Monaco, Monte Carlo and Eze DCL excursion

We did this excursion in 2010. I enjoyed it. While we didn't have a lot of time in Eze, we had a really nice lunch there. We were seated with the onboard lecturer and his wife.

The weather that day was very nice. But there is a lot of walking, especially in Monaco (uphill). We went in the cathedral there and saw Princess Grace and Prince Rainer's tombs.

In Monte Carlo we went to the "downtown" area for a snack (ice cream & drink) then had free time. Some people went to the casino (I think there's something like a $5.00 charge just to go in. We just walked around and took pictures. We also visited an open market near the beach for about an hour.

Not really part of the tour, we saw the Onassis yacht on the way back to the ship. Our guide had the driver pull over and stop so we could take pictures of it.

We did also. It all depends on the tour guide. We had a tour guide when we were on a RCL cruise and we went to Capri. She was brutal and rude....and she was an American transplant. Worst we ever had....:scared1:

The excursions aren't ran by Disney, just contracted through them. Unfortunately they can't control the tours, but they can choose to use them in the future.

We had issues with a tour with NCL. Guide was rude. She left tour members without a second thought. It was miserable.

We also had issue with a tour while on Disney. We did complain. Disney did contact the tour company and we were compensated $60 which was the price for one person on the tour.

We did this tour on the June 1 cruise, and I agree that is was not that good. For us though, we felt our tour guide was not very good. He just dropped us off a couple of times and on the Eze part, told the participants to go walk up the area and be back at the bus. Me and another gal just sat and had a coffee as it was pouring rain and we didn't feel like it. Our other tours were great, but I believe the tour guide can make all the difference too.
