that we are set and it is no longer a hold on the date and event location.

I was wondering if Disney has a list of ministers that they recommend for their weddings? If so when or how do I get that list?

OR better yet, do you wonderful brides/grooms have any suggestions? I'd like to have someone whos open to adding in a small cultural tradition that we do in Filipino weddings. That's really our big concern is making sure that we find someone that doesnt have things set in their ways of how to hold a wedding, and be able to add this part in for us.

Disney will send you extras - we got ours about 2 weeks ago and we must have gotten at least 10 extras. As we find out some people will definately not come we might send out a few additional to some people that we would like to invite but did not want to go over our numbers. We are having our phone planning session this Monday and once we have a better idea of the $$$$ we might up our number a few also.
