Yahoo! 24 weeks today! OMG so happy!:goodvibes Of course my math AGAIN is off. We have plane tix for our trip to NY on June 29th for the 4th of July. By what I thoguht were my correct earlier calculations I wasn't supposed to start 6 months until July 6th! Ooops! I'm hoping that DR. I gives me the go ahead to go. I'm thinking alot will depend on how my echo-cardiogram goes on Thursday. Yep let the 3 days before appt stress commence:lovestruc

Had a lovely weekend with Mike at the Old Town Art Fair and at a party at my boss' house. Wound up meeting Dr. I and his wife while walking around which was funny and brought them to the party to have a beer! I wish it had been earlier cause the party was winding down by the time we were there. Since my boss' house is right in the middle of the Fair it's a nice place to stop and relax for a drink and a bathroom break.:thumbsup2

I slept for a while yesterday and finally watched The King's Speech! It was very good but not so sure if I thought it was as supurb as oscar movies go. I would definately reccommend it as a rainy saturday afternoon rental though. Also I found this great website, http://www.rosenberryrooms.com/ It totally made me rethink the nursery and I'm really excited about seeing it come about now. I really wanted to start working on it this weekend but we are taking Meg away to WI for Father's Day Weekend. It will now have to wait until after we get back from NYC. I'm not going to worry to much about it but I'm putting my lists together for sure!:lovestruc

How's everyone feeling? SD how are you?

Hello hello! All here is going well.

Spent the weekend being a bit domestic and doing some cleaning around here and going out. On Saturday we just slept in and then cleaned up around the house a bit. DH actually was working on Saturday evening, so it was just a day spent relaxing at home before he went off to work. He is amazed at seeing the summer crowds this week! We usually never hit the parks in the summer time so he hasn't really seen those insane crowds before.

Sunday we ended up at a Food Truck Bazaar with some friends. :thumbsup2 That was actually a lot of fun and we ate so much food. Each person chose something and then we split everything up between everybody. DH got Tater Tots with Foie Gras and Organic Strawberry jam, it also came with some grilled octopus on a kabob. I ended up getting a Luther Burger. A Luther burger is a truly heart attack inducing creation which is composed of a bacon cheeseburger using two krispy kreme donuts as a bun. :scared1:

No news on the baby front. My due date is Wednesday and I don't think much is going on. Hopefully at this weeks appointment they will let me schedule the appointment for induction next week. That way I can schedule the induction for Thursday and have Charlie here by the weekend when all the grandparents come into town. I do NOT want a bunch of spectators trying to come into the delivery room, so if I can get her there before the weekend it would be *ideal*. The only new symptom I have is killer heartburn. I have never had that before but now have to stay upright much of the time otherwise I feel kinda rotten.

The newborn photographer is set and ready to go! As soon as Charlie is born I just let her know, and we will photograph Charlie at 5 days old (apparently the magic age for this photographer). We will be getting her Tutu shot, a naked baby shot, a beach theme shot, and maybe a shot of Charlie on a large stuffed cow we have for her. I think the cow would be cute to give some perspective on her size since she will obviously keep that toy for a while.

Good luck to all other ladies!

E: Good luck with the Echo! Hope you get cleared for further travel!

I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow! What a milestone! Especially after going through the miscarriage in October. I feel really good and am mostly anxious-free, though not completely. Hope you get to take your trip!

I heard the same about The King's Speech, good but not what it was made out to be. I watched most of An Education yesterday - need to finish it - and really enjoyed that.

We started decorating the nursery but we don't have any of the furniture yet. Just put up the wall clings and some other decorated hooks on the wall. I did wash some clothes Saturday. None of the new ones yet, just the hand-me-downs from a friend. I enjoyed doing it b/c I felt like I was getting somewhere. I really wish we had the furniture b/c I am ready to get it set up. My in-laws are getting our crib, changing table, and pack-n-play but I don't know when they will give it to us.

My shower is set for July 23rd! I so wanted it to be before I went back to work Aug 1 and before DH's sister and fam move to Hawaii Aug 5 (her hubs is military), but my cousins weren't doing a good job of planning it. One wanted to have it at Frontera so people could just order and pay for their own food...what??? Thank goodness my aunt is taking over.

DH's 17 year old son arrived last night and will be here until next Friday. We'll be doing lots of stuff (Arena football game, minor league baseball game, mini golf, etc) while he is here. Should be fun!

