Can't believe we are back from WDW and back to the grind! Had a great night with Scottishduffy and her DH! Our guys got along very well and SD is lovely! We were walking out and Mike says, Crap we forgot to take a picture! Typical! We are totally looking foward to visiting with them again when the babies are here:goodvibes So sorry we missed out on seeing Meg! She and the hubby were having a lovely dinner at AKL! Yum! Can't wait to hear aobut it!

I had another tummy pop yesterday afternoon! My DSD Meg was very surprised when she saw me! We are having her slumber party this weekend for her b-day, which is actually at the end of the summer. It will be fun to have the girls around, 9 13 year olds for a slumber party! God help me!!!

On a happy note I received an update from the TTC thread! One of the girls received a BFP so I'm hopeful she will be joining us soon!:cool1:

On a sad note, and I hope that Rose doesn't mind me sharing, but Rose's sister Jane is not doing well and is in the hospital. Please keep her sister and her family in your prayers during this time as the prognosis does not look good.:sad1:

Hope everyone is well!:thumbsup2

Glad you guys had a good meet up! Enjoy the sleepover. Awesome on your TTC friend!

E - I am so glad you had a nice trip. I have to say I am a bit jealous. Our next trip is planned for April 2012 - sooooo far away!

I'm planning ours for end of May/beg of June 2012...

I don't mind that you shared about my DSis. I haven't posted on here because it is hard to see in words. Her cancer has spread even farther and I fear I may not get back home before she passes or before she knows who I am. My heart is so broken today that I can hardly function. Having all these preggo homones flowing thru my body really doesn't help.

I hope everyone else is having a much better day.

So sorry to hear about your sister. My thoughts are with you and your family. {{{HUGS}}}

Snow: I am sorry to hear about your Sis and will be thinking of you.

E: We had a fun time too! Good luck on that slumber party, hope you manage to survive it relatively sane. Also glad to hear about another TTC grad, I know you ladies on that thread go through a lot.

Not much to report here. I got out of work super early today and am just relaxing. DH has been worried about Charlotte coming later rather than earlier, and has been having chats with her every night.

You see, DH's Bio-mom is flying into town and camping out starting June 17 (2 days after my due date). Not a prob, they can get along alright now. The issue is that his Dad and Mom (technically step-mom, he calls her Mom) will want to drive to see Charlie the first weekend after she is born. Dad and Bio-Mom still *hate* each other. Our wedding was the first time they had been in the same room in over 20 years, and remains still the only time that have shared a room.:scared1: At least at the wedding we had buffer people and they never had to run into one another.

DH is afraid that if Charlie comes on time or late than his parents will have to share a room again and it will be very awkward. Bio-Mom hates the stepmom, the parents hate each other. There will be no buffers between them as both attempt to meet and share the grandbaby.Somebody is bound to be offended or hurt over DH or myself appearing to favor one side, or someone thinking the other is a 'baby hog'. However, if Charlie comes just a little early his Dad and Mom can have their meeting and time with Charlotte before bio-mom even gets here. So, Every night DH cuddles up to my tummy to ask Charlotte if she can perform just one small favor.... show up a little early. It is cute to watch his conversations with the tummy, they are very urgent but sweet little chats. Let's see if she listens to him. ;)

I feel bad that DH has more stress over his parents coming together than he does about the baby! I just wish I could help him with that but there isn't really anything I CAN do. His parents feud ends up being our stress.

Well, not much else to say for now. Keep well ladies!

That sounds like a rough situation. I hope you are able to get it all worked out!

Not much to report here. On Summer Break and I am loving it! I've slept in until 7am both days (normally I am up at 5:30), gotten a little sun (not too much), worked out, ran errands, napped, watched TV, relaxed.... :)

Got my maternity bathing suit in the mail today! I'm going to one of our county parks tomorrow with a friend. They have mini water parks basically, so we'll go walk the river channel to get some exercise. Then Monday, I'm going back with my mom for a water aerobics class.

Also got some new bras and underwear from the Victoria Secret semi-annual sale. I am now a 40D so I definitely needed something new and I wanted some pretty ones to wear under spaghetti straps and tank tops.

Picked up some Lansinoh Lanolin lotion today for my always-itching nipples! Its so weird, but if I squeeze on them at all, stuff (colostrum, I suppose) comes out...that is extremely weird to me. I should probably not do that though.

Also, I haven't felt AJ move as much the last couple of days, which freaks me out. But I listened with the doppler last night and heard the hb so I suppose all is well.

Ok, for not much to report I said a lot...lol. Have a great one, ladies!

