That's what we did this time, but my sugars started getting wonky at about 22 weeks and we knew from there diet alone was not going to help.
We are very happy for our princess to join us but this will be the last one for me.

I was able to keep mine under control last time with just diet. I thought for sure I'd be put on insulin towards the end because I was diagnosed with GD so early (10w). HOping I can do the same again this time!

Wow, it's been quiet around here!

Had our gender scan today and we are having ANOTHER BOY!! Three sons, a husband and two male Boston Terriers...I am SO out numbered! LOL! We are excited. It'll be much easier having to little boys so close in age than a boy and a girl. At least that's what I think.

Also found out that I have an anterior placenta, which explains why i haven't been feeling much movement. It was such a relief to find that out because I was really starting to get worried about not feeling much!

Yay for another boy!! I'm thrilled that I basically need to buy diapers. Beyond that...I don't know that we're going to need to spend much!! I do think we'll be in the wrong season for a few things, but overall, we should be good. I can remember telling DH when we were first talking about trying again that I would be sad not to have another boy because I loved how precious DS was in some of his little boy outfits, and I wanted to see them in use again!

Just remember-you're just remaining queen of your castle. That's what I keep telling people when they point out that I'm outnumbered!

As a note on me, I had a scare last week in that I absolutely could not keep enough breath to get around, and my heart rate wouldn't slow, even when I was resting. I went in, and wasn't sure what to expect. It turns out that my asthma (which has been worse this pregnancy) was part of the problem. I also apparently have reflux, which I haven't had any symptoms of, and it feels totally different to asthma sufferers. I'm on zantac twice daily for the remainder of my pregnancy. While I'm far from being back to 100%, I have noticed a big difference. My nausea that has been a constant companion is also fading. I go in for my regular visit on Thursday.

Well, I'll chime in. I had my first appointment/ultrasound yesterday. There's definitely something in there, although not particularly baby-like as yet. And just one (thankfully). It did wave a stubby little appedage at us at one point. Everything else seems to be on schedule and there's no negative indications as yet, so I certainly have nothing to complain about.

Otherwise, I have dubbed this the "boring trimester".

Courtney, we are excited to be having another boy, even though the thought of 3 boys is a bit overwhelming! I gave away all of Liam's 0-3 months clothes to my secretary's daughter because I thought we were done! So I will need that. Some of our seasons may not be right either, but I'm hoping it'll be good enough! I'm still debating about a double stroller. Think I'm leaning towards NOT getting one, but still unsure.

The biggest thing we will have to do this summer is switch the kids' rooms. Right now, Colin (our oldest) has the bigger of the kids' bedrooms, so he will switch with Liam so that Liam and the baby can share the bigger room. Thankfully DH is a teacher so he'll have plenty of time to take care of that!

Glad you are feeling better. Must have been very scary!!

Congrats on your first appointment! That first ultrasound doesn't show much, but it is comforting to know that something is in there! Hope you have been feeling well.

Has anyone starting looking for a swimsuit? I need to find one because we are going to the beach the first weekend in June. I tried on a few, but to get it big enough to fit the ****s, it is HUGE everywhere else. I"m not sure what to do. I need a tankini due to stretch marks...3 babies have taken a toll! I'm just not sure what to do or where to look.

This is why I don't want a girl!! Sometimes I get frustrated shopping for DS because there isn't much for little boys...or it's all the same thing. But then I think about how much money I'm saving! LOL!

Welcome!! A water birth! Wow!! I've seen that on A Baby Story once or twice. My DH would pass out! LOL! He can barely make it through a hospital delivery and he just stays at my head!

Thanks for the welcome! :) My husband keeps telling me he is going to pass out, but I have my sister on smelling salt duty! :rotfl2: We do have a backup plan at the nearby hospital in case any complications arise, but so far, all has been well. I hit 26 weeks tomorrow! Woo-Hoo!

well I had this great post all typed up and then the DIS went down right as I went to post it. Now I don't have time to write it all up again and I'm pretty peeved!!!!!!!

Summary is that my placenta moved up, so that is great news! We have lots to do. Have furniture (well, half of it) and getting rest next week. Gotta paint. Haven't begun to work on the nursery!

This is the theme we chose. I love it!

Cute theme! My oldest picked the lambs and ivy Team Safari for Liam. We'll be using that again for the new baby since new baby and Liam will be sharing a room. I plan to add a few things, though, that we didn't get for Liam.

Still having the hardest time coming up with a name. We can't agree on anything!

Hello all!

12 weeks yesterday so feeling a bit more confident :)

We are having twins & their due date is Oct 29 but my dr said he will be happy if we make it into the month of October.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone & sharing this experience :lovestruc

I am joining too after spending two years TTC!

I have an October due date as well - Oct. 20. Good to see you here Skip2MyLou!