Hope you either go into labor or get your induction before the crowds arrive! :)

As far as the heartburn, I have had it for a few weeks. It is constant unless I take something. My doc and the pharmacist said Zantac is what they recommend for preggos. It really helps. With out it, I'd be miserable.

YAH for newborn photog! Sounds like some great shots. I'll have to research that as we get further in. I have 2 photog recommendations so far.

Ariel: Congrats on 24 weeks!

So today I am feeling miserable. Exactly what I needed with my due date tomorrow is to develop massive cold/flu symptoms. I feel entirely stuffed up, headache, sore throat. Generally rotten. The stuffy nose and chest combined with the size of Charlotte makes me feel short of breath. I am trying to load up on fluids, vitamins, and have Vapor Rub slathered on me. DH is quite concerned over me feeling so rotten and is doing a good job of taking care of me.

I think this may be a combo of being near the end and having developed some serious insomnia the past few days. On the bright side I had no heart burn at all yesterday! I made myself a pillow ramp and tried sleeping a bit more upright. It worked for a few hours until the body aches from the cold set in. So today I am feeling like complaining and moaning/groaning/throwing a pity party. Hopefully I will get over it soon. Until then I will milk this for renting crappy movies and having DH feel too bad for me to complain!

morning all....
SD, that is awful being sick - hope you feel better soon.

Ar - congrats on being 24 weeks...I'll eb 27 wks on Friday - one more week until the third tri!!

Waiting on the results of the one hour test...hope it comes soon.

So it looks like I'm joining this thread again! I took an hpt (okay, let's be honest, I took a few) the day after my daughter's first birthday, and I am in fact pregnant again! Based on a due date calculator that I looked at, my scheduled due date would be February 14! My husband and I are both very happy, but a little overwhelmed because everything happened so fast. It took us over 10 months to get pregnant with our daughter and this time we got pregnant right off the bat, it's CRAZY! I have my first appointment next week to 'confirm' everything, but I'm just hoping for a smooth pregnancy. I had preeclampsia basically the last 2 1/2 months with my daughter which was hard on everyone. I look forward to getting to ‘know’ everyone!

Hello one and all!

Had the 40 week appointment today, on my official due date. Charlotte has dropped very low into the pelvis (to the point where I now measure 2 weeks behind). Cervix is still long and no dilation, so with this in mind we are going to schedule an induction. They will call me with an exact time but it looks like I may go in Sunday evening for an induction if Charlie does not show herself before then. I am almost hoping for her to hang out in there a bit longer as I am still horribly congested and feeling rotten from my cold. On the way home DH and I gave this look: :scared1: to each other. By this time next week we will have a baby here. I am equal parts terrified and excited.

Luckily, I am not running any temps. I am just stuffed up and achy. I have been trying to rest and taking a combo of tylenol, robitussin, & sudafed along with some Vit C supplements. I don't wanna be sick when she gets here. Mommy's first gift to baby, a respiratory infection! :sad2: Hopefully I can be done with this soon. The cold was in my head yesterday, today has moved into my chest. Hopefully it will be out of me soon!

ETA: Induction is set for Saturday evening! Woohoo. Not sure whether to be more nervous or more happy. I want her here, I want to meet her! But I am also nervous about the end of an era of just me and DH being able to be spontaneous. So much to think about. I can't wait to meet little Charlie!

Welcome to LaurenLC! Good luck to everyone else!

welcome Laurenc... and congrats!!

well I got the news yesterday that I passed the one hour glucose test....mighty surprised! I failed with the last 2 pregnancies and had to do teh 3 hour and I was never eating sweets then, this time, nothing but sweets!!! I am happy though, shocked, but happy.

Little guy is moving all around and I now that the shock has finally worn off and I've finally "come out" at work (at 26 weeks) I am just thrilled and can't wait for this baby to get here, well, ok, I can wait until its time so he is healthy!!

We picked up the crib but can't get it put together until the room is cleared out and painted...hope to get that done this weekend. DH is wokring and I plan to throw a ton of stuff away!!

We are using the sock monkey theme and the colors are khaki, cream and cranberry that I plan to use in the room....