E and SD... I'm SO GLAD you two hit it off! I was so sad we didn't make it. :(

We had the night from HELL.

Our dinner (Boma, tradition :) ) was great. Our reservation was for 6:45, which was weird, because I don't recall them giving "odd" times like that... Turns out I was right, and our "reservationist" should have told us it was for 7:00. It was SO PACKED. We felt rushed out, but the food was good.

We had planned to spend the evening in DTD regardless of whether we all met up or not, and had planned to take the bus and not the car down there.

We waited 15 minutes for a bus before we gave up. Then, I swear we couldn't find one damn parking spot once we got down there. Grumpy got mad and I just said forget it at that point. It was near 10 and I didn't think you all would be down there anyways at that point! LOL!

Just thought I'd let you know starting Sunday Target will be having a deal on diapers....

the huggies or pampers packs that cost 8.99/pk will be 8.99, but when you buy 3 packs you get a $5 gift card!!! They will also let you use coupons on each pack, and I think Sunday's paper will have $3/pk Pampers diapers in it (if the deal sites are correct).

I have a nice stockpile of diapers, but have realized how quickly I am going through them...Casey is 3 weeks old today and I have gone through 3 CASES of newborn diapers!!!!:scared1: (I swear, breastfeeing poop goes RIGHT through him!!!)

They almost always have a diaper deal at Target. A few weeks ago, it was buy 2 of the jumbo (8.99) packs and get a free $5 gift card and I used my coupons. The next week it was buy 2 big packs (the next size up), the next week it was 2 value packs of Target brand. I use the site couponmom.com. She comes out with the deals for the next week on Wednesday so I always plan out my next weeks shopping deals early. She also has the Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, Kroger, etc deals. I make sure to find the best diaper deals.

What a great weekend! Meg's party was great and we all had fun!:thumbsup2 I now have blue nails that resemble the color of the Dis menu bar:laughing: Sunday we had my DN's graduation party. Shesh it's not a party til someone gets stupid:laughing:.

I'm fighting a cold still which sux cause as you know we can't take anything:headache::sick: I sound worse then I feel I think but shoot! I'm done with it! I'm not as sick as Rose was earlier this year (fingers crossed!) but still feel like poopy!

That's like all the time for me! LOL. I love my blue nail polish. Its kind of more of a blue-gray this time though!

Sorry to hear it though there are a few things we can take. I can't think of them off hand but my doc gave me a list plus its on their website. It might be worth a google search so you can feel a little better.

What's up with you all?

Doing well. Enjoying Summer Break though I don't think there is a day I haven't left the house for something, errands, social event, etc. I have worked out every day except Sunday and thats really my goal, to keep that up all summer. Its the only shot I have to make sure to get it in like that. Once I'm back at school, its going to be very hard b/c I'll be working long hours there at the beginning.

Ordered some books from Amazon.com b/c I had to place an order to continue my Amazon Prime benefits. Got one for DH for Father's Day, and Baby Bargains and Happiest Baby on the Block.

Ok, I think I'm actually going to water aerobics today. I was supposed to go yesterday with my mom but she got sick. Hopefully she is feeling better today. Have a great Tuesday!

E - I'm sorry to hear about your cold! That totally stinks! Hot tea helped me. It seemed to keep my throat feeling good and helped me stay hydrated. I found some herbal tea that was caffeine free that was yummy. I also was able to take sudafed - it helped with the congestion.

Ariel- Good job with the workouts! I have been bad about it myself.

Also, thanks for the well wishes with my DSis. She isn't going to get better. But she is comfortable now. I talked to my DMom and she told me to take care of myself and family - not to rush to see my DSis. I was able to see her when she knew who I was - she may not now. The cancer has invaded the lining in her brain and she has delirium. She has times where she is with it and times she talks about dancing with Leprecans. My DMom told me last night that she is in no pain and hasn't lost her sense of humor.

Other than that I am feeling pretty good. I am amazed that I am at 25 weeks. It seems unreal after all this time and waiting. We are still trying to come up with names. On Saturday I told DH that I liked the name Hope because I found out I was pregnant within a day of when my DSis found out she had terminal cancer. I feel like God gave her to us (my whole family) as a sign of hope for the future. Of course when I told him about the name and reason I was crying - he told me it wasn't fair to cry because it is so hard to tell a pregnant crying woman no :lmao: We will see...

Have a great week everyone!

I think Hope is a beautiful name!!

I finally went and picked up the crib and mattress yesterday. No where near ready to put it together. Still have to get the nursery cleaned out and painted!! We are doing a scok monkey theme and I ordered some sock monkey fabric push pins off etsy, they came yesterday and are adorable!!

I go for my 1 hr glucose on Friday...am already thinking I will fail this one....!

Again, I am sorry about your sister. I couldn't imagine having to go through that. The only comfort I can offer is that she will no longer be suffering and she will be looking down on you and your wonderful baby always! I love the name Hope. It is perfectly fitting. :)

I'm 23 weeks, just a little bit behind you. When is your due date? Mine is Oct 5th. We have tons of clothes and quite a few diapers but nothing else. Honestly, we are waiting on my hubby gets a paying job (he is interning for 3 companies) so our financial situation gets better. Plus we haven't had any showers yet and both our parents are here with us, and I have a huge family here. So we should at least be able to get all the necessary items before AJ comes. I just wish I could do it now. How is your nursery coming along?

YAH to crib and mattress! Good luck at the 1 hr test!

Hi, ladies! Well my books from Amazon should come today. But I messed up. Books didn't extend my Amazon Prime benefits and I randomly thought about that yesterday out of the blue. It had to be a purchase from the Baby Store. So I ended up having to place another order! Oh well. Its was all stuff I wanted, so no big deal.

Another stupid thing I did was last night. I was really craving cake yesterday, all day. So at 9:30, I decided to go to Kroger and get some slices. Well, I broke my right side mirror and the casing backing out of the garage! And I was totally trying to turn the car so I DID NOT do that. Ugh! I am so annoyed at myself b/c of it. I guess I should be happy it is only the mirror and not the side of my car. But still...ugh!

Anyway, thats about it for me. Oh, 23 weeks today! So excited to be moving along! :) Have a great one, gals!

Hello to all!

Ariel: Sorry to hear about the mirror on your car. DH has done that a couple times, his mirror is actually broken enough to where he can fold it in (even though it isn't supposed to). :sad2:

Lily: Good luck on the glucose test!

Snow: I think Hope is a lovely name!

E: Glad to hear the slumber party went well, hope all the girls had fun.

So this week will be my last week of work. I am just starting to feel tired and think I will enjoy having next week at home. Today was my 39 week appointment and all is well. Had the cervix check today and as I suspected there is nothing going on down in babytown. She said I was soft, 50% effaced, but not dilated at all. Figures! Once again confirming that she thinks I will most likely go late. I asked how late I go before they induce and she said usually just a week over they will want to induce.

DH was with me at this appointment and when it came time for the cervical check he asked if he should step out. I told him to stay, nothing he hasn't seen before. At which point his retort is "Well yeah..... I like to eat hamburgers too but that doesn't mean I wanna see the slaughterhouse." :rotfl2: He was just joking around but the comment made the OB crack up.

We had a lovely breakfast out this morning at a restaurant we had a groupon for and then walked around Magic Kingdom for 2-3 hours. My moment of pride for the day was maxing out the score on Buzz Lightyear. :woohoo: After that we picked up a couple small items at Babies R us and came home. I am now dead tired and just hanging out on the sofa.

I have contacted a newborn photographer and will be setting that up shortly and am getting so excited to see Charlie. I just want to see what she looks like! DH and I will be installing the car seat this weekend. I have been meaning to do it for a while but other things seem to come up. This weekend I will actually do it. Not much else to report, looking forward to my last day of work on Friday!!

I know its not the end of the world but I am still kicking myself! I guess its just one more thing going on with all the other stuff I feel like is not going my way lately!

How exciting to be so close! Sorry you are so exhausted, that part isn't exciting I'm sure. But I am so looking forward to being where you are! Not that I'm trying to rush through, but to be that close to holding your baby in your arms! What an awesome feeling!

SD - you must be getting so excited! Both of my DDs were late. I wasn't prepared for that with my first and I almost drove myself crazy waiting. My second was a VBAC - I really didn't want to be induced with her, and my OB agreed and let me go 2 weeks past. It really wasn't bad because it was what I wanted. So I guess what I am saying is that my attitude helped alot.

I am really looking forward to my DDs being done with school for the summer. I can't wait to sleep past 6 am!

Ariel- We haven't even started on the nursery yet. We have to move my DD10 from her small room to the bigger guest room. It will be easier to do when she is home to help. She is a total pack rat and will need to help sort. I am looking forward to getting it started.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Wow, your kids are still in school? Where are you located? My students have been out since May 27, and our last day was May 31.

Sounds like you have a good plan with your DD helping to move her stuff so you can get the bursery cleared out. My Dh wanted to move our nursery to the big guest room that is connected to the bathroom, but I think its probably best to leave it in the smaller room for now, so he agreed. :)