I'm glad to read we aren't the only ones struggling with names! DH and I had a hard time agreeing on the 1st boy's name, and the 2nd one is even harder!! Middle names are also giving us a hard time. My mother passed away almost a year ago, and I'd like to honor her in some way...EDS has DH's grandfather's name as a middle name (he passed away while I was pregnant with EDS). DH is now thinking he would like to have YDS have his name for a middle name, which would exclude my side of the family from the naming, which isn't going over well with me. My mom's maiden name would make a pretty good middle name, so I'm pushing for that. It's a way to honor her that's not feminine (because Sandra-her first name-and Lynn-her middle-aren't exactly going to work for a boy!).

We haven't even considered nursery themes, even though I'm 24 weeks. Mainly because I'm insane, and decided to sell our house and move to a different one while pregnant. We close on both houses in the middle of next month, so until we're in there, we aren't even really thinking about it. I don't recommend trying to sell a house and move while pregnant! I get so upset over every little thing. Our buyers are driving me nuts, and I have called and complained about our loan processor already (in my defense, I called her THREE times and didn't get a call back and needed something urgently). So...yeah. Don't know what we're doing about a theme. At all. DH thinks we should just use the stuff from EDS. Not sure how I feel about that. I loved it, but I'm a little sick of it now. We'll see how I feel after we move, I guess!

I'm feeling better now that I'm taking zantac twice a day. Definitely not at 100%, and definitely not as good as I felt with my other pregnancy. I get a pain under my belly if I stand too long, but it goes away after I sit for a few minutes. I have a fairly intense day of work tomorrow, with lots of standing, so I'm dreading that. I'll be ducking out when I can to sit!!

Seems like today is the day to join this thread!

We're due on September 7th, after about 2 years of TTC. We are super excited and can't wait to take baby to WDW (I already started a pre-trip report, even though we have nothing nailed down yet!)

We will hit 20 weeks this Friday and have our anatomy scan that afternoon. I can't believe we're already halfway and will be able to find out if we have a prince or a princess on the way!

Looking forward to following along on everyone's journeys!

Welcome!! TWINS!! How exciting! My cousin had twins. Was due in January some time but had them right before Christmas. Twins run in our family and I was terrified I'd end up with them! LOL!

Welcome and congratulations!! Love seeing IF/TTC graduates!! Took us 4 years for DS#2 and then we were surprised with DS#3! Hope you have a smooth and uneventful pregnancy! My birthday is October 18th. :)

Congrats and Welcome!! We are pretty close. I'm due August 25th! Can't wait to hear what you're having. Seems like everyone I know is having a boy!

COURTNEY: DH and I are just completely opposite when it comes to names. Even the "okay" names on our list, we like different ones better than others. The only name we both sorta agree on is Jake, which DS recommended. I'm just not 100% sold on it. Middle name will definitely be Vincent, after my grandpa that passed away almost a year ago.

I can't believe you are moving!! You brave woman!! Glad to hear you are feeling better, though. :)

thanks, I love Lambs & Ivy...nice to see you picked from them as well.

Sounds like you have some work to do, but DH being off soon will help!

WE CANNOT agree on a name either! A boy name was so easy (we were supposed to adopt a boy last year) but this girl thing...we just can't agree. LOL

we haven't met but I'm Cheri and I'm currently 24.5 weeks pregnant with a baby girl, after 3 long years of TTC (and too many treatments). I'm due August 3. It's so wonderful to see other "graduates" of that long road.

I am SO with you, planning her first tentative trip for about a month after her 1st bday! :goodvibes

Let us know what you find out Friday! Any gut feelings?

Names: DH and I were able to decide very quickly on a boy's name. However, girls are a bit more difficult. We agree on the middle name, and we're generally in agreement on a number of first names, we just can't manage to pick one we like best. We've got it narrowed to 3/4 (there's one minor disagreement on spelling for one of them), but are having trouble getting beyond that.

WDW: My rule is no Disney with diapers. So, I'm planning a land and sea grand gathering for December 2015. Might be a bit ambitious, but I've got a couple of years to change my mind.

Hi Everyone!!!!

Wanted to give our update...baby "J" hb was 140 this morning and 3 centimeters!!!!!!!

Our nursery is sailboats.....

Hi everyone!

I'm 35 weeks as of yesterday and we have no names, and we close on our new house on May 4 (37.5 weeks)..... so no nursery, either. Heck, getting DS(2)'s room painted and decorated is definitely a priority, so it's unlikely we'll have a nursery until the baby is old enough to need a "big girl" room.

Do I win the disorganized award? :lmao:

Nice to meet you! I guess I missed out on the DIS TTC threads that I think a lot of people here were on. Oh, well.

Congrats on your baby girl! It's so fun to think about the first trips!

As far as gut feelings, my standard answer is that, if pressed for a guess, I'd say Boy, but I don't really trust my gut feeling, so maybe that means Girl. We'll see in a couple days, I guess!