SD - hope you get better before Charlie gets here!!! (and for your sake too)

Hey ladies!
I'm happy to be joining your thread! :) Some of you may remember me from the TTC thread. I'm so happy that I have finally made it to this point. For those of you who don't know me (or need a refresher) I'm Joanne  DH and I had been trying to conceive for a little over a year and a half. After 7 months with an RE we finally got our BFP! On Monday we had an u/s and we got to see our baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was such a magical moment and we are thrilled. My anxiety and nervousness have definitely gone down since we saw that little heartbeat. We go Monday for our last appt with the RE before we "graduate" to the OB. Our due date (based on when I ovulated and not LMP) is February 3 (using LMP it would be January 30).
So excited to be spending the next 9 months with you all! :woohoo:

Morning Ladies ~
Just wanted to pass on the news that Rose's sister Jane passed away on Wednesday, God bless her. I'm sure she can read PMs if you want to send them to her. I read her post on FB last night and shed a few tears for Rose and her family because although they knew this day was coming, it doesn't make it any easeir. I am happy for Jane that she is free from her sickness and trial may she Rest in Peace.

How are you feeling? We're thinkin of you!

Can I join as well??? I've been trying to convince myself to join in for weeks now.

DH and I are expecting our first in October (the 27th). We've been TTC since May of last year and its been a rough road including 2 miscarriages and some scares this pregnancy, but we've been hoping and praying. I have my monthly OB appointment tomorrow. Anatomy scan was 3 weeks ago and everything looked good. Hoping these next 4 months fly by!

Welcome Racheal! So many new members.

e: I am feeling much improved. I would say I am about 95% function today. I feel pretty darn good but still have a cough. I am keeping up with the meds, vitamins, and resting until Saturday. It has been going pretty well so far. I don't feel congested, achy, or overly tired anymore. Slept well last night. So I am hopeful to have this kicked by Saturday!

Right now I am trying to figure out what I want for my 'last meal' before going in on Saturday! I have one last opportunity to eat something terrible fattening, so I need to think about what to have. :rotfl:

DH is super excited for the induction. Most especially because it means his Dad and Bio-Mom will not have to run into each other. His dad and mom can have a few days with Charlotte before Bio-Mom flies into town on next Friday. This lifts a weight off of DH's shoulders. Now he can relax about that!

Congrats! Happy for you that it happened sooner as opposed to later, like last time! My plan, at the moment, is to wait until AJ's first birthday and then start trying for #2, as I'll be almost 39 by then and don't want to wait much longer than that!

Yah to passing the 1 hour!! I guess I will find out on Tuesday (my next appt) when my glucose test will be. Yah to crib! And cute on sock monkey theme. I definitely want to get a sock monkey for AJ. :)

Congrats!! How exciting! And how wonderful to see that heartbeat. I remember when we first saw AJs. It was an anxious moment b/c we never saw a hb for our first pregnancy in Sept. My due date is based on my O date also (I had to trick the OB office with different LMP dates) b/c I ovulated 3 days early on CD11. Otherwise, I'd be measuring off.

Congrats!! My due date is in October as well, October 5th. Also, my birthday is Oct 29th! And we went through 1 missed miscarriage in September before getting pregnant with AJ in January.

Glad you are feeling better! And I agree about the last meal. You have to have something really good and yummy! :) Glad everything is working out for the in-law situation. :)

As for me, not much going on. I have had to stop buying baby clothes, we have plenty, more than enough and will get more I am sure. I am still buying a couple packs of diapers every week. My shower is set for July 23rd and will be at our house (which most people haven't seen since we bought it in December). I am just really ready to set up the nursery but we just need to wait until the shower so we'll have stuff to set up! LOL. Been to water aerobics several times the past two weeks and have really enjoyed it. My DSS is in town. DH is so happy to spend time with him, as he lives in Colorado (we are in GA) so they don't see each other but once a year.

Have a great Friday, ladies!

Today was our last appt with the RE! We now have officially "graduated" on to the OB! :yay: We will go and meet with the nurse practitioner at my OB's office on Wednesday just so they can go over everything from the RE's office and get acquainted with where things are at now.
We had an u/s again today and it was great to see the baby growing and the heartbeat thumping away. The heart rate was 150 bpm and the CRL was 12.82mm.
Morning *ahem* All day long sickness has started for me. This weekend I didn't move off the couch. The thought of food and eating was awful. I think all I had was chicken broth and a shake on Saturday! I'm also having acid reflux after I eat which doesn't help. DH knew it was bad when he offered to get me Chipotle, Portillo's, and other junk I normally LOVE and I didn't want any of it. I survived today at work with lots of saltines and sucking on jolly ranchers. Keeping something in my mouth definitely helps, but the thought of a big meal still sounds awful to me! Let's hope this sickness is short-lived! It really sucks but at the same time I couldn't be happier! :lovestruc I waited so freaking long for this morning sickness to happen to me! :rotfl2:
